I always thought it was strange for Baal to be the one able to disguise himself... he's the lord of DESTRUCTION. Subterfuge doesn't really fall within that domain.

I'd expect that most of Mephisto (Lord of Lies) yet Mephisto seems to be the most obvious and undisguised giant "kill me" blob of the entire trio.

Diablo is whom you would suspect to be the 2nd most likely to engage in subterfuge which he did admirably by horrifically undermining Leoric's royal family and the hero that avenged it.

In particular page 16-17... does anyone know why in CAIN'S journal it's showing the opening to Diablo 2? The opening actually takes place at the end of the series and then shows a flashback of the wanderer... but 16-17 doesn't address anything that Cain knows about. Cain doesn't even know about Marius at that point in his journal, some people saw a Wanderer but pretty much ignored Marius so Cain wouldn't have been told about him. That's not until later pages.

Another thing is page 24-25. It describes Diablo being 'driven back' into hell. That isn't consistant with what we saw in the animation, since Diablo and Baal went into hell voluntarily while Mephisto stayed behind to watch things. Diablo wasn't there when the heroes got there, he wasn't 'fleeing' or 'retreating' or whatever. I'm presuming they were going back to take hell away from Azmodan and Belial, presumably because Andariel and Duriel had fled from those two and figured if they could help the three brothers retake it they'd get their stuff back.

Plus, it would help them collect forces to invade Ararat.

That's cool that you gave them the domain and went to diablofans. To be honest, I didn't even notice the change until you mention it.

Me and my brother have huge hopes for this new game, I hope it'll be awesome. They need to bring back capes and cloaks, and have them a separate category from tighter armours so you can wear them overtop.

Well they just came out with Star2 so Diablo's all that's left, unless it's going to be a lost vikings MMO.

These need to be brought back. They were cool. They had promised to have them in D2, but failed.

Basically, you should be able to wear it as a separate class of armor. Cloaks and capes would fit right over actual suits of body armor, and also over helmets. Generally they should add little AR, but maybe things related to resistance. Resist cold makes sense to me, since it would insulate you. The same with stuff like quilted armor, which I don't think is in D2 armor. Whereas obviously leather and moreso metal would not insulate you too well, and should even lower your lightning resist.

Succubi. They made that game.

This game was scarier than D2 ever was. Those horned beasts charging out of the darkness, those yellow things that stole your life permanently, those shrines that could do anything, shit.

I am very upset about their numerical reductions.

I want a mass army. Hopefully Diablo 3 will provide.

It looks like a pretty cool game, the graphics quality made me think they were doing in in a WoW sort of style but those are the cutscenes obviously. Still the graphics loo pretty awesome. Hopefully this will surpass War3 just as Starcraft surpassed War2.

I used to be big into a summoning necromancer, where you'd try to get max minions on screen, but since they upgraded skels (but downgraded their number) I've somewhat soured on D2.

I wish you could get 20+ ravens but they max at 5 too with druid...

I played D, D2, D2:LoD and they were great. I'm really looking forward to D3 and hopefully capes, cloaks, guilds and horses.
