    I remember the act 2 wall on inferno, and only demon hunters or FA wizzards have acess to further acts, having huge gold/item advantage by farming blues at act 4 and selling them at the AH;

    I remember when barbs can't survive without a sword and board build with revenge and frenzy sidearm;

    I remember that to kill grom on infeno, you have to kite him to every spot of the room, until each of them be covered by his shit;

    I remember about mantra of healing and it's OP BoI rune.

    I remember when inferno belial second phase, if don't kill him fast enough, all area was surrounded by his green explosives and you're pretty much dead (some pro players could kill him, even with this enrage).

    I remember when people and the devs said "this game is hard!"

    I remember at launch day, 1/4 of the people could enter the game and the rest were trying to login in every minute 3~4 hours straight.

    After I geared my barb and easily do mp10 runs without spend billions of gold (I have nearly 50kk now and 50kk on gear on him), I leveled WD and Arcanist, put some nice gear and having fun trying builds around, nothing like paragon 100 or legendary grind. Just casting some spells and stuff.

    I'm glad I can swap skills any time, or it gets boring as hell to play any of my characters.

    Hex HAVE TO be banned, I don't know about others, but hex CC for 8s and don't break on damage. Also it always refresh after the effect expires, NO DR, the fetish lasts until the CD is refreshed, that's why is absurd.

    Another thing to take in consideration is that diablo 3 have absurd RNG in spells, so a chain in stuns of frenzy (smite) + other warriors stuns to stun locked shouldn't be touched. I mean, it's not because of that that you have to ban a spell for example.

    You can cap weapon dps and %crit damage if you like. Keep in mind that there are some interesting builds like hp regen barbs + UP + Warcry with hp regen, and kite for this kind of builds is essencial, so cap this stats may have a downside.

    I think they will probably "fix" it in a major patch/expansion, because they're messing with people's gear and will result in a devaluation of it. Wyatt said on reddit that they don't fixed monks OWE because of this too. They can't just hotfix this you know.
    In short it will not make in 1.0.7

    Anyways nice ideas, but you can't even sum up to someone who asks about it, makes me think you just copy and paste it from someone else, no offense.

    Quote from incy1987

    pvp is hard to implement cause of the huge imbalance between dps. and survivability.

    noone is gonna survive 1 sec against a 300k dps demon hunter with hungering arrow.

    i'm sry if i'm gonna going to refer to diablo 2 again, but the numbers were way closer to eachother. wich makes balancing a little easier.

    the most drastic option i would see fit is to change absolutly everything, how hp is calculated, how damage is calculated, everything...

    they made it hard for themself. in d3 items don't give small upgrades. they give worldchanging upgrades. and thats the entire problem.
    I concur with everything you said. That's why itemization is flawed, but I'm not getting into that subject again.

    Blizzard says Team Deathmatch doesn't work because it gets old fast. For the sake of argument, let's assume that's true.

    What ideas do you have for PvP that would replace this system?

    Note: This is not a thread to argue about the news from yesterday - this thread is about solutions.

    Just a note: What's a fun pvp? Serious people, pvp is pvp. Duel? great. TDM? great. Diablo 2 pvp style? great.

    There's no solution bro. What the hell do you expect to be fun in pvp? it's totally subjective. People want to kill others, show it's superiority, be challenged, pvp people will find it fun whatever they put into this game.

    For me duels and TDM is a small step. what's wrong with their implementation? What "blizzard style" phylosophy is that, that makes the community wait for so long for nothing? I'm not talking about 7 months, I'm talking about years and years of development that was screwed by some retarded phylosophy.

    There's nothing wrong bro, there's nothing boring. Let this community play this shit pvp already. Battlegrounds? capture the flag? king of the hill? who cares, I want a quality pvp (NO ONESHOT FEST), the format(STYLE OF PVP) can be any.

    I could certainly get behind more +skills affixes with more potent and desirable effects!

    I use a belt with +6% CC on Revenge, and I do in fact use Revenge in part because of this, more items like this with more potent effects would certainly encourage more "off the wall" skill combinations, much like in D2.

    I concur. I have a demon hunter friend that have a natalya chest with evasive fire damage bonus (a high one) and started using evasive fire because of that, instead of the cookie cutter hungering arrow. I just don't use the rend cost reduction on my belt because I have a bunch of crit hit that go wasted on dot's because they can't crit.

    But let's face it, what's flawed is a spirit barrage bonus on a manticore.

    posted a message on Itemization Discussion - State of Diablo 3 part 3
    I think blizzard is lost about what they really want for itemization.

    1) First philosophy: blizzard want a character with blue rare and legendary at the same time. It worked at the beginning, a wizzard of method killed diablo inferno with a blue weapon mixed with rares. But then people complained "why a blue is better than a rare and legendary, etc" and make blizzard think again.

    2) Second philosophy: "We agree legendaries are bad", buffed and happened what I'm afraid of: rares are nearly useless, and everybody looking the same gear, it feels like: if you don't drop this you're garbage. Legendaries have some fixed 50%+ god affixes, and comes to my question: is this good or bad? don't this devaluate rares too much? how many runs I see players leaving rares on the ground and just getting legendaries now?

    3) Third philosophy: "MP and Paragon will give the game more end game". I agree with that, but we don't have ladder and the game don't even have a year. My point is: don't this devalue MF and GF too much as a long term? I mean it's another affix that sooner or later will be useless, and it was meant as an affix that worth your choice at cost of dps.

    In short: Blizzard is confused about it's own philosophy, there are so many OP affixes that even if they buff life on kill or thorns it's still going to be useless, because characters reached a level of nearly perfection I'd say. Probably the only fix is some kind of nerf/adjustment on the trifecta, resist all etc.

    Oh before I forget, they have to improve what they have now, the system right now, fixing some numbers, etc. Putting D2 idea into D3 it's nearly impossible. Is the same thing as saying: Guys we failed, we should've started that way from the start.

    Quote from Bagstone

    1. Jay Wilson decided "okay, let's announce that there will be a PvP blog post soon". What does that mean? Firstly, he seems to be interested in PvP as well, otherwise he wouldn't tweet about it. Secondly, he decides to throw pieces of information out there; like "hey, we're still alive". Anyone ever played an EA game? It feels like they don't exist. They're some monkeys in a submerged submarine, randomly putting in some lines of code, and once a year they surface to release another crappy game. Information? Patches? Upgrades? Nice games with improvements? They never heard of that. Thirdly, have you ever thought that Jay Wilson put this tweet out to create some pressure on the PvP development and design team? He announced an update, and a week later had to say it got postponed because it's not done yet. He didn't say "hey, I'll implement PvP tomorrow" followed by "damn, I didn't get it done because I was lazy" - the TEAM told him to tweet that it got postponed. Don't bitch about Jay Wison - bitch about the team which is slacking off! Besides, I don't think they're lazy at all, they're just making sure that whatever gets released is both finished and balanced, and not in beta status.

    Hey bro I know about everything you're talking about, but ignorance/lazy think of people (including my trolling on Jay's resign - that some people didn't understand that was a troll comment) is to point fingers to who's on focus (Jay), it's not something that only happens with D3, every place is like that. Look at WOW, everyone says pvp sucks etc, and blames Greg Street, but guess who is in charge of pvp team? Tom Chilton.
    Example: If your football team sucks, you're gonna blame the coach right? No one cares why your team is losing but why they aren't winning. But hey, the administrators of your team is not paying the football players, and the coach is always on focus giving press conference to it's fans, so you blame it.
    What I'm trying to say is, people blame who is in focus, incorrectly, I can see that, but that how things works, and I'm going to say this again: I appreciate overneathe info about who is in charge of in diablo 3 development to try to mitigate this type of situation.

    Quote from Bagstone

    2. This must be a joke. In D2 everyone was like "uniques are useless, you can do funny stuff with them, but in the end a nice rare is always better". Then they buffed uniques and in particular created some awesome runewords, and everyone goes "rares are useless, everyone just wants Enigma, Hoto, ...". D3 gets released, rares are superb, legendaries and sets kinda useless... everyone complains again. Legendaries and sets gets buffed, everyone runs around in brown and green items (except for some slots like gloves but people don't seem to stick to the truth when complaining) and now everyone's complaining that rares are useless.

    About aspect of the drop, everything falls on the shoulder of itemization, everything is so undimensional and tied to the primary stats that makes 1 affix to make a rare thrash. I don't want easy farm, I want a piece of gear make me think if it's worth change my build instead of just min max my stats (the case of D3). Just see the image, it's not that difficult to understand.
    Now everyone prays for a legendary to drop because it have 50% or more of it's affixes acurrate and less chance to be garbage, Sagathiest explains this well. Also point a fact in other to solve it is not complain.

    Quote from Bagstone

    What's next? Let me guess. Actually, you could bet a fortune on what's happening next: Blizzard revives crafting by introducing level 63 rares for crafting and maybe even buffs some of the stats. Market gets flooded with rares. Everyone complains again about BiS legendaries being useless.

    First: Blizzard said that crafting is supposed to help people to get that piece of gear that you don't have and help progression through acts and levels (nightmare/hell/inferno). Thing is, we have GAH an RMAH that sells pretty decent items with pathetic gold cost for that purpose (progression through acts and levels), so it's a fail design and EVERYONE knows that. Do you think nothing have to be done? it's ok to just leave this way? it's an issue and this Topic is about discussion about the format of the game, if you just put random thoughts of "people complain again" does not help.

    Quote from Bagstone

    And about the low droprate. Some of you played 1000+ hours. Anyone ever played Torchlight? If you play Torchlight for that much time, you have seen every single f***ing BiS item a 100 times. The amount of good drops is so overwhelming that it's just boring. When a 62 mace drops, I bet that everyone, including a p100 1000h+ player, gets at least a bit excited. This feeling is something that you cannot possibly get after playing Torchlight (or in fact, many other games) for that long.

    Damnit... 1000 hours of fun and people still complain, I don't get it. Seriously.

    It doesn't matter how many hours we spent on the game. Aren't this a "diablofans" forum? We want to HELP this game to get better and better, some just like to troll everytime and says everything sucks.

    Quote from overneathe

    She was mainly an enchanter and let's face it. Everyone would always and only enchant CC, CH, IAS and sockets. It's just a gold sink that adds no metagame.

    Is that what you really think? what about jewelcraft? EVERYONE just socket your primary stats or vit if you wish more hp. it's a gold sink that adds no metagame too. See the flaw? why itemization is bad? at least an enchanter would add a flavor to that rare you droped that the only thing that missed on it was a IAS, and you could make it "perfect".

    Quote from overneathe

    And the Jewelcrafter does his job flawlessly - he creates gems. Currently they're pretty stable.

    explained above what stable is.

    Quote from overneathe

    She did originally also made scrolls, which got removed. She added charms, which sadly also got removed (here's hoping for the expansion). And finally she made potions (meh?) and "spell runes", which got scraped and reworked into skill runes.

    So she just kinda got useless really. Hopefully they invent something more interesting for her later on in the game's life. She already has spots for her in the different cities.

    At least, overneathe, is something that you wish to farm, even if it was potion that increases MF/GF, etc, is an incentive to farm faster, more efficient, I don't know.

    OK I think some of you guys take things to seriously, just going to say a few things.

    1 - When I/we say things like "jay wilson is bad, etc" is to express our indignation with the curently state of the game. It doesn't matter if he is the head chef or not (he's always in focus), and of course it's sound like ignorant, but the main point is that people don't accept certain designs of the game and some of them, like me, are trying to show him/blizzard ways to improve their game, just that. I think it's the same as everyone rages to Ghostcrawler about wow design. Obs: Also thanks for the information.

    2 - I like D3 so much that even after some quits, I still play (only when my friends go online) nowadays. But really, it's so sad that many many many runs just results in hundreds and hundreds of rares right to the merchant, and now that they over buffed legendarys, rares (if not nearly perfect) are now more useless. Of course they have to buff legendaries, but with actual itemization you already know what to expect.

    I think it's all about itemization, once "it's fixed" the game will become much better.
    OP if you could make a video just discussing about it, You'll need follow some steps:
    - Show D3 actual problem;
    - Show why D2 itemization was so much sucessful compared to D3;
    - Possible solution to make it as good as D2, but without having to revamp all game.

    Here explains what's wrong with itemization in D3, and I hope you could make a video focused about it. http://imageshack.us/a/img689/8853/infographic.jpg#1

    Some notes about itemization:
    - if a WEAPON don't have primary stat, crit damage, socket, higher dps, LS and sometimes vit, %damage, it's nearly useless;
    - If an AMULET lacks damage, crit damage, crit hit, primary stat and sometimes vit and loh it's nearly useless;
    - If a HELM lacks socket, primary stats, all resist, and crit hit and sometimes % life and vit it's nearly useless;
    - If a RING lack crit hit, crit dmg, primary, and sometimes atak speed and vit it's nearly useless;
    - and goes on...

    There are so OVERPOWERED STATS that's ruin the rest of them. It's because weapon dps is so bad designed? crit damage scales too much? crit hit is no longer a chance but nearly 100% uptime? Resist all downrate armor+single resist? I don't know, seriously...

    But look to this affixes:
    life on kill : useless, we have health globes most of the time on runs, also really bad in coop.
    thorns: Damage is so high and monster hp is so large that thorns should scale with some % of your damage or whatever
    increase damage of a random class ability here: it's nice, but if a WD skill roll on a bow, it's just another afixx that makes 99% of my rares to the merchant
    indestructable: for high end characters is just an affix to compete with a possible quinfecta.
    chill on hit + slow on hit: why both?
    Bleed chance: don't scale with your damage, why I want 11k damage over 5sec on a 1kk hp monster?
    health and gold pick up: why not a 6yard baseline to fix some gold drops on bugged areas?
    and so on...

    any item you drop has a chance to drop 1 of this bad affixes, 1 of them could ruin everything. why don't eliminate this thrash already or revamp some obvious one? I don't want a rare to be thrash 99% of the time and i don't want a godly item to drop all the time either, but seriously itemization now is bad, and that's a fact.

    PS: english is not my first language, so forgive my bad grammar.

    Ty, nice video OP.
