It is important to roar at your computer when something climactic happens in game. Say, for example, you finish clearing fifty plus demons and your life and resources are low, but you have succeeded; at this point a loud battle cry is necessary to demonstrate that through the difficult trial you prevailed and are prepared to combat whatever comes your way. Promptly use this explanation to the people near you who ask about your roar.

Last Friday I was confident we would see a date this week, given we are now past half way I'm going to go ahead and say its more likely to be next week if not further.

I was about in the same shoes but its definitely not this week which makes me think any of my hopeful "next week" hypothesizes are quite foolish. It will come and we will be glad, but man, its like a carrot on a stick; we are so close and we can run as hard and fast as we want, it won't come any faster.

I know exactly what you mean. The live streams, the updates, the forums and even just playing through Diablo 2. We will not be satiated; a release date would please, it would please much, but for now we must sit idly and watch streams and hope that we receive a beta key randomly. Be strong, we are here for you.

This comparison is very interesting, great photos there on Diablo 1 and 2. And I am very excited about that returning hole to hell in the Diablo 3 Tristram, whether it means anything is not yet clear, but I am glad they threw it in.

It could be today you guys! In fact I think it well be! Just saying.

Been thinking the same, but didn't dare say it out loud for fear that it might not happen then. :D

Exactly where my mind is. I know I am getting up the hopes, but man, why taunt us with that 9 if it is not today! :P

I have read from the EU forums that the release date is potentially May 16th. They suggest that the recently announced Portrait of an Artist contest is actually a ploy to provide us with some numbers, mainly the 5mb max and the 1600x1200 resolution. These limits seem somewhat unnecessary considering current technology allows for a much larger variety. But what is even more indicative is that Blizzard has not announced a start or end date or any prizes. But its only a hunch and I haven't read about it at all on any US forums yet.

    EDIT: Portrait of a Champion*

haha i love conspiracy theories :D blizzard cant post any numbers without ppl deciphering some code XD

After that WoW Cataclysm 12.7% every number I see becomes a constant stream in my head figuring its correlation with a release. But I did not come up with this one, but it definitely seems realistic. It is far more fun than it is accurate. :P

I don't get why they didn't leave old skill UI as it is and just change runestones into skill runes? They pretty much only changed the graphics of the runes nad for that they completely revamped whole UI..

This idea is one that I really like and thought about the moment I saw the new ui. The old one was beautiful, the new one is clunky. Yes we will get used to it and learn to deal with it, but it had so much more potential, now it just seems like a chore. And I loved those colors, why would they get rid of the colors?!? :(

Are you really into buying CE? I think that most of them are nothing special. Some extra items which will just gather dust after a while. It's like buying CD. You look at booklet and other stuff and in the and all that really matters is the music. :)

I am definitely purchasing the CE (pre-ordered in October.) I am also a person who enjoys purchasing the actual CD and books. I know it is silly but I feel like these items are like trophies, I enjoy them then put them up on display so I can enjoy them later, prompt me to think about it or others to ask about it. Its aesthetic and demonstrative of something I enjoy, like putting a poster up. I know its silly and at the end of the day is just extra money spent towards Blizzard, but I genuinely enjoy it and will be glad in ten years that I spent that extra $40 to have something that other people don't have. And I know again how silly that sounds, but we all have our things.
Well said. I agree that we all have our things. Now I'm still looking for a job and my wish list is pretty big this year: "Diablo 3", "Guild Wars 2" and "Tomb Raider". Oh, and I almost forgot about the deluxe edition of Madonna's new album "MDNA". My funds are rather limited so I have to choose and buying CE means that I will have to remove something from my list and I don't want to do that. And I completely understand your approach towards tangible things. I know that we are able now to buy MP3s and digital games, but there is nothing better than keeping all your favorite games and CDs on the shelf. Looking at my collection always makes me proud and I know that all those things were really worth the money I spent on them. :olddiablo:

"D3" CE makes good impression on me, but I will stick to the standard edition. :)

Then I definitely see where you are coming from, I am definitely a huge Blizzard fan and my game purchases are few so branching out for a game like this becomes a no brainer. :)

posted a message on I hate to say this,
After reading Blizzard's explanation behind the change I am happy and at worst merely content with the new changes, although I do believe the ui needs a definite overhall. I was very excited about the colors and the boxes, but they just put this big old screen over the character and environment; it is an eye-sore. But all of this and more has been said, I am posting regarding the tonality and expression of the OP. I find it very amusing and enjoyable to read his attitude towards it. Whether or not he "called it" is irrelevant. He remains hysterical.

*This post is not sarcasm or designed to be insulting. It is a genuine compliment towards the original poster.
