same for whites. also, at this point in the game, rares/magic items/common items should just be auto pickup as mats lol (yea yea i know itll never happen). other than a new 70 throwing on rares until he/she can find/gamble ANY leg per slot (because shitty legs roll better than the best rares), and craftable jewelry being usable and affordable until good leg ones are found, rares are completely dead!
i still have fond memories of selling ias blues on the ah before the massive ias gimp.
ya i dont know why people are always asking for the best set ups. do what you can with what you have. experiment. press shift+l to get some helpful guidelines. remember you cant emulate them exactly because your gear and playstyle is different.
also remember a hell of a lot of rng goes into leaderboard placement
yea they tried the timer thing, shared mf, increasing mf from difficulties to a point where gear mf doesnt matter, and probably more all to curb gear swapping not leeching. theyve never cared about leeching. if your group doesnt want a leech, then vote kick him out. zpds can wear exp gear and be extremely helpful to the group at the same time. that doesnt mean they arent helping the group. i dont see what the issue is here. pure leeching is all mf gear running behind doing no dmg and just picking up items. its sort of like power leveling. zdps with exp gear on has huge utility for the group, especially in mid gr40 speed runs where real gear wouldnt help much at all.
as such, blizz is making zdps less useful because right now they cc a little too well.
dps classes wear exp items for speed runs too. at least i do! i go with as much bonus exp i can afford while still maintaining speed. always ruby in helm. sometimes that helm is leorics. sometimes a hellfire ring is on. sometimes i even drop an emerald for gem of ease if the group is fast enough. theres simply no point in wearing all your real gear if the thing thats using up the most time in the gr is time between packs.
magic find's problem was people switching gear before an elite or goblin kill wasnt it? blizzard didnt like the idea of switching gear in general (no more snap shotting).
Just wondering if there's something I'm missing. Are they gambling for them? A friend (650ish plvl barb and dh) and I (550ish plvl barb) have yet to even see ONE drop. Whereas the vast majority of the 1000 people on leaderboard all have BOTH. Granted, we do each have an Ancient IK weapon (mine is bad his is awesome).
Obviously I'm jealous, but other than barb loot sharing and possibly gambling for them (a huge waste of shards imo), what is everyone doing to get these?
i dont think theyre exclusive. i dont think its a great way to get people out of rifts (due to reliability). dont get me wrong i think its an awesome anniversary present (i wish there were buffs too because i wanted an easy way to get the gold conquests), and i hope it stays. i just dont see it as a good way to get out of rifts or a good source of items/mats. its like how people were goblin farming for vaults when they were first introduced because OMG GOLD AND GEMS! after awhile, this will be just like vault: no one farming for it but massive group boner when it shows up in a public cache game.
yea because they think till make them more money. that was a shady shady move on their part: officially ok-ing something that gives players a HUGE advantage over others because it requires multiple copies of the game.
You get caught cheating in any competitive environment, you get banned. What Blizzard have done here is send a clear message. And I hope they trawl through the accounts and ban every single cheater.

you see...d2 cow level you could open reliably. you have to farm for quite a while and cross your fingers really hard to even enter d3 cow level
