Which is what I was saying however being able to play a beta of a game only enforces how you feel.
Also you can have your own personal opinion about if you will like it or if it will be good (for you) but you
also have some people who say it will be a bad or failed game. Which I don't think you can say until it is
    out and actually failing..

well saying a game is going to "fail" such as overall in the market is telling the future, which is impossible. lol. so yes thats just ignorant flaming. BUT saying it will be bad (for you) isnt, like you said. :P

Yeah, that's why I created this topic. I have a friend who is convinced the game will fail. He's dumb.

This thread is a but silly, but that's not why I'm replying. I just had to point out this little gem:

I just don't understand how a TRUE Diablo fan could sit there and "talk shit" about a game
they haven't played and that redefines and continues the story of Diablo I and II.

Probably the same way you can sit there and sing praises about a game you haven't played yet.

It's okay to be excited about D3, but being absolutely certain it will be great AND be "so much better" than a game that lasted over a decade and is one of the best-selling games of all time (and they didn't need anything ridiculous like 'always-online' and the RMAH to sell D2...imagine that!)...is a bit over the top.

your wrong, so is doku. its easy to see specific things you know you wont like in a game even before playing it, its not speculation if its your personal preference in games, so bashing specific parts or mechanics is their personal opinion. same can be said about the game being awesome, ive played hundreds of games over the years and i ALWAYS could tell by watching gameplay videos and reading about a game if i was going to enjoy it or not, ive NEVER been surprised that a game turned out more fun then i thought it would be because i do lots of research before i open my mouth, unlike some people. if the people in question have done their research, both are right to voice their opinions in a forum, its what a forum is for.

Which is what I was saying however being able to play a beta of a game only enforces how you feel.

Okay I can see where you are coming from but, I have done plenty of reading and discussing about
D3 plus I have played the beta and from what I can tell from it the game will be awesome.

I agree with you about the colour. Even Blizzard said they went back into Diablo II and were surprised at how much colour there is in the game. It's funny what people remember vs what it really looks like. Also, people said that DIII doesn't look 'gritty' enough compared to DII, but I think DII looks "gritty" because of the graphics in the game... You can see every pixel and that definitely changes the feel of the environments.

I love what they've done with DIII, the artwork is amazing. I think it's dark enough, and I think the environments have a lot more feeling to them than the ones in DII.

I don't think people realize that the graphics in d2 were just as colorful (for those who think
d3 isn't dark enough). The only difference now is that the graphics are more 3D and better.
I love D2 and it will always be one of my favorites. However, what they have done with Diablo 3,
in my opinion, looks amazing and I can't wait. Also you have to think about the future. They will be
adding plenty in the future with expansions and patches. Just like they did with D2. People might not
realize D2 wasn't the same game as it is now when it first released.

haha well this thread took a major turn. But very interesting stuff.
I've never dated a girl that was a gamer but I have dated some that
don't care about me playing games as long as I give her some kind of
attention. But any girl I've talked to recently I've given a heads up..
When D3 is released that will be my life for a while and they will have
    to work around it

I have 1 or 2 friends that also claim they won't buy D3... They are just lying, anyway, if they want to play with people online they will have to get D3 because everybody that I know will be playing D3

Haha very true! I guess some of them are just scared of change or to try something new.
I just don't understand how a TRUE Diablo fan could sit there and "talk shit" about a game

Also for someone to not want to play because of the RMAH is, in my opinion, a dumbass.
Diablo 2 had all kinds of sites for buying items. Now that it is worked into the game
to make blizzard money and make it easier/safer for gamer's to get their items. Also,
it will keep Diablo away from Pay-to-Play... yeah now that I think about it I don't want
to buy Diablo 3 anymore... <_<

Just get Diablo 3 Standard Edition + Red Bull.
Save $30, and a two hour wait in line.

Haha it's not the same!! I'll be getting that CE and some red bull =]

Also, I guess the thing that annoys me most is how someone (my friend)
can sit and judge a game so harshly when he hasn't seen/read anything
about it, besides what I've talked about with him. He also hates the
RMAH. He dislikes a couple things and them makes the statement that
the game will be horrible... :?:

I seriously see you post in all kinds of forums!! haha

I have no life, and nothing better to do.

Also, my friends are interested in Diablo III, but not like I am, and they know nothing about the game it seems. I try to talk to them about it, and they're like, "uh wut?" They don't even know what the skill trees look like or about resources, etc... They need to get with the program and get excited about it like I am!

That's why I'm on these forums... to talk with people who actually know about the game. <.<

Well I added you as a friend because I'm the exact same way only
most of my friends didn't even play d2 and some are still stuck on d2.
So when it comes to someone to talk to about it, I'm on my own haha.

Silly friends! It's funny how people get so used to things and don't want them to change... except it needs to look prettier. I have known a few people who were the same way, saying it's going to suck because it's so different... Far as I can tell, most the changes are for the better anyway. They've changed their minds since, but if they were to think Diablo II is far better than Diablo III is going to be, then it won't bug me any if they just keep playing DII. It's still a great game, but I think Diablo III will be much more interesting.

I seriously see you post in all kinds of forums!! haha

But I agree if they want to stick with D2 or just stop playing Diablo,
then more power to them. However, when they cave (and they will) I'll
be there saying "I told you so!"

Does anyone else have a friend or friends who are "convinced"
Diablo 3 will be horrible just because they changed stuff and
didn't just remake D2 with better graphics.

Pretty much in my friends eyes they should of just revamped Diablo 2 graphics and
not change a thing. Where as I completely disagree and like what they have
    done with the game.

What our your guys thoughts about this?

posted a message on Let's Talk Expansions. =)
Well in Diablo 2 he was the last boss until the expansion so why not do that again?
or they could go with him surviving or escaping last second only to come back stronger
and with more minions. I'd like to see either one!

And as far as new classes go, what type of class would you guys expect or want?

Also, @Jaelzadeon I keep seeing you in all the forums I go to! lol

posted a message on Solutions to keep players challenged.
You could be underestimating how difficult Inferno will(most likely) be.
However, I do agree that would be a pretty cool feature in the game. It's
a challenge to test you and your friends skills, and then compare them to
the rest of the Diablo 3 community!

    Come on Blizzard :D
