Bnet is down so I cant take a look at your profile, but if you only do 'ok' in MP2, MP5 or 6 is not an option. I farm at mp5+ and MP2 is a joke.

I have over 500 hours on my WD shes bascially the only class I play anymore.

These are my suggestions and may differ from others. I fly the bear banner, if you have seen any of my other posts I am positive that in later MP levels bears are the only way to go. I compliment bears with rain of toads for 3 reasons. The proc rate of the skill is the highest you can get on a single target, (it hits even faster then darts) the problem is with mobs that move around then it can be a pain in the butt. RoT has a small hit radius, so if there are some mobs tightly packed together can hit 3+ meaning really good LOH procs, and lastly it is the only skill that can be used over obstacles, mainly waller elites. So for a skill I use it basically for the LOH and life steal crit procs, which work perfect against reflect dmg mobs and like I said wallers.

If you are in lvoe with your WD and plan on gearing him up and stacking high paragon levels stop worrying about mf all together. in a couple weeks with enough play you can be at paragon 50 playing at MP5 and your mf wont need any boosts from your gear at all.

As with every other class you want to stack CD, CH, Resis all, your main stat (int) and vit, and if u can get it attack speed. Aim to get your CH to 30% and CD to over 300%.

Personally if you want to stick with acid/Rot I would seriously look into upping your health and looking for a Skorn with LOH or life steal.

Lastly if you gear up a bit and find yourself wanting to take on higher MP levels and acid cloud jsut isnt cutting( Common complaint around MP4+) it anymore feel free to add me ingame I can give you the low down on bears.

    hope I helped :)

I dont know if you are deserving of a ban, but your post reeks of butthurt, you offer no constructive criticism and you promote conspiracy without any evidence aside from the anecdotal dribble you put forth.

I wouldn't have banned you unless this is the second or third time you wrote such a useless thread, but I definitely would have taken it down.

If you are talking about survivability then what you have is great. If you are talking about efficiency then doing anything at MP10 is a waste of time unless you are dead set on getting those 100% key drops.

But I bet in the time it takes you to stack NV to 5 and then find and kill a keywarden you could get your dmg back up and blast through MP6 and you will yield more keys then doing MP10 runs for the time spent.

Even considering doing ubers at MP10 with such low DPS isn't feasable, sure you might be able to stand in Gohms clouds and your pets wont die but none of it matter if you are hitting them like a wet noodle.

TL;DR Survivability means shit without the dmg to back it up.

I need some life lech for high mp and ubers. Im really confused about wich weapon should I get. If I buy a Life leech socket weapon im losing 70% Critical damage (my currently weapon has 70 and socket). Maybe with a Witching Hour I could replace that 70%.

Simple really. are you getting killed a lot?

if the answer to this is yes, then what good is that 70 crit dmg?

OK now I can grill you hard on your set up:)

right off the bat, square topaz's wont do, you need to upgrade that right away, try to get as high as stars at least. Secondly the two most terrible pieces of gear you have are 1: chest (Dont settle for anything with less then 3 sockets... that alone means you are missing out on a potential 100+ int when using the right gems.) 2: that offhand is brutal! im going to be honest with you so dont take offense. For very cheap you can find a better offhand, dont settle for anything under 300 DPS. when it comes to mojo's anything less then 300 dps is a waste no matter how much int, vit, mana regen, or crit it comes with. With a mere 500K gold u can get a rare offhand with over 300 dmg and that will increase your DPS bu like 20K.

Pants are bleh, once again dont settle for anything under 2 sockets but also dont settle for pants without All resis. if they dont have Int, all resis and 2 sockets they arnt worth it... personally depending on where you stack it Vit is optional if your budget isnt that big.

Your rings have good mods but they are all low. you need to find get ahold of stuff with those mods but way enhanced.

Your mainhand for a WD is terrible. aim for something with mana regen, crit dmg and a socket. Personally I wouldnt buy anything with less then 70 crit dmg plus a socket. anything else like mana regen, or life steal is a bonus.

You are using pet passives with zombie bears... if you are serious about using bears then this is the most simple upgrade I can suggest for you. Get a 'thing of the deep"(like we discussed nothing less then 300 dmg) and switch out your passives for loyalty and handler with Greusome feast and grave injustice. The 20 yard pickup radius with thing of the deep will have u picking up globes from across the screen which will buff ur dps and add to your mana regen and also grave injustice is affected by PuR (pickup radius) which is another boost to mana regen and CD reduction, which means in larger groups u can pop soul walk multiple times to further regen even more.

Lastly I would drop pierce the veil for the time being, only because it makes ur bears cost so much more that every second u arnt casting is damage downtime. Switch it for whatever u want untill your mana pool gets bigger and your passive mana regen gets larger.

I personally would go for spiritual atonement, or vision quest, or like the other guy said if you are having trouble staying alive spirit vessel. I run with a mana pool or 1200 with 95 mana regen and with pierce the veil I still oom on smaller groups.

Lastly, everything I have been talking about revolves around a zombie bears build which to the best of my knowledge and experience is the fastest way to farm. Others migh suggest other things for and acid cloud build or items will change for a zombie dog sac build. But I promise you, with oer 500 hours on my witch doctor a properly geared bears build will have you farming the fastest of any other WD spec in the game.

Sorry for the wall of text I hope I have helped :)

For survivability A dog sac build is amazing. you wont die, ever.

DPS though, nothing beats bears, nothing. Even if you are summoning and sacing as fast as possible the range, the cast box and the speed of bears wins hand down. This is IMO, some people disagree but I have done both and I prefer bears.

    Your issue is simple. gear.

Your int is low, should try to get at least another 800

500 resis all is ok, never hurts to get more.

31% crit chance is good, no issues there

Here is your second major problem, 166% crit dmg, yuck! try to double that.

1K loh is ok, but as you start increasing your dps life steal become much more viable. try to get around 2.5-3% life steal.

I personally us a mixture of about 3% life steal with around 1200 LOH.

Lastly, when you are capable link your profile so we can see what gear you are rocking so someone can give you a better idea of specifically you need to upgrade.

In closing from your stats alone the biggest issues I can see are low int, low CD (Crit dmg)

Well, the advantage of this build lies in the fact that you don't need different items. So it's not a problem to switch from it back to bears or whatever you want. Btw, what's a PC build?

My apologies I meant acid cloud.

posted a message on New WD need some advice please.
I have tried a lot of different builds and I farm strictly MP5 + in all acts. There is nothing, in my opinion, that is better or faster then bears with Gruesome feast, grave injustice. To make the build work really well though you need a lot of mana regen, I suggest working on collecting some form of the Zuni 4 set, and then you can use pierce the veil efficiently enough to really up your dmg.

Dont take offense to this but this build much too dependent on multiple variables. Which is unfortunate because I wish WD's had more versatile builds. I have 110K dps with 800 LOH and and 2.8 life steal. In MP 10 I would die if there weren't at least 4 mobs beside me. The range of cloud of bats sucks and the poison bats is only frontal cone. Both require you to be immobile and they both tick far less then rain of toads.

I personally and unfortunately did not find this nearly as good as a bears, of PC build.
