When in the history of this game would you ever reroll damage OFF of an item?

Not tricky reroll at all. Get rid of IAS.

posted a message on tavern talk what will be asking and discussing and when

Like all politics, asking ethical questions that require complicated answers will be deflected with no-meaning answers. Instead, the only actual "information" you'll get out of it will be stuff that's already been revealed on sites and blogs.

Here's a look into the future...

Q: What are your plans on dealing with bots and cheats?

A: We tend to not discuss what we're doing in the fight against bots for the simple reason that any shred of information that goes out has the potential to hurt our efforts. Simply put, the safer botters (and bot-makers) feel, the more likely we are to catch them. Minutes count with these sorts of things. Using made-up numbers here, but just for illustration: a new detection method that catches 50 botters could have only been 5 (or none) if the botters had any reason to believe there might be something coming.

I completely understand why that's a crappy response, but we have to use every single advantage we can get here, and that means being relatively quiet about an issue that's obviously very important -- both to the community, and to us.

As to the question of "player reporting vs Blizzard detection," that's not something we're taking an either/or response to. We're constantly working on improving our detection methods. That doesn't mean that player reports don't help.

    Q: What's new in 2.3?

A: The frozen wasteland that is the Ruins of Sescheron are now open for exploration! Filled with new enemies, traps, and environmental hazards, you'll be able to explore the region and learn more about what befell the barbarians of Mount Arreat. Explore the Immortal Throne and obtain the ultimate treasure: Kanai's Cube.

Kanai's Cube is a new artisan that offers a slew of new recipes to fully customize your items and catalogue your Legendary powers. Several recipes are available to players immediately upon acquiring Kanai's Cube.

Q: When will 2.3 go live?

A: We're still aiming for Season 3 to be at least 4 months long. As Wyatt mentioned previously, our goal is to strike a balance between providing enough time for players to commence their journey together, and for their Seasonal characters to mature.

As always, we'll continue to review any constructive feedback we see on this and compare it to our own data in making adjustments to find the ideal Season length.

    Hope that helps!

You should probably research Blizzard's stances on its design changes from Diablo 2 to Diablo 3 back in 2011 when the beta was running because this is just going to repeat that information.

It is like dailies/weeklies. The difference is that you are sent across the world to do new things every day. One day you might be visiting an ancient Night elven temple off the shores of Desolace, the other you might be invading Southshore. Hence, the adventure.

I'm a fan of normal daily quests (which we don't have in WoD, sadly) as they revolve around a new story, letting you do fun things on the new continent. But I think there is room for these types of quests across the entire game, too.

Yeah, I don't know how many people are currently playing D3, but given its sales performance last year (both D3 and RoS top 10 sellers despite D3 being two years old by that point), it's clearly a lot.

If you're the sort of person who must be the best.. given the number of players, and given that we have region-wide leaderboards.. there is a very very very very good chance that you are not going to be anywhere near the best. If this is going to cause you problems - you probably should not even try to compete.

D3 was a game millions of people bought, played it for a week, beat it, and shelved it, just like any other consumable console game.

People playing 'currently' is absurdly low.

While I don't disagree, I'm just honestly surprised. The contrast compared to S1 is so different. It's barely, if even, been a month yet? Didn't S1 last like 6 months?

The thing is, however ôwerful the proc, an item which is unreliable isn't powerful at all. "In attempts at a rift boss, you'll die 20 times and onsehot him once" isn't a good item.

for farming, no. for top ranks, yes. you just keep doing it until you get lucky. after all, thats how GR runs work.

the damage roll isn't very good, so reroll that. It already has 8% which is fine so rerolling the VIT is kind of pointless.
