Less so for the group build. But the solo build utilizes CoE and flame blades to give you doubled up swami stacks for both the fire and lightning coe.
Since you're using CoE you are required to have maximum cdr in order to reduce the archon cd short enough to sync up every fire coe (due to lack of obsidian).
@angryroleplayer for the build linked cdr is not near as relevant and you can get overlapping swami stacks easily for every fire with obsidian ring.
monk + barb are mandatory. zdps wizard and zdhs are trying to be there too, but they barely contribite to the groups and mostly try to stay alive.
zdoc is still useful but monk+barb are too good to pass now. and third support is switched to DPS.
Dont really agree with that, havent played with many zdh's but zwiz is invaluable. They have a pixel pull which is incredible for monks, they bring some crazy damage reduction with some great damage amp, the buff the tits off of the damage AND they completely negate some pretty brutal affixses (arcane, frozen pulse, molten).
Its so strong that a zwiz/zwmonk/gen cleared a 12 minute 101 for the rank 1 3 man in europe.
Playing an archon wiz I would much much rather play with zmonk/wiz/barb and me as the wiz than with 2 dps. Makes stacks waaaay easier to handle.
If you cant be bothered to put in the effort required to get the reward you shouldnt get it. Not everyone deserves a participation trophy, its a weird idea in this society, but just sometimes you actually have to do something to get a benefit, and in this case blizzard is giving people the reward who create a brand new character, dont have any of their old gear, and work from scratch.
Its not gated behind anything ridiculously hard, its not even the reward for the last conquest (which can be tough) and you get a free set. Its easily acquirable in 20-40 hours of casual playing.
Its cool if you dont want to play seasons, but to demand you get the reward that people who are actually putting the effort are getting is hilarious.
What about in groups? I've heard a bit about WD damage but if the shift is really to more quick runs I would have imagined that FB/Archon would be groovy for the 80-95 range.
I mean i assumed that the bug being exploited would be fixed but I vaguely remember someone mentioning that the swami fix to additive killed FB/Archon.
Any truth to it? What will the best solo build be for wizard? Or is it still pretty unknown.
The main people banned in S5 were high-profile people or people high on the leaderboards, neither of which are present in non-season. Why would they? Its where casual people go to chill, no one takes their leaderboards seriously (not even sure they have any?)
Yeah well if you counted from the start of the season that would have been 11 weeks which would equal out to just under 8 and a half hours a week. Pretty reasonable to sit down and play for an average of 2 hours 4 days a week.
Theyre not too hard, if you give a shit and put in an effort they're pretty trivial. Nothing wrong with not always handing out participation medals.
