No, there is no more e3. There is the game developer's conference which is a very different thing.

(Washington, DC) - October 13, 2006 - The new E3 Media and Business Summit will be held July 11-13, 2007, in Santa Monica, California, and will combine the best elements of the former trade show into a business event celebrating the video game industry's present and future, the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) announced today.
The centerpiece of the invitation-only, three-day event will be the opportunity for both ESA members and non-members to stage major press events, and to have intimate meetings in premier hotel suites and meeting rooms with media, retailers, developer partners, and other audiences. In addition, the nearby Barker Hangar will be converted into a software showcase where attendees will be able to casually test drive the featured video games planned for the coming holiday season and beyond.
nope still there just not a ginormous expedition for everyone to go to. but you can go misinterpret wikipidia more if you want
really???? cos last i checked it is just invite only. and that does not not mean it will not happen it just goes on in a smaller scale with the same people showing their demo's. not to mention now there is no need for them to pay large amounts of money on over the top stands actors special effects etc its a conference for developers critics and the higher ups from large corporations that distribute video games for profit (no longer just any store manager and any employee with a nametag) and that is all.
I dunno about you guys, but I don't think Blizzard is stupid enough to stop a series like Diablo.

to think that blizzard would not put D3 out is a very foolish thought indeed,
and to think after the success they have had with WoW that it will not be MMO with so much story content that people play it for years on end with a fee month to month and eventually an expansion to get the people who played it a while and left to come back would be foolish, they will put it out, they will also put out another starcraft game eventually to cos lets face it
warcraft, diablo, starcraft and rock and roll racing are the only memorable titles (if you say vikings i hope you get ran over by a large barrel donkey kong style) give time for WoW to fade into the back round and people to move away from it onto better newer games and they will start the hype of D3.
better yet wait for them to buy this domain, i only hope the admins tell everyone that they sold it

one the release would be out of Christmas season for the entire world meaning that the Christmas hype would not nearly be enough for every kid who doesn't really care about the game to want it just because everyone else has it.
two no hype from everyone at e3 saying how super cool it was and how pumped they were for it
three no announcement saying how its going to be a MMO yet as blizzard would be INCREDIBLY foolish to put the game out after D1 and D2 dominated bnet with as many users in a free service as it did and still has a decent amount of people who play.
nice though and all but the most they would do is put out an announcement its in the making or a trailer and a release date set for 3 or 4 years from then as they will ride WoW as long as possible and wont waste a golden opportunity to put out another MMO that will have the same dominance as WoW does
