Started with a barb originally, got very frustrated and started a wizard. Beat Inferno Diablo a few days ago and am back on the barb trying to make it work. I'm still at a complete loss, I'm able to do normal mobs with little to no difficulty, however champ/rare packs just crush my dreams. Some of it obviously is the affixes, but I'd say the good majority of them are not doable without a high number of deaths. Screenshot with stats included below... any input is very much appreciated!
Agree with above, I was very hesitant to use teleport over DS when I was in A1/A2, but looking back it would have helped tremendously to do so. I only use DS now in certain situations. Gear wise, I'd recommend looking at the EHP calculator and trying to raise your EHP as high as possible. I managed to get to Siegebreaker with about 130k EHP, and it wasn't TOO bad. I've now upped my EHP at the loss of some DPS to about 189k and I can say that A3/A4 have become a boatload easier given the gearing change on my end. Update: I managed to raise my EHP to 189k via some drops I found yesterday. I cleared A3 with no issues, was able to do Azmo after quite a few attempts (~hour and a half). Mostly bad luck with pools dropping right on top of me, but the fight otherwise was very very simple. I swapped Archon for first A4 boss, had to use the teleport/hydra method for Rakanoth (lol at the insane charge damage). Cleared to Izual with little to no issues (couple deaths to the invis mobs). Izual was a bit of a challenge due to the Oppressor adds, very hard to get the timing down so you don't get insta charged while kiting Izual and worrying about the adds. I did manage to down him solo, and was able to kill him with my brother (DH) again later. I cleared to Diablo, and we did some duo attempts. Best attempt with both of us was about 65%.

I'm confident after learning the fight last night that I can get to Phase 2, then it's just a matter of learning phase 2 and I think he'll drop soon. My goal is to down him before the nerfs, so time is ticking!

Also: Champ/Rare packs have gotten much easier, I was able to kill basically everything I came across in A3/A4, including Fast/Extra Hp/Mortar/Something scorpions in A3..... I haven't done a ton of siegebreaker farming yet as my main focus is killing Diablo, but I'm confident that those packs will not be much of an issue anymore.

I've been reading here and a variety of forums regarding the class, but still have some questions. I've been trying to boost my EHP, an according to the calc I'm sitting around 131k EHP currently. I'm able to clear trash in essentially any act, however champ/rare packs prove to be very difficult and often require a handful of deaths to kill.I haven't attempted Azmo yet (going to start clearing to him now) but I did clear to Diablo last night, and was only able to get him to ~85% (with 99k EHP at the time). It seems to me that given my stats, I should be having an easier time (in particular doing siegebreaker with 5 stack) clearing.
I'm a fairly experienced 'gamer' and have quite a bit of end game raiding experience in a variety of games, I don't think I'm a bad player by any means, but struggling to see what I'm missing in this case. Any help is appreciated. Stat picture is posted below, I'm open to any and all suggestions.
As far as I'm concerned, the game starts at Inferno. I see very little benefit at this point with 2 chars currently on Inferno to take time to level an alt by playing through the game, not to mention the fact that you're talking tens of hours rather than a couple hours dedicated to leveling something to 60. I recognize that my mentality is not shared with everyone, and I respect that. Due to time constraints, however, this is a necessary reality for me.
Trying to figure out the best way to go about leveling an alt. I've currently got 2x level 60s and not interested in playing through again to level the third. Are there any tricks out there like the Azmo one was? Any help is appreciated, thanks! Feel free to PM me if you'd prefer to explain that way.
