I got my kulle aid off a riftboss in torrment one. I was super excited because I don't need regular potions anymore.

posted a message on The Great Advice Thread
Lately there has been a lot of changes made to the game. People are asking what the best way to run things, farm things, build things. The fact is...nobody can tell you how to play, because ultimately, it is up to you to play however you want. FInd you own fun, play any class you like, play any difficulty you want, run bosses, bounties, rifts, whatever you want.

However there is still room to ask questions to your fellow Diablo players. This thread is to pick each other's mind about the game. Get advice here on what your weakest item is, get build ideas, run ideas. Ask questions about stat weights, anything and everything you have a question about. This is the thread for it.

I will start with the first question.

I have 540K dps currently on my crusaderhttp://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Pricecut-1254/hero/43711188 and right now I've been focusing on rifts. I play in Torrment 1 and murder everything pretty easily except the rift bosses. I wonder if stepping up to T2 is a good idea. I dont die, atm due to 11 million thoughness, but those rift bosses can take three minutes to kill or more. Is this a good level to go ahead and step up? Or should things be tweaked still before taking on T2.

So the xpac has been out for about a week now and I want to see what people have been able to do with the new class. I myself have found a build that allows me to cast blessed shield for free and have it bounce 8 times every cast. The flail and shield combo is nuts.

    1. He absorbed the soulstone because we were beating his shit in and he needed the extra power. His death releases diablo who is the prime evil now having absorbed all the other evils into himself. Diablo will come back, the other lords will not.

    2. Tyrea l. Could not harm his brother because he is only a mortal now. We couldn't hurt him until we combined the powers of the dead with our own. That is why we could hurt maltheal.

3 and 4 are not questions.

    5. It doesn't seem likely that the angel of death will comeback. Tyrea l says that diablo is once again released after the fight so it would be reasonable to assume that diablo will return as a boss in the next expansion and probably will have some of death's powers in addition to this own because of mal absorbing the soul stone during the fight.

    That's all my quests though.

Just as the title says. I am curious to see what dps and thoughness numbers are getting. I saw people in beta with over a million dps, but it doesn't seem like those same 3000+ dps weapons drop anymore.

Currently my Crusader is doing 420k dps with 6 million thoughness. I struggle with T1 solo atm. Master is also a pain. I feel like expert is where I should be because it feels the best right now.

So if I do bounties on Expert difficulty and stockpile them until I have a bunch, then exit the game and set it to torrment six before I open them, do you think I'll get better loot that way?

posted a message on D3 RoS preparation advice.
I am not sure Diablo will drop a legendary 100% when reaper goes live. That might be moved to the act v boss. Also the pools I am pretty sure will only apply to your paragon experience bar. So once reaper is live you will revert to standard exp for your levels. Though you may get that back after you hit 70.

Frankly I wanted to level to 70 in adventure mode. But my buddy wants me to play through Act V With him the moment we can so probably be doing that then finishing leveling up in adventure mode.

posted a message on RIP AH you will be missed
The auction house was a good idea in theory. In practice it just ruined the experience for me. I was an avid player, putting 600 hours into my monk before the appearance of paragon levels, and I was also one of those players who had no RNG luck at all. The legendaries I did find were aweful and the AH only served to show me the wonderful stuff I would never afford of self-find. I hated the strangle-hold the AH had on the self-findability of the game.

Life without it will be much better. However I wish there was a bit of lee-way on trading now. Instead of making everything crafting and Legendary account bound. What if we had two hours of a trade period? However limit the trade use on the item. If I find a Legendary, I have two hours to trade it to anyone for two hours before it becomes bound to me. Maybe even sell it should a player want the item bad enough. But that trade is limited, if I trade someone an item, that item becomes instantly locked to that second player. That way the item can be sold or traded within a certain amount of time, but only once.

There is a kind of potential of buyer's regret in that sense, but if they preview the item and buy carefully then things should be okay. Plus the power of self-finding would keep prices (if items sold) reasonable.

posted a message on Puzzle Ring - Pickup Ticker
Puzzle Ring's new affect is a novelty. It sounds great as an idea, but in practice it really doesn't work out. The Common debris it just too important for crafting to ever be worth the goblin stealing all your whites. However I will point out that whites almost always drop from armor and weapon racks throughout the game. You have to make a point in clicking them in order to collect your white items. People have be trained so long to ignore that shit that it take a little effort to remember to click and gather them for the crafting mats. Trust me though, clicking through those racks in act 3 will yield plenty of common debris.

What would really be cool is a change to the puzzle ring. Maybe instead of collecting white items the Goblin merely trades them. So the Goblin will grab a white off the ground, then throw the item back out, with the chance of it being white, blue, yellow, orange or green. This makes the goblin not useless as most of the whites he takes will be returned, allowing players to still have their goblin, their whites, and possibly legendaries if the goblin feels nice.

posted a message on What's more important, damage or toughness??
I like to weigh the changes I get from a new item. If the thoughness hit way greater than the damage I would gain, then I ignore the item. The same applies to an item that would give me more thoughness. I usually go with a 5 to 1 split. So if an item would give me 5% damage, but take away 1% thoughness, then I would quickly equip that item. This of course doesn't apply to items with special effects like cold skills dealing X% extra damage. So you have to use good judgement on that kind of thing. I'd say for torment 1 you wanna try to hit about 150K damage or more, and 1.5million thoughness. Skill can offset lacking thoughness up to a point though. So do with that what you want.
