posted a message on Becoming a Billionaire in D3
    Quote from GoedeWiet

Well, becoming a billionaire in D3 is rather easy, as long as you have enought time to spend on the AH.

After trying several things, I think the next tactic is the most easy:

    1. Select All Armors (for example)
    2. Set a suitable buyout (10m, 50m, 100m)
    3. Set level to 60
    4. Set type to legendary
    5. Sort the table on freshness (so 1d12h on top)
    6. Hit ENTER
    7. Scan the top items that have just entered the AH system
    8. Spot the items that are underpriced heavily
    9. Buy them within seconds, but be aware for AH bots that buyout the more obvious snipes (mempo with socket and CHC for example), the less obvious snipes will be sniped less quickly by bots

    10. Resell your snipes for about 75% of their market price - this way they almost sell instantly
    11. Repeat step 6 to 10 untill your eyes hurt or untill your bank accounts hits zero

Your point #8 assumes a lot, and point 9 is irrelevant - how is one supposed to be aware of a bot? The AH is not a fps. If a good deal is nabbed by someone before you, you won't see it listed. Simple.

posted a message on [GUIDE] Thunderstrike Gameplay + Build Videos
    Quote from redcinder

Are you saying you purposely create guides that are different but are slower and inefficient ? In my opinion I believe that the fun for most people comes with efficiency, how fast they can soldier on through the mobs and find the nice shiny oranges.

TL;DR Good guide template, use it on efficient guides and get more views.

That's a rather large assumption to make. If efficiency is the only thing that matters, then no new guides are needed as the DW/WW build at low MP is all that's needed for Barbs and that's been covered to death.

plvl 100 gogo. Only way to play D3 lol.

    Quote from pikke

And I'd like to know who was the person, Jay or else, who uberfailed Legendaries (in an item hunting game where stats on items make most of the difference, no less!!!) on release.
Come on, don't be shy, we won't eat you....maybe.

That would be Andrew Chambers. He was the guy that made light of David Brevik's chance of success after D3's successful launch in Jay's infamous "FTL" facebook post.

There's a lot of fail to spread around D3's development team. Jay takes the fall, and rightfully so, for being dim-witted enough to act like everything was perfectly ok after release.

Rob must feel sorry for Jay, but shouldn't because Jay brought it on himself. Stating on the day of release that D3 has been in polish mode for the previous two years was laughable. Then telling us we should be sick of Cain and that the story was awesome. That whole facebook incident. Teasing us with PvP, only to post a back-tracking blog post a few weeks later saying it's "just not up to snuff". Gawd.

And now 1.07 is introducing stuff Brevik said they should have introduced in the first place. Hmmm...

posted a message on Should I keep my Skorn or switch to DW and Gear Check!
Like Trocal asked, what do you want to do?

If it's XP farming, you want to DW and go with a Sprint/WW build at MP0-1.

If it's uber/key/loot farming at high MP, well you can stick with DW but a nice Skorn is good here too. I run a HOTA build for MP8 runs when I feel like doing something different.

posted a message on Message from Jay Wilson
I'm pleasantly surprised. Jay has himself to blame for over-promising and under-delivering on D3. His personal behaviour since release didn't help him any either.

I hope he was put on a pet project within Blizzard so that he won't do any further harm to existing projects in the pipe. If it's Warcraft 4 with him in charge I'm sure it'll release with the campaign but lacking multiplayer. :P

posted a message on Millions and millions of gold....
    Quote from Lohk

These topics come up often and are always replied with the same "Farm more.", which doesn't help the OP in any way.

I've gone from 5 million to 15 million just selling gems. I have recipes for Star cuts of each color and I just farm until I have no more of the crappy rares up on the AH(the ones that sell for like 25k >.>). By that time, I usually have 100-150 Flawless gems and I just use the tomes I pick up and make gems until I am out. Then I put up everything, except Flawless, on the AH. Usually takes about a day to sell everything with the occasional re-list.

Also, right now Inferno Essences are going for quite a bit. Although they are going down in price again. If you have some, I'd sell those off if you need money right now.

However, if you want to invest, the new crafting recipes in 1.0.7 might use Essences/Tears, you can start picking up Blues during your farm runes and salvaging them. It's a bit of a gamble, though. You might end up with a whole bunch of essences worth 500g a piece :|

Hope this helps! Good luck :)

    edit:
I almost forgot, use this site for looking at prices. Helps a ton.

While you provide a means of making gold to the OP, all you've really done is state what you've criticized others for stating, which is farm more...

So yeah, just farm, however you want to do it.

Guaranteed legendaries are a bad idea, and given their current state hardly serves as an incentive to plow through X levels of an inifinite dungeon.

posted a message on The Hammerend build!
I like Thrive on Chaos even when using a 2hander. I cannot keep WotB up long enough as has been noted, but at MP7-8 some elite packs take longer than 15s for me to kill (240k dps with WotB:ToC up) so the extra time is helpful.

Also, it's easy to keep WotB up for 30-60s, meaning the cooldown for WotB is usually really short. :)

    Athene ftw.

It's amazing that people still don't realize it's all just an act. He's been trolling for how long now, 6 years or so?

I think most people realize this. Still........explain to me, please, the difference between acting like a fucking douche bag and actually being a fucking douche bag?

Some people need to ridicule others over insignificant matters to feel they stand for something.
