Hit me up in game if you want, Fat#1720. Alternatively, anyone who is interested can request membership in our clan, The Adult Gamer, as it's currently accepting new members to join

All in good time, I agree that the anticipation is part of the fun

Essentially, in the last week since I've been resetting quests to re-do the story, I have not seen a single IK set item drop, despite completing the story at least 4 times in that week. Now, this could just be RNG and that's fine. But many of my clan members have also been resetting and none of them have gotten one of their class set items to drop in that time either.
This is either highly improbable or there is some kind of weird bug that prohibits class set items from dropping until the game has been complete.
What I'm wondering and need help is to see if anyone around here has noticed similar behavior. Has anyone gotten their set item to drop while quests weren't complete?
Any input and information on this would be extremely helpful

I'm worried about a couple of things to just start right when it launches: one is server lag, the other is being in a completely new situation and not having any knowledge at all of what is coming my way.
I have two 60 characters, so it's possible I could go through with the "low" paragon level character first, then switch to my primary once I feel comfortable.
The server lag is my biggest concern for the first week of even trying to do HC. I wonder how stable things will be or if there will be lag/disconnects similar to the first week of playing the game back when it first came out. I'd much rather tear through in Core and then wait for things to settle down... but I strongly prefer hardcore nowadays.
Anyone else been thinking about this? What are your plans?

One other thing I did early on was stack life on hit and life per second pretty heavily. Think at one point I was at 1,000 LoH and 2,000 LPS. Made me feel very confident that even with a DC I would still have a good chance of being alive (my barb did survive several disconnects and bad server lag).

While I'm certainly not the first to reach it, it feels good. I lived through several disconnects and some pretty scary moments - especially early on when my gear was pretty bad.

Good luck to all those still working your way towards 100

In terms of getting PK, I haven't yet experienced anyone trying to kill me. You can tell if someone is in combat now over their banner, so that helps. Just don't port on anyone until they're out of combat. However, that doesn't stop people from amassing tons of enemies outside a doorway and waiting for you to walk outside.
I would say that if you're really concerned but still want to try a public game, start your own. That way you know it's a fresh game and anything that happens from that point forward should be fairly obvious to you and allow for a quick escape.

Or, play your game and try not to be overcome by jealousy of the amazing things others can achieve by taking shortcuts.

I always liked Call of Arreat. Land, grab everything right next to you, overpower, charge out, and call it a day.
Also depends on the type of berserker... to me I think of an axe throwing berserker. So a little weapon throw is never a bad thing either.
Too many skills... too few slots...

One other item to try and find is a belt with life leech. While your damage isn't quite high enough yet to take full advantage, as you scale your dps that extra life will be great.
You amulet now is good but not great. If you have the resources, try crafting a few more of those. If you get really lucky you might be able to craft an AR, LoH, Life regen amulet. Given your current health pool, maybe try for a high vitality amulet for now until you get some more vitality on gear (will also make switching shields to one without vitality easier)

In hardcore, party builds and thinking about getting a cohesive group can allow you to safely farm higher MP than you might otherwise be able to handle. So yeah, it makes a lot of sense.
I was a WW barb in group games and it wasn't fun for me and it wasn't fun for people I played alongside. Every time a WW joins my game I groan. Constantly running around like crazy ahead of the group and off the screen, never keeping together with everyone else, and typically the ones who play that way aren't even killing mobs themselves (not always, but a lot of the time this seems to be the case).
