Wow ... "Do you guys not have phones?" come back reply .... lol I have no desire to play games on my phone, especially a hack and slash. I am not even sure how that is possible on a phone. A tablet I can somewhat see but a phone.

Maybe I am expecting too much from it. It really has to be a dumbed down game.

This game is more of an MMO than an ARPG. Even the commentator stated such in the video that this game plays more like WoW even though it may look like Diablo graphically. As such, I personally have no interest in this game.

I guess I am old... I remember when a game came out, you played it then waited until the next game came out. There were no content patches and such.

I think people need to face up to the reality that his game is over 4 years old and eventually going to stop getting content patches. I am surprised they have put as much into the game as they have. Time to move onto the next game if you can not accept that.

For a good player knowing the locations of elites and monsters and projectile highlighting should not be important. Not knowing those is part of the CHALLENGE.

Although I do believe that blizz can/does make mistakes, I seriously doubt people got their accounts back my sending a simple text..

I understand the hatred I am about to receive, but has anyone considered the game is over 4(over 2 for RoS) years old, and if you're bored or hate it that much, maybe it is time to move on? This whole i paid for a game 4 and 2 years ago so i still demand changes be made is a joke. If the game required a subscription, I could understand feeling that you think you are entitled to some updates/changes because you're still paying for it. But in this case you're not. Sure, other "F2P" games are passing along updates, and Blizzard did for quite a few seasons, but that doesn't mean Blizzard has to keep on with them forever. And if you want to compare D3 to those other games, just go play those other games.

Maybe you should just look for another game. People get tired of games, eventually. Nothing wrong with that. Playing the game despite it being boring seems unhealthy^^

I remember in the good ol' days when single player games were the way to go. They didn't get updates or new content, you bought them, played and abandoned them. We were still happy.

As said, it would surprise me if they didn't announce anything at GamesCom or BlizzCon.

I'm sorry, Drahque, but you may be one of the most naive people on DFans. No, Diablo III did not lose 50% of its playerbase. Botting has been hit hard with banwaves, but the sad truth is that most people who are banned for botting simply turn around and just buy a new account. This is the point of the season (about 2 months in) where players tend to move on to other things. Season 7 will see a massive increase in popularity then it will drop off again just as it does every season. Blizzard has always said that they want Diablo III to be a game that people can pick up and play for long extended periods and then take a break from.

A lot of people seem to strongly believe that Diablo III is dying because the Diablo III team is dying. Neither is true - a total of three people have left the team. We still have all of the big names: Josh Mosqueira, Wyatt Chang, Brian Kindregan, Travis Day, Matthew Berger, Joe Shely. Most of the core team that worked on RoS is still on the Diablo team. Two people transferred for the Legion launch and one person decided to leave Blizzard to pursue new ventures. The Diablo team has always had dozens of members that you've likely never heard of or bothered to read into, and most of them are still there. The team still easily has 50+ members. People started freaking out when Leonard Boyarsky because they think that means no new lore can be created, yet they forget that Brian Kindregan was actually the lead writer for RoS and he is in fact still employed and on the Diablo III team.

in my opinion if nobody re-develops something like Thud or if Killerjohn doesn't come back, this will result in a dead game.

You are the type of person that was Born as an only child. You we given candy since RoS launch and now that it is slowing down on content creation you think this game is dead. Hate to break it to you but every season doesn't need new content. RoS is a whole is technically complete. Most classes got balanced.

If blizzard continues to release new content well then there is zero point of a final expansion. The slow down is a good sign for a 2017 expansion. Moldran had a video on YouTube stating that D3 would have at least 2 expansions before D4 would ever be conceived. People want D4, which is stupid. WoW engine is more dated than D3. Plus you pull in more sales from DLC / expansions than a brand new game.
