    We didnt news that, because it is 100% not true.
    First they know nothing, Blizzard is not going to tell a company like that. They never have, and never will (at least any time soon with their current business system).

    Second, all of amazons sites would have switched if one branch seriously got such a message (which they did not)

    as always, we dont want a new thread every single time a site changes it dates, it happens, it means nothing.
    Please feel free to search for one of the many "general" release date speculation threads and talk about it there.

    Release
    The release date for Diablo III has been pushed to some time in the first quarter of 2012 (January - April). A specific date has not yet been announced and is not yet known.

    What This Means
    No release date is currently known. In the meantime, please do not post threads about bogus or unfounded release dates. Such threads will be closed or deleted unless significant new information is present in the discussion.


    Preordering
    With preorders for Diablo III possible through a number of online stores, you may be tricked into thinking that retailers have secret, inside information about a release date. This is false.

    The release date that you see on any online retail site for Diablo III is a tentative filler date that is not based on anything known or revealed. No release date is known by anyone except Blizzard until the company chooses to announce it to the public, in which case there will be a news thread here on DiabloFans.

    What This Means
    We know that various high-profile online stores have a preorder option availible for Diablo III, as well as a tentative filler date. In the meantime, please do not post threads about preorder dates or using them for a basis of estimating a release date. Such threads will be closed or deleted unless significant new information is present in the discussion.

    They made a named subdirectory here for a reason.

    I was wondering how long it would take for this place to lose all of its manners after the lead mod left.
    First, sixen was not a mod, he was a admin, he did no moderating of the forums, nothing has changed from when he has left, Plus this is a topic comparing D3 to another, it belongs here, that is, as long as this topic stays on track, no more insulting people for their thoughts.

    Though it should also be noted that the search should be used next time, we have about 2 other topics on TL2 VS D3 Systems.

    They're really trying to squeeze as much money out of D3 as they possibly can, aren't they? It sickens me that they have to pull this maneuver just to bribe people into maintaining a WoW subscription. Personally I have nothing against WoW, but when it takes large hits from SWTOR, Blade and Soul, and GuldWars 2 I'll be jumping with joy.

    They're treating Diablo 3 as a tool, and that upsets me.

    why? they are one company... this is what a company should do. They fact they that came up with this idea is very impressive.
