Well I havent played the beta but they do not have a weapon swap in the game. The only way to swap weapons is to go into the inventory and swap them yourself. I wont argure for or against this as they have said that it will not be making it into the game.
Yes your right Diablo as we know it will end with D3.Not becose its going to be bad but becose Blizzard has stated that this will be the last Diablo game of this type. I am not going to go back and watch all the Blizzcon vids but I remember that they stated in 1 of the panel vids(2010 I think) that they are going to end this current Diablo style game.
They did say however that it would not be the end of the story for Diablo and this makes me think MMO in the future for the Diablo name. And no its not the Titan project they are working on now as its a all new IP.
Think about this for a sec this is very smart for Blizzard to make this move as you cannot cashout your B.net balance. Now Blizzard has many things in the Blizzard store for sale cloths, games and such. So simply by having this system in place allows them to basicly force you to spend your B.net balance in the Blizzard store.
You could buy the D3 expantions if you like or pay for your WoW time if you play WoW. Maybe a nice new D3 hat or something. I will be doing this for some of the stuff I like in the Blizzard store!
I remember my son, myself and a pub was running around playing D2 and went to kill Duriel. When we did kill him he dropped 5 TP scrolls and nothing else I was simply stunned and we all just tood there for a couple min in total amazment. Talking about what had just happened lol.
1st and formost I want to play the beta becose I simply love Diablo games its the only IP I play from Blizzard.( played D2 for about 5-6 years)
2nd I would be a player that would try and give some good feedback to Blizzard as I would like this game to be great when it is launched. There are a lot of great testers and feedback now but more never hurts and I am sure there are alot of ppl that simply play the beta for a short period and just stop without giving any feedback what so ever.
I think Blizzard is headed in a good direction with D3, they have changed alot of things for the better. So far there are few things that I dont like about it and they are all things that have been taken out after they let us see them. IE Mystic and the death animations.
still crossing my fingers and checking my B.net account daily for that shiny beta key!
