posted a message on Is season ending soon?

Seasons are meant to now last for 3 months, so the season shouldn't theoretically end till about halfway through April. Although Blizzard should give us a 2 weeks notice post when it comes nearer.

Also Blizzard doesn't want to release patches (except for some bugs and system improvements) during the middle of a season after what happened to the leadeboards in season 1.

posted a message on WOW vs Diablo3 Did WOW Ruin our Diablo 3 experience?
I played Diablo 2 for quite a while before playing WoW. As much as i loved diablo 2, and I indeed still very much do, WoW drew me in. I have played it since the release of Burning crusade and I still play it now. Diablo 2 I have always gone back to every so often, normally after a ladder reset or just plain boredem. I cant state what it will be like, but from experience of the beta diablo 3 is going to draw me in to play much more then wow, even if it is because of the something new aspect of it.
Really there isnt much comparrison between the two, besides gear collection and monster pewpewing, they both have their own play styles and content. The only thing that WoW may have done to diablo 3 is raise the majorities expectations of stuff from blizzard.

posted a message on Question on Monster Types
Hmmm, from what i have been seeing there blue and yellow are pretty much the same sort of line as diablo 2, and the new case of super uniques is that they are the same, although there spawn is now completely random. I suppose this was done in support to make the game more random each time you level a class perhaps.

posted a message on Question on Monster Types
Not sure if this has been posted before but i thought i should ask.

    In diablo 2 we had,
    White names - normal monsters
Blue names - Champions, ghostly etc
    Yellow Names - Unique Monsters
Gold Names - Super Unique monsters

So am I Correct in assuming for diablo 3

    White - Normal
Blue - Champion type (although not shown as such)
Yellow - Unique same as Diablo 2
    Purple - Super Unique

Just wondering because I have run into a few purple named monsters but not in every game like diablo 2, so it is safe to assume that the only super uniques to spawn in every game now is ones directly related to quests?

p.s feel free to call me a noob about this I dont mind :) lol

posted a message on Patch 13 Demon Hunter - still under powered?
First character i tried out was a DH so i cant speak for everything, bu the progression of it was quite nice there was nothing i had trouble with, i would assume that if DH in underpowered the leveling experience for the other classes must be quite quick and boring

Im not sure how difference in items between HC and SC would be of much significance though since the two cant really show off to each other

posted a message on a scary thought about achievements
I too will be an achievement whore when this game is released, simply because thats how i spend all my time on warcraft, and acheivements are just natural thing for me to do now :). To be honest, the only annocement i am holding out for is what achievements will be in game. It will be like when WoW achievements were first released, I spent all my time just planning on how to get em all :)

    Quote from Shuggster

I demand an achievement called 'Feeding Diablo', you get it for feeding him a level 60 HC character.

posted a message on Please: Hardcore Without Normal Playthrough3
What is so bad about actually taking the easy way through to learn the game, learn monster affixes, learn more about the character you like, and in light of recent changes, learn some rune skills that could help in certain situations. I myself love hardcore but I not someone who would want to jump into it right away. My plan is to take my first char through to inferno before taking a step into hardcore to really challenge myself, but thats just me, being a "casual" and all

posted a message on Surviving D3 Hardcore: What did we learn from D2?
    Quote from Ginobli

Rakanishu should be an end of act boss - This little jerk has killed more of my HC characters than anyone/thing else. His lightning enchant, would hurt you at the start of each difficulty due to the different resist levels.
That bleedin lightning enhanced on well pretty much anything in act 1 nightmare or hell used to be death for me, fire and cold i could avoid by running away... but lightning argh
    Quote from atumre

What i learned from Diablo 2 Hardcore was " Do not ever, under any circumstance trust strangers "
That has got to be one on the most truthful words i have seen spoken here. There used to be a lot of people going around who simply tried to get other HC characters killed simply for loot, or maybe they just always came after me.

But on the other side i found the best thing in my case was just to go slow and know when I reached brick walls (I almost never had decent gear on any character :( )
Im thinking a way to go in D3 is to play through the game a bit in softcore to at least work out how nightmare/hell/inferno will go before i try to step foot into hardcore this time around :)
