A buff is a buff, sounds cool to me. Does the buff get averaged if you are in a group? Does it apply directly to you and now one else?
I'm pretty sure just looking at logic here that the buff will be awarded to all players who are close enough to get experience and/or drops from that certain unique to also get this increased gold and magic find. It'd be silly if only one player in a party got it or whoever got the killing blow. If this was the case then it'd be the complete opposite of what the developing team has been trying to achieve so far with this game
And no I don't think it gets averaged. My guess is that it's as viable and rewarding whether you're playing solo or in a 4 player group! (Not really sure about this one though, perhaps you'll get some bonus or increased effectiveness for playing solo)?
Edit: I know you don't really get experience at level 60 but that example was just a way of explaining that you most likely have to be around when the unique or rare monster(s) is/are killed.
what I was thinking was if two 60's play with two 59's and kill a rare pack. the 60's would get the NV buff... if it were average everyone would get a percentage of the buff. If that were the case the incentive still exists for killing mob packs then bosses... I don't think it will be averaged either but would love a clarification. -

Feb 17, 2012underarock posted a message on Beta Auction House Changes IncomingI think its going to be really interesting to see how the beta resolves real reserve currencies with Beta Bucks. in some ways what they are doing is turning their Gold into a true global fiat currency... people might focus a lot on the rmah on release but it might be an interesting tactic to amass gold on launch and wait for the whole thing to stabilize.Posted in: News

the straightforward approach to profiting off of this would be to sell any items of decent quality immediately on the RMAH on release day.
Would a backwards approach being to sell everything for astronomical prices from the beginning on the GAH and save that currency for the point when the RMAH to GAH ratio favors gold?
Interesting notes on the GAH, and I expect new expansions to start this process all over again starting from infinity...
I also have no idea what this means "Napkin model tells me MV is more or less determined by the gold drop rate and is fixed". is there a wikipedia link that you could reference to make light of the jargon you use.
Thanks for the less heard insight on the game too!

- please de-mystify the game.
- could you replace the website with the D3 game client?
- how do i control all the things you have limited my control over?
Thanks to the developers for dealing with us crazy people - i want to know these things and yet I also know the irony of what I am asking for.

I have some AKG - 701's, they are on the pricier end though the resolution is freakishly accurate. Not as good as those senn's i read about on here but hey, they are half the price of those. I equivocate this to high resolution screens, that seems like a worthy investment to most people and the importance of sound is tantamount to visual information.
For people wanting crazy sound quality for a cheap price - here you go http://www.headphone.com/headphones/grado-sr-60i.php

be warned if you own a mac pro this mic will not work. Macs have line level inputs and the zalman mic is a mic level signal. so unless you have a pre-amp for it its not going to produce any signal on a mac input line.
I tried to rig this exact thing myself to no avail. Imacs and macbooks have mics built in... though mac pros and mac minis do not.
I agree with you on the quality of gaming headphones... most are cheap hardware with some software enhancements and A LOT of marketing to make them seem like they are going to turn you into a better player. don't buy the hype!
best option mics for mac are Blue brand.
