Fresh start is the only thing that comes in mind.

Only reason why I'm playing season atm is the journey since I enjoy those portrait frames. As soon as I finish the journey, I'll go back playing my non seasonal chars.

Crafting Amulets for a WD is useless as you'll end up getting a trifecta Tal Amu or a Avg crit Tal Amu, which is by far the most superior setup you can use. you can't craft anything close to a good tal amu because of the 3% firedamage bonus(3% OVERALL DPS is not shown on the character screen) you'll end up having with tal chest.

A crafted amulet will still be potentially better than anything. It is BiS. But the odds are low that you'll get something like that. A tals is yes usually the best bet for WDs, especially if you use a black weapon.
There won't be a crafted amulet that is bettere due to the 3% Overall DPS by the firedamage setbonus. there is none crafted out there and there most likely won't be the only time i could be is if you roll a 300+ high avg dmg and perfect trifecta but that will never happen, Avoid currently has the best crafted amulet rolled for int and it gives me some Charscreen dps but overall not effective dps

So you're suggesting that I should aim for better rolled Tal Rasha Amulet and what other Tal Rasha part?

I've finished paragon grinding, got a bit exhausted of my WD. Doing my best to get Marquis Topazes in all sockets and working on better weapon. I got these gloves I'm currently wearing of a white mob and they provided a whooping 3K DPS upgrade over my crafted ones. Lost some resists but nothing important.

Will post a picture when I get back from work with my current stats (Marquise emerald in weapon.

Yea, you need to craft an ammy and gloves. I would recommend craft vit as you will always receive the highest stat rolls. 350 base stat instead of 330. But the safe approach is craft in your respected class. Generally speaking and from experience you get around 70% - 100% bonus CD on the ammy. The gloves its quite easy to get a trifecta, based on my experience and friends.

I've crafted around 500 gloves/amulets so far, these gloves were the best I've gotten and none of the amulets were even close to this Tal'Rasha I'm running with. Gonna try that Vit stuff you mentioned.

You have more than enough radius. Your armor is pretty low. That's where I would concentrate on upgrading. Resists are great, damage is also good. Aim for close to 4k armor and MP-10 will be much easier.

I have little trouble on mp-10 with my WD( http://us.battle.net...8/hero/19228806 ) now, since getting some advice on armor and resists from some fellow WD's in this very forum. Note: I have 0(zero) pickup radius! lol

Thought my armor was low, but didn't pay attention to it since I thought that my monk had loads of armor because, well, he's monk :D

So I should skip getting the 8y more pickup radius? i always thought I'm low on it but then noticed lots of WD having 5-6y or even none.

Also, I've seen lots of people going with Skorn. Is it much better than this variant I'm using? Whenever I put a Skorn which fits in my budget, I end up with more CHD but lose around 30K DPS and loads of other stats (chc, vit). Is it worth it?

Hello guys, I've recently came back to the game and wanted to change from my monk. I ended playing WD which I fell in love later.

Now I've came to a point where I don't know where to search for upgrades anymore.

    Here's my armory http://eu.battle.net...6/hero/30030562.

    Things I'm aware of:
    1. I'm missing 8 more pickup radius to get to 20 (trying to get decent chest with some pr)
    2. I'm low on CHD (got only 324%) here I'm waiting decently rolled crafted gloves

    My stats are (unbuffed):

    Build I'm using:
    http://eu.battle.net...cdUQ!YTc!caccZb

I've tried switching ruby with emerald but getting around 10K DPS loss when i do that.
I'm farming mp10 somewhat easy but can't figure out on what to spend my gold next. Got around 300 mil budget for an upgrade.

    Thanks in advance! :D

Heh, not sure, what to upgrade next for your baby. Your Nats ring lacks crit, but has good average damage, so getting one with crit but without avg dmg would only marginally increase your dps, and both together cost a fortune. You have a lot of life, could probably trade some of it for damage. Maybe an offhand with additional critdmg instead of vitality? Also, you have 2 items with pickup radius, could probably replace one of them, for example inna chest with more vitality (in case you switch out your offhand and find yourself short in the life department) or all/poison resist if you lack those.

    ---

I found a decent mempo with crit yesterday, and just now crafted some nice shoulders with globe heal and pickup radius, which allowed me to change some things around. Bought a so-so witching hour to try it out, it was very cheap. I miss the inna 4 part bonus and I am kind of low on armor currently, but got past 170k unbuffed, and the attackspeed from mempo + witching hour is very nice :)

The hellfire ring is the best I could get from at least 100 crafts :/ However with high avg dmg, 6% critchance and a little loh its not that bad imo. Upgrading that won't be that cheap, and for now I like the juicy +exp :)

I have a hard time finding better weapons for a reasonable price. Using a calculator tells me, that it doesn't really make sense to sacrifice one of the desired stats (socket, critdmg and dex) for higher base dps. I could upgrade my offhand to something like 950 dps with like 20% less critdmg and without dex (and lifesteal ofc), which would cost me like 50 million and hardly increase my dps at all (for this example about 2k). And the same weapon with dex and 90 critdmg is like 1 billion suddenly :)

    *click*

Since you mentioned upgrading weapons is very expensive, I'd look into crafting the new bracers.Since your health is a little low, I would try to get inna's pants and a witching hour with vitality instead of fire res.

Rest of the gear is gonna be really expensive to upgrade, like I said, start with crafting the new bracers and after that try saving for a new offhand, 760 dps is really low.

Be happy with that hellfire ring, it's one of the better ones I've seen and maybe one I'd actually consider using if I had it myself.

    Me:

    http://eu.battle.net...93/hero/4866323

Crafted the shoulders and gloves, while not perfect they're the best I've gotten out of 100 crafts together or so. I have a trifecta neck which I can't use due to the attack speed. Gonna continue crafting shoulders until I get one similar with some life% / vitality.

Don't really have a lot of money(53k ATM) cause of the crafting and the fact I haven't had a decent drop in almost 20 paragon levels.

Am not really an expert in TR builds (tried it once, didn't like it). Only thing I can say, keep crafting, it will roll decently sooner or later!

    Here's mine:

    http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Sallazar-2606/hero/8114944

I'm working on fixing my low resists and low HP. I'm a bit clueless what to upgrade next. Thinking of getting LoH or Lifesteal weapon with a socket (sitting at 49% crit, getting another 100% chd would boost my DPS by quite a margin).

    What do you think?

So Blinding Flash isn't really a good choice anymore. Any recommendations?

I wouldn't say that. Blind is not a mandatory spell anymore, but it still provides nice burst and decent cc. When I use dw, I usually end up still using Blind. Also, judging from your spec, you are playing in a group? The cc from Blind might prove to be more useful in a group than the alternatives.
Alternatives would include Deadly Reach:Foresight + Combination Strike passive for a permanent 49% damage boost with heal, Seven Sided Strike for huge burst and added invulnerability, Wave of Light as a spirit dump (it won't do crazy amounts of damage like with a Skorn, but still quite a bit). Also, in group play you could try Cyclone Strike with reduced cost or more aoe. It got nerfed to pull only 8 enemies recently, but its still strong. Depending on your other characters, your party might benefit a lot from clumped up enemies.

Also, some other suggestions for your build: The group invulnerability sounds nice on paper, but 1 second is way too short imo, its just not worth it. It is usually better for your allies to take care of their own survivability instead of relying on your spell. Healing Mantra + Guiding Light provides a nice team buff, but if you do it, use Time of Need rune for 20% resistances instead, its far more potent than 10% more vitality. Also, Overawe would contribute a lot more damage for the team without using a passive slot, so I would only use MoH+Guiding Light if you already have a Monk using Overawe in your party.

The group I'm playing with at the moment is a monk friend. Our DPS is quite good at the moment (I'm sitting at 170K with BoH and Guiding Light where he's 10K behind) but our durability is a bit low. Both of us are below 600 resists and somewhere at 4,7K armor. We find it best to use 2 defensive auras and take a careful and slow approach when it comes to uber bosses (we managed to down all of them on MP9, gonna try MP10 tonight) and that is the reason we can't afford Overawe (and trust me, we are WoW players who played DPS classes for the past 8 years of game we enjoy big numbers more than everything :D ).

Nothing spectacular, gloves rolled nice CHC and IAS but no CHD and wrong resists. Neck rolled CHC and CHD but no AS and wrong resists. Shoulders were decent only thing they lack is AR. I've crafted bracers of Vitality since I was pretty low on life and again decent rolls on resists and nice CHC.

Took me 10-20 crafts of each to get these results.

    A little update:

So finally RNG Gods looked upon me and decided that I deserve to get a decent items.

I've gotten nice rolled bracers (although no dex on them, double resist coupled with decent crit chance and loads of vitality which I missed), a good gloves (aren't trifecta, still crafting and hoping for it, they have good vit, not my resists though but were 12K DPS upgrade) and had a luck with Inna's Radiance with %life so I'm on that sweet spot I aimed for. Also don't pay attention on my belt, I'm using 4pc inna's for low MP farming and got decent TWH when I'm on higher MP.

What do you guys think I should aim to upgrade next?

    1) What should be my vitality upgrade? I'm thinking to craft "of vitality" gloves or bracers and hope to get a decent dexterity roll on them with my resists (or vitality only with some good offensive stats). The other option would be getting a decent rolled Hellfire Ring and geming +% vitality in my helm.

    2) How does Sweeping Wind calculate the DPS now? Does it snapshot the DPS (I've red somewhere that they've changed it)? Is it still worth to blind before getting SW up?

    3) What is the most efficient MP to farm? is it still Act3 MP1 (Alkaizer runs or w/e was the name)?

    My budget is 40 mil.

    Thanks in advance.

For some unknown reason the armory won't let me see your profile (guess it's just bugging again giving random 404s), but I'll still try to give you some advice by answering your questions.

    1) "Easiest" Vitality upgrades for you should be either bracers or shoulders. They have less stats being possibly rolled, so chances are higher to get some nice vitality while still having somewhat good offensive stats. That's when you want to craft for vit rather than replace other gear, at least. If you asked me, I'd change like quite a lot - first thing being the build. I'll come to that later.

    2) Sweeping Wind no longer snapshots your DPS before you cast it, but instead takes your current weapon-dps for calculations, which means that you should no longer be casting buffs before you use Winds. They still provide a damage boost to Sweeping Winds, though. It's just that the buffs now only last as long as they're active. Keeping Blinding Flash up 100% of the time is no longer possible (which is why it's rarely used nowadays).

    3) It really depends on what playstyle you prefer. If you're sticking with your current build, low to mid-level MPs is still best EXP and Loot-wise.

If you get into the now so popular TR/Bell-Build, however, you'll get way more Xp, Loot and Essences no matter what MP you play on. Depending on your gear, it can be most efficient to farm MP10, but as long as you're gearing up, you're problably doing more XP on mid-level MP (3-5 is likely what you should be going for with your current budget).

Maybe you should just be gathering some information or experience with the new build possibilities and decide which path to chose first. Makes it a whole lot easier to help you with any other upcoming questions!

The link should work now, diablofans added some strange letters at the end of the link for some unknown reason.

Thanks on the tips I'll keep crafting shoulders/bracers until I get the desired ones with vit. I've tried TR/Bell build with not so good skorn and didn't like it. Too clunky and I had a feeling I'm not really in control of my character, so I'll stick to the old fashioned one which I used to play.

So Blinding Flash isn't really a good choice anymore. Any recommendations?

Hello guys, I'm back to game after a long break (5 months or so) and am have some questions about our loved holy warrior.

    Here's my armory: Sikozu

I'm currently rolling with 600 resists and pretty low HP (24K which forced me to use Mantra of Healing with Heavenly Body rune for extra HP). My armory has Guiding Light as one of my passives since I'm running with friend who also plays monk for extra DPS (Fleet Footed is in it's spot).

Now I have all the recipes for the crafted dexterity gear, and it's just a matter of time until I get decent gloves/bracers (shoulders are somewhat good and neck is close to godlike, but it missed my resistance the Physical one).

    My questions are:

    1) What should be my vitality upgrade? I'm thinking to craft "of vitality" gloves or bracers and hope to get a decent dexterity roll on them with my resists (or vitality only with some good offensive stats). Nice damage! However, you seem to be very low on health and resist, aren't you experiencing issues when tanking in public games?
What Act are you farming? I don't see this working out in Act 3 HoS public games, but that's maybe just me :-)
    that was for Sallazar...

    Gamanuj:
You might wanna get a helm with a socket for that sweet paragon exp farming!
Good balance between mf and dmg/survival, I guess you could boost your character up a lot if you'd change a few mf parts to higher gear & just swap on kills.

    http://eu.battle.net...907/hero/561751
Farming ACT3, but sometimes feel way to squishy against some elite packs, even with a 700 dps- 800LoH weapon, survival is a challenge, not sure where to improve with a small bankroll of 12M.

I'm not playing public games. Can't handle the stress so to say. People tend to wander around on their own, can't control what I pull when I pull where I pull. I got 3 friends who are playing with me (dh, barbarian and another monk). All of us got similar gear and are roflstomping through act 3 HoS without any issues and nearly 0 deaths (DH sometimes knows to fall a sleep :P)

Soloing is even easier, killing champion packs within seconds. I'm comfortable with this much resists since Enchantres and mantra are giving me enough mitigation through armor. Only thing I might need to get is some more HP (want to get around 30K) and I'll be fine.

As for you, everything seems fine but if you have troubles surviving sometimes, try playing with evasion mantra with Hard Target. I for one don't have any issues with it.

Need some upgrade on weapon for LoH / crit / socket

    Need some advice !

You got nice crit chance but not enough crit damage. Get a weapon with a socket. Also you don't need that much LoH. I'm running with around 850 and doing more than fine. Get a MH with crit/dex/socket and crit gem without that loh and you'll go through mobs like a hot knife through butter.

I don't know how you feel about your resists, but with more damage you can afford to play with less resists just don't go below 650 and you'll be fine. You can also lose some HP.

    Now my turn:
