posted a message on RNG in D3 is not true random
    Quote from gamerky

This is from my own observation with 200+ hrs of farming in Inferno act 2 and data read from this forum.
It seems that of all the rare drops we get for iLvl61 to iLvl63, only a small number of the items are usable in inferno. I don't exactly have a count but it seems less than 5% of the items are usable. This bring me to conclude that the RNG in D3 is a rigged system where Blizzard only allowed a small number of usable items for the end game. If it were true RNG then the ratio for "usable vs trash" would be close to even.

Note: Usable is an item that someone would use in any of the Act in inferno. Trash is an item someone would just vendor or salvage.

Is this old info? If not, can someone help me backup this claim? Is this how the drop system works?

I'm at a point where I'm frustrated with this game. Hours of doing the same thing over and over again in hopes of finding an upgrade is boring me to death.

U think usable vs trash should be even?
Look how many friggin stats there r.
So first, u need to have the stats u want 2-6 stats on an item depending what you are looking for. Then it has to have high/good values. So rng stays rng, no conspiracy theories.

Also what you consider to be garbage trash might be considered decent for someone just starting in act 1 inferno. You say you farmed 200 hours act 2, then its no friggin wonder u dont find upgrades cause u have most likely found them earlier.

does anyone else find it poor on blizzards part to use out dated pictures of this. i'm not going to call it an out right slap in the face, but its just so....so....what is the word.

I rather have them spend their resources on other stuff, rather than trying to perfect this image for the sake of uhh....nothing?!?

i never head anyone about the attack animations, i agree on the other points...
But having played a wd myself i didn't have any probs with slow animations whatsoever.
What also helps is a faster weapon, you really cant say grasp casts slow with a 1.4-1.5 weapon

Some classes/specs have weaknesses which u can overcome with different spec/gear/tactic. Every ranged class has probs with fast movign stuff while melee overall have more probs with big hard hitting mobs. Its the ranged class in general, not just wd and imo has nothing to do with animations.

Animations: While the witch doctor has some of the neater animations (raining toads anyone!??) they're all far too long, even with a ceremonial blade or fast 1h. In inferno I feel sometimes that while running from Fast affixes or just faster moving creatures, stopping to cast grasp/wall of zombies runs a risk of taking damage sort of defeats the purpose of casting the abilities in the first place.

attack speed = faster animation. Do your homework before you complain.

    Quote from Darkennz

I played both of the games and got one conclusion (even played diablo 2 in b4).

WoW: you spend a few hours/days to learn the game/boss mechanics, and, after you kill that boss you already know the drop chance of the gear you need. So you gonna keep killing it until it drop.

Diablo 3: If you want some piece of gear you have 2 choices:

    1) Farm till you get bored and sell the stuffs on the AH, asking the Gods to ppl buy your gear so you can finally buy the piece you want @ ah.

    2) Farm the bosses until you die in front of your computer hoping the gear to drop, and, if drop, you gotta have luck with the stats, bc it can be some shit piece with intel/dest, str/intel.

My point is.. both of the games are good.

But, at least in wow you know... someday you probably will get your gear.

In Diablo its just random, everything is random. If you think about spending your money with this game in the AH you gotta review your concepts about money, bc, imo, it's not gonna worth.

They turned what we knew as D2 into something unknow called D3.

    /trollsarewelcome

You just fail at using the ah, there is your problem...
Don't tell me u never get good items.....it might be that u don't recognize they are good, but thats a different story.
Kinda funny you say omg my gear no drop, at least in wow ur sure u get ur gear. The game is out for 2 weeks....Did you never farm something for over 2 weeks in wow? THen my friend, congratulations, you are THAT snowflake....luck is on your side

    Quote from cmagik

Since I knew it was going to be nerfed (it was kinda obvious...) I was still farming for more stam / other defensives stats. It did not affect me at all :P.
Otherwise it's really sad that the AH is now ruined by all those exploits
WHy is it obvious? Force armor isn't overpowered, it is really good don't get me wrong. But yesterday I solod act 2 inferno with that build (not 4500hpish, more like 12k) and you will die.....A LOT. I literally wiped my way through a lot of elite packs.
Mobs are faster, more ranged stuff, invis stuff, dots, stuns that shit still kills you.

All you guys see is some wiz melee tanking butcher and u go like, wtfawesomesaucebbq nerf plx. So he can solo story mode (act) bosses....so what, you won't get the sweet loot from them. Untill i see someone fully clearing act 2 and 3 on inferno without dying, I say it doesnt need a nerf. WIth full clear I mean go in every dungeon, kill every rare/elite/champ

Force armor not working well is a bug, it was on the US servers and has been fixed one hour or so ago. Expect the fix to come today for EU also.
