I tried pony level starting with 5 stacks already, but the results were the same. I get better items farming act 3. Of course, I can't say this with certanty, since the items are randomly generated, but it seems I didn't get any better results on pony level...
Now I'm inclined to believe that mf makes THE difference. But, unfortunelly, I can't afford 50mil+ items.
Phrensta and InfinityX, how did you get gold to buy these expensive items before you have a high mf % gear? I'm asking this because I tried to farm gold and even if I get 2 million per day, it would take me an eternity... lol
In fact, the main reason why people want high MF is to farm items and, consequently, sell them for gold/money.
Well, I started to focus on mf early on, on piece by piece base. Unless you want to spend real money on it it is a little by little work. Most people are dropping mf pieces right now at good prices because all the rage (and money) is on legendaries. I would start buying one piece every 3-4 days and little by little your loot will improve and you'll get your money back faster on each mf piece you add.
You can always start with a cheap switch set for dealing killing blows to elites and start improving little by little, white mobs have a nice chance to drop yellows and legendaries and I've gotten a couple of legendaries so a real mf set is worth the hard work.

i have that wizard with mf and crit mass and i clean act 3 & 4, but i have low dps
How much dps do you have? I have a bit more than 30 dps (low), but I think it's enough for this build, since it freezes and explodes everything in the screen (and it doesn't take long).
Do you get many "top class" items with your mf gear on acts 3 and 4?

20k dps, but i play only with teams (when i play solo, i use my dh), well, i farm basically in last quest from act 3 (heart of sin) and i got around 50~60 yellow items, but 90% its a crap (or more)

I'd say it depends on which act you plan on farming and how much you care about paragon leveling. Leveling will be faster with your best gear. I'm a CM wizard, and I've invested in an MF set that allows me to quickly and safely farm act 2 with 250 MF, but for the best experience rate, I always go back to my main gear set and go to act 3.
IMHO, the only acts worth farming are 3 and 4, because of the items' level. Am I right? Did you loot anything really interesting on act 2 (legendaries, 30kk items, etc.)?

I'm new here... I have a critical mass wizard that, despite the low dps, is going very nice on inferno (clear all solo).
But now I want to focus on finding items. Do you think it's viable? Or should I keep using my normal gear, with almost none mf (125% mf on nephalem 5, paragon level 9)?
I'm asking this beacause just now I can solo the whole Inferno, so all the items I found until this moment are crap, because I didn't farm properly yet. I'm planning to focus on finding items now (and consequently rise my paragon level).
Should I try to buy a new equipment or keep mine and play more?
