Of course the AH is 90% of the game. Blizzard would have been stupid to implement something like the RMAH where they (and you) stand to make money, and then make it only semi-useful.
No conspiracy theory here. It's just business.

May 28, 2012Prag posted a message on Diablo III - Game Design UpdateChanges sound good. Game is really fun, but it'll end after Hell for me. I hope they don't nerf Inferno too much. It's really annoying to see people throw out the "pre-nerf" announcement and there should be a difficulty that not everyone can complete. That's what drives people to improve.Posted in: News

The game is seriously cool. Feels like Diablo should have felt. Almost a mix between ARPG and MMO.

If it were truly rampant, they'd do something. They have much better tracking technology, and if they felt it were worth their time something would be done.

You didn't actually get into the 'tips' until 1:55. That's a 2 minute introduction in a 4 minute video claiming to be "bite sized". Otherwise, great video series. Just trim the fat a bit and really make it bite sized.

Yeah, I'm excited about the idea of it, but I have this sinking feeling that everyone is going to dump their crap on the AH and it's going to be just like the US housing market - too many sellers, non-existent buyers.

I applaud their responses lately. The people they're responding to are giving them 0 respect and are generally acting like children who don't respond to professional remarks with anything other than ridicule. How do you communicate with the incommunicado? Talk to them in their own language.
The latest Blue posts remind me of how developers used to talk to the pains in the asses. That was back when games were really, really fun.

I agree. I was only going on the point he made about the abysmal launch. It's been super smooth for me for at least 9 or 10 days now.

Let's see:
- 12+ hours of downtime in the first 24 hours of launch? Check.
- Consistent disconnects when the servers were actually up making it more difficult to progress? Check.
- Getting an achievement when you could play more than an hour without downtime, only for it to disappear? Check.
That's just the first couple days. I know that if I had been on a Guest Pass there's no way I'd have bought it. They just didn't have time to actually see that the game is loads of fun, pretty deep and re-playable as hell. Sad, really, but nature of the beast.

Haha, yeah. There's nice boobs too, though.

Awesome video. I play DH and the girl that sort of sat there mid-zerg reminds me of my Barb friend the first time I pulled a pack and started kiting. If only those were Waller/Mortar/Desecration chickens.

On topic - You're not geared or you're playing poorly. There wasn't some massive oversight on Blizzard's behalf that left an entire class incapable of defeating Inferno.

Last night's Game of Thrones was AMAZING! One of the best episodes of the season so far. I'm jealous - you're in for a great 3 hours.
