I've credited Wudijo in the past; I didn't know he popularized the LoN FoK build. I know who Wudijo is, I know he's a top DH player and I've said so in a past video, but keeping tabs on all the top players is not something I do. I'm sorry if you feel I slighted Wudijo, but it was out of ignorance.Quote from KhaosTheory»
It's pretty uncool of Rhykker not to credit Wudijo with the LON FoK build considering he popularized it.

He isn't criticizing Zero for posting videos. He's criticizing him for posting Rhykker videos.
Also, this video covers over 10 builds, and nearly all of them - or all of them - can be found in the build section of this site. I personally have at least 3-4 that I put into Dfans, and others have covered the other builds. -

Alternative theory: this is a Diablo fansite, there's no Diablo news from Blizzard, and there are fewer and fewer people making Diablo content, so Zero's choices are becoming increasingly limited in keeping fresh content on the homepage of this website. Because content, "no matter how dumb it is," is what keeps the community (and this website) alive when there is nothing else going on.Quote from Angry_Roleplayer»
Finally i got it. Zero(pS) is a Rhykker fan and a sub.
Every single Rhykker video is posted here, no matter how dumb it is.
FeelsBadMan
But sure. I'm sure "every single Rhykker video is posted here." Let's see... two Rhykker videos posted in September, two Rhykker videos posted in August, two Rhykker videos posted in July. That's six out of 27 Rhykker videos that were uploaded in that time - or an average of one Rhykker video posted to Dfans every two weeks, less than 25% of Rhykker videos. Yeah, Zero really shows favoritism here.
Also, this particular video was a good choice for Zero to share with the community. It's data. I can understand why you may not want to watch a speculation video, but if you consider this video something "dumb" and not worth watching, then I question why you are on a Diablo fansite at all. -

Well, I guess this is at least our chance of having a say in the matter. WIth such a huge patch on its way, if everyone says they want that timer removed and we have a reasonable and mature discussion about it showing the devs that would be a good change, I'm sure they can listen and rethink their stance.
Most players agree that if Seasons don't have at least a few exclusive items, there's no incentive to playing them. To be fair, the way they have it set up (with seasonal legendaries becoming non-seasonal afterwards) and a reduced season duration, I can't think of a better way of pleasing both sides. I'd be thankful they aren't truly exclusive and only found on seasons during its duration.
I agree with Zero; I don't mind waiting a couple months for a season to end before getting access to certain items. It would be bad if you could *only* get these items during a season - wasn't that the case in D2? Some items were always ladder-only?

Note on that video before the inevitable comments: yes, Physical is very powerful and possibly "the best." The discussion isn't about physical, though, it's addressing the Cold vs. Fire debate. Or you can even consider it a Cluster Arrow vs. Multishot debate. Physical wins for the same reasons as Cold, basically.

Crimson would be a stepping stone, yes, since you can craft it. Sorry for not making that more clear. You ideally want 3 sets: Sunwuko, Inna, Aughild, in that order. Depending on what pieces you do or do not find, you can sub in Crimson temporarily (ie same if you haven't gotten the boots yet). In Season 2 though, you'll want Gungdo Gear on bracers, meaning you'll have to drop to 2 sets, if I'm not mistaken: Sunwuko and Inna.Ok, thank you for clearing that up.
Around 6:24 you start talking about Captain Crimsons set, which is belt, pants and boots. You can't replace the boots because Crudest Boots are an absolute must, but how can you replace Inna's with Captain Crimsons pieces and still retain the 4 piece Inna's bonus? Is Captain Crimsons just a stepping stone until you're able to find Inna's?
I think you're throwing in way too many sets than you have room for and not explaining why.
I know you NEED Sunwuko's, for the damage buff/decoy explosion. You NEED Inna's to make Sweeping Wind's cost manageable and then the 4 Mantras without having to actually use a Mantra which will make the Unity Passive useful. Auglid's is useful for survivability and damage, and I can see how you can fit in all 3 of those sets. Then you throw in a 4th set, but I don't see you running it while running the other 3 sets, Crudest Boots, and the Incense Torch.
Another question: About the Numpad/Numlock trick. I know Blizzard has a very fickle stance on people doing things to make their gaming lives easier. Since I'm not manually inputting the command to press numpad 7 every second, and the keyboard is essentially doing that for me, can my account get banned for using this trick?
I've read forum posts about a question I had in regards to using the macro software that came with my Razer Naga, and what I found out, is if I have to question its usage, there's a good chance it's not allowed by the Blizzard ToS.
Re. the numpad trick: I understand where you're coming from. However, this is done without using any form of external 3rd party program. For all we know, Blizz intended for this to happen. It's not doing anything a human couldn't otherwise do - ie press a key every second - and while 3rd party macro software is against Blizzard ToS, I'm not sure I've ever heard of anyone even getting banned for using a macro keyboard. I've never used any 3rd party macros, but I use this, and I'd be surprised if anyone gets banned for it. And if someone DOES get banned for this - ie, for pressing a combination of keys in-game that anyone with a numpad is able to do - I'm prepared to raise all hell. -

The passive is equipped just to show what passive you ideally want equipped with the BiS gear for the build. With the Inna's set bonus, you'll benefit from Unity. Without Inna's, then Momentum or Determination are good interim passives.I can't edit my own post to add this: Yes, the Unity passive buff is "tremendous," if you are in fact benefiting from the buff, but you need at least 1 Mantra that effects all your allies/follower/pets for it to even work.
What passive are you using since you're obviously not benefiting from Unity? Or is there a current bug that allows you to benefit from Unity without using any Mantras? - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

EDIT: I removed my link to the video, since I read that Diablofans doesn't want the details of the exploit posted here. Muhbad.

Oh, and you also get gems and junk... I sincerely hope Blizzard doesn't nerf-bat this. I don't think they will, since what was previously so broken about them was the spawn location near waypoints.

Oh, it also has a "release date rumor tester," heh. Be sure to run any new rumors by it before you jump on the bandwagon.

They were meticulous about not giving out duplicate keys, so while human error still is possible, this may be an issue on Blizzard's end. Also, it didn't help that many people were messaging Game Front claiming their key was a dupe, even though GF didn't send them a key to start out with.
0
They were looking for a secure and easy method of delivering the keys. Twitter Direct Messages are secure and easy -- much more so than dealing with email addresses. Having 500+ people create Twitter accounts just to fav the website won't help Game Front in the long run, but it's a necessary step to send a Direct Message.
In the past, Twitter apparently kept more accurate track of retweets and when they were posted; Game Front didn't realize things had changed, and has learned from the experience.
0
Twitter was dropping retweets. Once the keys were sent out, there was nothing that could be fixed -- Game Front couldn't ask people to return the keys they won, even if "Twitter moderators" would have made the dropped retweets re-appear.

If you retweeted early and didn't get a key, Game Front apologizes -- there's no grand conspiracy, no intentional lies. Twitter messed up bad -- it was dropping retweets and not putting retweets in the correct order. Game Front did its best to work around Twitter's screw-up, but unfortunately some people who should have gotten keys didn't. I have personal friends who didn't get a key, and they retweeted after 5 minutes.
In the future, Game Front won't be using Twitter for these giveaways.
In total, 500 keys were given out. Sorry to those who didn't get keys, and congrats to those who did.

You can read the interview excerpt here, but it basically says that you can mod the crap out of D3 if it weren't for the requirement to connect to b.net.
Now, how long before a singleplayer mod paves the way for awesome Diablo 3 mods?
