Even if it is for 4 hours of content every 2-3 months. Fuck paid DLC...Blizz has a commitment to making games that don't need them (well, excluding x-pac's for obvious reasons). I keep saying this over and over again: The spoiled brats out there that bitch about the game should be thankful they paid $60 for one that is still being updated, tweaked, and balanced...for free.

It's not for free. We could argue on exactly how much money they have gotten from the RMAH so far, but I think we can all agree with one thing: that amount is greater than zero.

Also, how brainwashed are we when supporting one's product is reason for acclaim, instead of it being the other way around - NOT supporting one's product being reason for criticism?
"Companies exist to make money", yadda yadda, yeah, I know.

    With all due respect…

To imply that the money Blizzard makes on the RMAH is the culmination of an entire user base to pay for all updates and future expansions is just absurd and to be honest, is not a surprise when coming from the likes of you. You are what I call a permanent troll on the game forums having nothing good to say about the game yet you find time to post your vitriolic filth on the forums dedicated to the game that the majority of us like. We post here because we like the game and when we post a dislike it is a genuine concern for the game and hope that our posts shared with others will be seen as constructive criticism. Your posts are garbage and have always been.

As for the game, I am planning on an anniversary celebration and will be taking my DH to the next level and will continue to enjoy this game. Thanks to Blizzard, many of my expectations for the game have come through and all that have not are being taken care of. It is nice to see a company take care of its user base and continue to support a game well after its initial release.

The solution needs to improve self-found gear without significantly improving AH gear or gold found, such as the BoA crafting recipes. I think they are on the right track.

    Agree with the underlined part.

But Blizz apparently regrets the AH's existence. They have made steps to drive people away from the AH's (BoA).

They can't just strip the AH out of the game. The outrage from something like that would drive players away in droves.

Well they most certainly can. IMO...the only people that would run away so haphazardly would be the botters and for-profit players.

Blizz is trying to dramatically overhaul D3. They've targeted the worst offender, itemization. They've targeted content to be expanded. And rightfully so, they've apparently now targeted the AH's as problematic.

It's doubtful that Blizzard as a whole regrets the AH and in fact embraces it as it is an existing part of the game and will continue to be so for the games duration. Rather than saying they regret it, perhaps it would be best to say they wish it were more balanced and that is what brings me to my second point. They are not driving people away from the AH with BoA items, they are simply balancing the games itemization thus balancing the use of the AH. People thought that the Hellfire Ring would be the demise of ring sales on the AH but look how that turned out... Even Vile Wards are bouncing back from a short lived low spell in sales and Lacunis are as expensive as ever. With more crafting of better items, the AH will become just another option giving way a little more to crafting and looting. The next best improvement I can see them doing is increasing the drops of better items and letting us have more crafting.

I'm on hiatus from D3. The proverbial straw that broke the camels back? Individual ID'ing....I just couldn't fucking do it anymore. IT's so frustrating ....it got so on my nerves that it was like a nail being dragged across a chalkboard with every click.

I don't weather to laugh at this or actually PM you the number to a good shrink... You quit a game for a simple mechanic that can easily be avoided by not picking up everything you see on the ground? Really?

    http://en.wikipedia....amel's_back

The second sentence is especially enlightening: "This is a reference to any process by which cataclysmic failure (a broken back) is achieved by a seemingly inconsequential addition, a single straw."

    Oh well...reading comprehension be damned.

    Thank you......

Feels odd explaining age-old sayings, doesn't it?

I get the saying but you two have seemingly missed my point. If you look closely its the large elephant in the room staring at you and asking, why the hell were you even bothering to pick up the rares when you hated ID'ing them so badly? I know it's a tough call but maybe the straw that broke that camel’s back was more of an excuse to post a flawed complaint on a forum? Maybe??? <_<

posted a message on Blizzard is Unaware of Diablo 3's Downfall...
    Quote from Jaetch

I haven't checked on this topic since the 100th post. It's past tripled since then... what's going on now?

To be honest, there are a few good posts in the thread but all in all it is more akin to the Special Olympics...

My opinion on the topic has become less cynical on the game and more on the community. It seems to me, and I am just being frank here, that the community is comprised of two people. Those with less expectations and find themselves enjoying the game and then the people who bought the game expecting that the hand of God himself touched the team at Blizzard and granted them the powers to develop a perfect game and now after having played it feel let down. The entitlement they feel is IMHO appalling.

I know I am going to get flamed for saying so but it doesn’t bother me. Hearing the complaints from those who say the game is dead simply shows the level at which people’s expectations of the game rose and then couple that with the entitlement culture we live in and viola, you have one of the most discontent communities in all of gaming history... Or so it would seem if you simply read these forums.

Funny when you think about it, there was no mention durring the confrence call of the doom and gloom that is currently floating around the forums... Makes you wonder. Maybe, by an odd chance the investors could care less about idiots that talk trash about a game that could quite possible be considered the most successful PC game in history... Hmmmm.....

posted a message on New patch, major let down.
    Quote from Litheum

Not sure about anybody else, but I feel completely let down by the new patch.

    Dueling:
They added dueling, cool. Only issue I have with this is you can't just turn it on in a public game. They could have easily just made a hostile flag for your character, so when your waiting for your friends, or at the end of the run you just turn it on and fight each other. If you don't turn your flag on, you dont die, so not sure why we need a whole new zone to keep characters safe. New zone does look pretty fun though......

    Craft Recipes:
Again they added a very short-sighted answer to adding new content. Farming recipes is a reason to farm bosses, great! But once you get that recipe, that content dies. And you will never return, just like the A4 recipe, it was easy to get, you got it, and never returned to A4. This will give a month or 2 of farming bosses, then everyone will be back in A3.

Crafting mats: More incentive to farm A3 at max efficiency.

New Gems: More incentive to farm A3, 20 million gold plus the gold you spent on your 3 RS gems.

New gear effects: The high price and time investment means this only increases the need for only 1 high-powered character to run A3 with to further improve that character. It gives no incentive at all to have more then 1 character. Especially since they gave no reason to make gear with vitality (it's still all about super-farming with high-dps mains). So this amounts to running A3 endlessly and along the way having a chance for a new item. If its anything like Hellfires, they will just end up sitting in your bank unused. Especially for high-end characters with good items in those slots already.

Things that the developers made no attempt to change:
99% of rare drops are vendor trash (actually made this worse w/ the crafted recipes in the few slots rares still had potential)
Way too many rares overall, meaning only legendaries and recipes are worth picking up for high-tier players
AH is still the best way to gear alts and even your main until you get lucky with a recipe.
No incentive whatsoever for more than 1 charcter.
No reason to farm anything but A3. (Other than to get your recipes, once you get it, no reason to do it again)
Still favors MP0-2 farming meaning less diversity in gear choices, we will continue to just increase DPS stats.
    No end-game content, End-game = A3.
No items are leaving the economy.

At the end of the day, the only change they made (outside of duels) is along your perpetual A3 runs, you will get some mats you can use to forge a new item. Most of these will end up in your bank rotting.

So far, I see no reason for me to come back at this time.

Soooooo.... The cup is only half full right? Please, the patch is not even out yet and you are already disappointed. Maybe, just maybe there will be another patch after this one! Maybe, just maybe the game will be expanded and more content will be added. Maybe, just maybe you will never be happy with a game that nearly a year after release is still getting support from the developers…

posted a message on Exactly how i feel about D3
If I were to visit the forums for every game I fell out of love with and post my thoughts I would have spent countless hours of my life posting. It's a game; you're bored with it... So play something else. What is the point of threads like this? I ask because I am legitimately interested in what compels somebody to post threads like this rather than spending their time playing a new game they might be happy with...

posted a message on MP4-MP5 is the MOST EFFICIENT way to loot
    Quote from nuhertz

I believe MP4 and MP5 are the most efficient Monster Power levels to loot items. The math seems straight forward, and my unscientific in game play seems to confirm.

I would like to argue using my own personal unscientific evidence that playing the game on anything above MP1 for loot and XP is just silly. If you want to test the might of your character then by all means, play the game at MP5, or MP10 for that matter but if you are just going to loot and XP, then go for MP1. It's the fastest and most efficient way to farm... IMHO of course.
