Magic missiles: don't benefit from cold blood, so here I switch to ray of frost spammable, it has no cost with the rune and benefit from cold blooded.
Comet: You have blizzard, so comet and blizzard together i think it would take much arcane energy, so here I switch to frost hydra to grant a damage over time while you're dpsing/running.
Teleport: Fit your personal preference, I have Reversal rune.
Frost Nova. With chilling aura, enemies are slowed most of the time + spammable ray of frost. So my pick here is tu put a rune to finish off frozen targets (Bone Chill).
Ice Armor and Blizzard: Ice Armor really needs to have chilling aura for more kites, and in this build, I focused on devastating damage on frozen targets, so my choice for blizzard is Frozen Solid Rune. Blizzard + Ray of Frost will handle the mob control + Chilling Aura.
Passives:
Same has you
AP: more blizzards while hydras are out.
GW: more survival
CB: core frost passive
i have magic missile (charged blast) for a good single target spell
meteor (comet) for a nice aoe cold nuke and arcane spender
teleport (wormhole) so i can tele around when they are slowed/frozed
frost nova (cold snap) which reduces cooldown to 9sec so i can keep minions away and frozen
Ice armor (chilling aura) so that i can get life/armor and also to keep mobs frozen
and of course, billzzard (snowbound) which takes 25 arcane off (20 to cast) for more mob control
my passives are the most important part i believe
astral presence so that i have a larger arcane pool
galvanizing ward so that my ice armor lasts longer and heals me
and cold blooded so that all of the people i fight take 20% more dmg
let me know what you think.
possible flaws: too much ice and inferno/hell monsters immunity
White items are in the game probably as a clear developer message "if this white sword has better numbers than your legendary one, it's time to move on from that, pal". They're most likely there as a "baseline" reference of what's the absolute least you need to even be marginally effective at a given point in the game.
It's possible we'll have to change rare or magic items for better "white" items every now and then (if you're not getting lucky and you just spent all your gold on the auction house, so you can't get better stuff from vendors).
I'm sure a useless "white item" on Hell is better than a lot of mid-tier Nightmare legendary stuff, and I hope we keep seeing them.
They make me feel like "aw man, I got kinda lucky and got an item drop, but not lucky enough for it to be blue/yellow".
that kinda happened to me.... so i convinced my friend to buy the regular version (if i did) so i got a CE and a downloaded one... once i get my CE i'lll be selling my downloaded one to my friend

not dying once all the way to and through inferno -- same as softcore?
.......he can just buy good items from the AH like the rest of us softcore players? Also, the HC AH is identical to the SC AH.
