    I love this new Paragon leveling system. It gives everybody something to work on over the next several weeks/months/years. Yes, I know the hardcore gamers will be seeing how rapidly they can level up as they max +exp on what they can and play for hours a day, day after day. Personally, I play a couple hours a day 2-3x a week, give or take what my work schedule is, so getting to 100 will literally take well over a year to accomplish. It'll feel like nice lil accomplishments getting from level to level, and getting the 3% bonus/level as well will help find some nice gear for the other characters I plan on making.

    posted a message on 1.0.4 Changes to Demon Hunter
    This was the preview I was looking forward to the most, since I've only made 1 character from the start and been playing this exclusively. I use the Entangling Shot (with Shock Collar rune) most of the time as well as Twin Chakrams, I've found it helpful (for me anyways), to be able to slow them down from afar and use the T.C. to slice through them before they make it to me (having 51K in life also helps keep the 1 shots down). While it wasn't specifially mentioned by number, It's nice to see the E.T. get a boost, and the T.C. get a 15% bump as well. Perhaps it's just my gameplay style, but I've found the T.C. to be one of the best things for my character to use. Also nice to see the Rain of Vengence get boosted too. While kiting some Elite packs, I've been able to use that and have their health whittled down a bit while they're tailing me since my DPS isn't THAT high compared to other lvl 60 DHs. (maxes out just about 30K DPS) Plus, it's also helpful when standing in a pack of monsters to have that going so it'll knock them down some before I have the chance to dispose of them. I look forward to the exact patch notes to see what all they did for everything and what little things got tweaked. :)

    I was just about to start making a Barbarian since I usually don't play melee type characters often and would be a fun change of pace, but I'll probably wait until 1.0.4 goes into effect to make that character so I can take advantage of some of the buffs they got as well.

    Nope to neither one (though other things I'm wearing have a +crit) Even if it was the case, you shouldn't come up with completely different +/- values when comparing 2 bows. Was never like that for the bows I've equipped up until this point, so it has to be something with the new patch in how it's calculating/comparing items.

    I got a new 2H bow to equip my DH with today, had an extra 40dex and 60dps compared to the old one, as well as an extra 70vit. When I moused over the new bow in my stash, however, it showed very minimal upgrades compared to what i had, i.e. only +2.1 damage and -790 life. However, after I equipped it, my dps went up ~1100 and life went up 3K. When i moused over the old bow in my stash, i said it would reduce my life by 4000 and damage by 2200 (since it was weaker than the new one I had now equipped). If anything they should be the same values, just alternating between +/- since it's comparing the same 2 items. Has anybody else seen this crop up when looking at the values between equipping various items?

    1460 Elite kills
    37,202 Lifetime Kills

    5 Legendaries
    Moonlight Ward (Amulet, Act III, Normal)
    Leoric's Crown (Helm, Act IV, Normal)
    Lut Socks (Boots, Act II, Nightmare)
    Heart of Iron (Chest Armor, Act IV, Nightmare)
    and got a Dagger last night while in Whimseyshire on Nightmare, but scrapped it

    The first 4 were with Magic Find of under 20%, the Dagger was with MF around 40%. Looks like I've been far luckier than most so far.

    That means it does 100-200 damage, of which 20-40 is poison and the rest is physical.

    thanks for that info. I kinda figured the + damage after the weapon was an additional damage tacked on to the physical damage mentioned above it. Thanks for the clarification!

    in the properties for it, it says "1 of 2 Magic Properties", then the 2 are "Attack Speed Increases by 6-7%" and "Increased Attack Speed by 6-7%" Am I missing something or aren't those the exact same thing? O_O

    that's over 16hrs a day. I love playing D3, but holy crap, after 16hrs in ONE day I think my brain would turn to mush, let alone 8 straight days of that. Summer vacation I'm guessing?
