I want to play simply because I spent 8 years scouring and searching the internet for any nibble, rumour or possible hint that D3 *may* have actually been in development. Then, once it was finally officially announced, I had to wait another 4 damn years anyway...

I know it's pretty obvious (pretty sure it's been confirmed) that D3 will have expansions, but I just watched this interview and if you listed closely at 25 seconds onwards Jay hints at more Diablo games.

"Diablo 3... This is the first of the games where it's not... just one demon hanging out in Sanctuary or walking the planet. It's literaly all of Hell invading. It's all out war on Sanctuary, Hell has seen the power humanity has. They have seen what humanity can do - they have destroyed The Three, and they're not taking any chances. They've decided to cut and run, and their philosophy is we're gonna burn it all down.

So players really need to be ready for a Hell on Earth in a way they've never seen before."


Holy shit, can't wait to see what the hell is gonna happen.

I just had a look at the character classes on the official site and is it just me or have the models been updated?

I don't remember the barbarian having that fur and talisman around his shoulders and neck, and i'm pretty sure the witchdoctor had less feathers on him before.

Hey guys, just wondering what the status is of the site's IRC channels. I recently reinstalled mIRC but was unable to connect to any Diablo3 channel on either the Globalgamers or Gamesurge networks.

I haven't used IRC since the game's announcement (when it was really busy) and want to know if anyone still uses it.

I hope they increase the difficulty of "Normal", at the moment it's rediculously easy.

It's been a while since I posted here as i've had a lot on over the past few months, so i'm not sure how much the following has been discussed:

I watched the Diablo III trailer again for the first time since the announcement and just wanted to mention something. Leah lights 3 candles, and i'm guessing this is meant to represent the 3 Prime Evils who were 'snuffed out' being reignited so to speak. She then lights one candle sitting upon an evil skull, and maybe this represents the creation of something more deadly than the other 3.

So perhaps the 3 Prime Evils have merged into a single entity? I know that some of you have suggested this before.

Merging aside i'm pretty sure the demon in the trailer is in fact Diablo and not Belial as some people have suggested. The demon has 3 mouths similar to a concept pic of Belial that shows he himself is covered with mouths (being the Lord of Lies). While this may suggest the demon is Belial, the demon's head is exactly the same as the skull that the Barbarian stands upon in the Diablo III Overthrown statue, which is meant to show a defeated Diablo.

Gah, who knows. I just want to play this already.

Hardcore is awesome. It keeps you on edge, slows the pace and ensures you enter battle utilising some concept of strategy.

I remember playing it with a friend, both of us were barbarians. We made a good team and we managed to reach level 50 or 60. I remember how epic it felt the day that he died and I inherited his gear, namely his upgraded Bonesnap. I felt that hammer was my friend's legacy.

Ahh memories. Unfortunately I died shortly afterwards and the hammer was lost. Doh!

True, but we will know that it is coming soon-ish.

Also we will have some idea of the direction Blizzard has taken it.

Firstly, appologies if this has been mentioned but i'm currently on a really bad dial up connection and as this thread is riddled with pictures it is a real pain to navigate.

The current teaser page looks like two glowing eyes, but I looked at it again from further away and now I see somethng different. The two glowing lights remind me of Tyreal's shoulders, specifically that moment that Marius mistakes Baal for the archangel.

From there, the smoke flowing outwards of the lights look like wings, and the 'V' shape between them look like a bowing head.

We will find out soon enough. But at this point despite how awesome the announcement will undoubtidly be, if it is not Diablo III it will be a real kick in the guts.

So the next issue features SC2, issue #154 will feature WotLK, and #155 may potentially feature DIII.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Although Blizz has stated the extra hall is to accommodate more fans, I don't think that is the only reason. They won't just have a big empty hall with lots of extra people standing in it, which means they will be using the hall to display stuff. I reckon that instread of WoW and SC2 overflowing into the third hall it will be used for something else.

Even if the third hall is chockers with this new stuff, provided they have left enough room to squeeze in even a handful of fans then they have accomplished the goal of accommodating more people.

Two events in the one year. Well to me that seems a bit excessive if they are only planning on showing us some more SC2 and WotLK stuff.

Especially since they are already keeping in touch with the community regarding SC2's development with their weekly Q&A's.

And they have just released an bunch of new WotLK info such as the flying mount combat, and info about obtaining a Death Knight and how his rune system works.

I think they have something else to show us, something major. I can only hope that it is indeed D3 and not a new IP. I would like to see what else they can pull out of their hat, but not at the cost of D3.
