Many a night of Hell Mephisto runs were fueled by Friday's Bacon and Cheddar Potato Skins, I'll certainly have to look into buying a bag or two of those just for the sake of nostalgia. It's been the better part of 7 years since I had a bag but I definately remember them being an acquired taste so I'll prolly have to ease into them again
As for beverages it used to be good old Mountain Dew but I've sworn off soda of any kind for several years now and won't ruin it just for D3, as worthy a reason as it is, so I'll probably end up with a case or 2 of Vitamin Water XXX.
This is where you put your apologies and retractions, especially if you were especially rude on the other side of that one.
I think Molster needs to make a thread for the sole purpose of presenting a place for you to apologize to him. Sounds like a better thread then what this is.
Wasn't one of the major reasons Ghost got dumped because they took so long developing it that the time frame for release would have put it out right as 360 was due to hit the market?
I had that game on preorder for so long I had totally forgotten about it till digging through my car and finding the receipt for it. Was nice finding 50 bucks I had forgotten about.
Theres any prove that those minions are the only ones able to drop an amulet ?
Not really any solid proof such as a loot table or anything like that, but its the only place I've ever seen them drop from personally or heard other people say they've gotten them from.
The weird thing about this is I'm interested even though I have absolutely no idea what its about. Sounds like fun drama to witness from the 3rd person pov however.
I'll assume you meant "not so unoriginal" and simply state sometimes its the simple things that are the best. That and because cramming a bunch of shit into a cube was a real blast amirite?
The only thing I remember hearing about a Diablo movie was a movie being produced by the same name but had absolutely nothing to do with the game and Blizzard pursuing legal action against it.
How dare you lie to me! i7-2600k has 4 cores, 8 threads! (sneaky intel. Always go AMD, half the price and just as good =) paid 200 for my quad core 3.7ghz)
Eh whatever just copied and pasted from my xfire upload rig info. I don't remember what I paid for each individual piece I just know what the whole thing cost, somewhere around 2000 with no peripherals aside from a 100 dollar headset. I wasn't really concerned about the price at the time. Just wanted to make sure I had a good enough rig to kick the shit outa BF 3 and the new MechWarrior game. Of course with EAs horseshit with origin I didn't buy BF3 and I found out recently that the new MW game is going to be a Free to Play MMO now so I'm quite disappointed there as well.
What are the specs of your rig? What resolution do you run the game? It looks like you run it really well.
I'll assume you are referring to me with this question since the videos posted were not recorded by the op nor were the weapon effects recorded by their respective posters (as far as I know).
The basic rig specs are:
Processor:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600K CPU @ 3.40GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.4GHz
Memory:
16384MB RAM
Hard Drive:
180 GB SSD(Primary)
1 TB HDD (Secondary)
Video Card:
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 x2 SLI
My resolution is only at 1440x900 sadly, I have a very limited desk space for a monitor in terms of height due to a bookcase above my desk so I am limited to my current 20 or 22 inch monitor.
Fair enough, I'll back down if for no other reason than to open the way for more of the kinds of responses OP was hoping for rather than bickering back and forth.
Yes, while I did specifically implicate you in the previous post, as a general example, for a minor yet still hostile and fan boyish response to my inquiry which you could of had no way of understanding what I meant without actually having the beta and clearly did not read the entire sentence but instead saw D3 come into question and made your response. You cannot tell me you have not seen exactly what I am referring to a dozen times in the 24 days you've been an active member here.
If that is indeed how it is, the particle effects scale in intensity, then I absolutely agree. I was just concerned by the thought that maybe they backed off on the particle effects. Hopefully someone comes along soon that data mines the various levels of intensity for each enchants and posts them proving this theory to be fact.
Just a shame you can't post something without fan boys, wishhehadbeta, throwing a shit fit that you even so much as considered the game had a possible flaw. I been anticipating this game just as long as the most die hard of the fans. I remember getting all worked up over the very fact Blizzard contacted the old diablo3.com (wasn't it this group that had it originally?) asking for the domain years ago, but getting overly defensive about even the slightest discerning eye doesn't do anyone any good.
Thing that concerns me is they seem to have removed some base item types such as the 'Gaff' and 'Spitze' as seen in the first video. I understand they are nothing more then just axes but I like to see the variation.
Also, anyone notice how in the beta the element enchanted weapons' particle effects are just kinda lame mists? I really REALLY hope they become more intense the higher the actual elemental dmg they provide is or something.
Those two things aside I definitely prefer the current style.
ya go watch thre video molster posted, some of those effects are super awesome. theres like 15. i dont see how you think thats lame. how would YOU change them?
Thats just the thing though, those look amazing, however in beta currently as I said they are just colored mists.
Example:
Thats my Wizard with a fire damage saber. Does that minor glow effect look anything at all like whats in that video? The first thing I did when I equipped it was let out a big ole wtf and spend the next 20 minutes hunting down that very same video on these forums. The only thing I can think of, as I previously states, is maybe...

No joke there, witch doc is an interesting class I'd love to make it my 2nd or 3rd character, but so many of its skills are just useless.

Also before you even ask, Yes, that is with every setting on maximum.
