Hey guys, sorry for not posting in here for so long, we've been working on updates for the expansion and had no real way to interact with the code until about a week after release because blizzard did not update their api until then.
Anyway, we are back and have just released, really, really sorry for not checking in here. I hope everyone likes the changes.
Noticed something a little odd. Up until yesterday DiaBRO was telling me MP7 was optimal, I've changed nothing and now it says MP9. I guess you changed the calculation, it's just I can barely do MP9, let alone it being efficient. Link to my character.
I just looked up your character and saw mp7.. I am guessing you logged out buffed when you got mp9?

For anyone not aware as to what DiaBro3 does, simply visit our site and throw your battletag in the search. We'll take your character's information and help you figure out which MP level is optimal for your character with their current gear. We'll also rate your gear and let you know which items are holding you back. Our latest iteration contains the following adjustments:
DiaBro3 Recommended Builds We have added a new section below the armory which will display builds that we encourage players to use. We found that we wanted to provide a platform for new or returning players to jump in and this part seemed key.
Full Calculations Displayed We were always using a more in-depth analysis of your character, which reaches beyond the armory, however, we wanted to show more of this information to you. It has its very own tab so you can view this information if you want, or keep it simple. We located it below armory, and below the recommended builds.
Nephalem Stack Chart We are really excited about this one. Not only do we analyze the ideal MP for you to farm, but we also dynamically create a chart which grabs your gear, paragon, mp, etc and shows you a breakdown of your experience, magic find and gold find for each stack of nephalem. This is located inside the Full Calculations section.
We have also worked on many other tweaks, but these are the major updates. We really do appreciate the community support. Every piece of information helps us move the site forward.
yeah...this tool is useless. according to it my optimal is MP2. too bad I'm doing MP8 with some difficulties and MP7 on farm

I find the tool to have some use, especially in regard to my HC char. It rates my Self-found HC WD @ MP2. ....right on the money. Anymore than that and I'm pushing it.

Our goal at DiaBro3 is to show you the "MOST EFFICIENT" mp level to farm. For many people, efficiency is not reached very quickly until you have better gear, and ideally high dps. 56k damage on a monk is very, very low. I know you may farm at a higher mp and this is completely up to you, your defensive stats allow this to be the case, but that in no way makes it efficient. Our tool is designed to guide players to a more efficient path. The game is yours to play as you will, we have no desire to change how you want to play.
Make the site remember my last entered search term ( battle ID and region ), simply by a web browser cookie.
If you bookmark our page while you are on the character you want to see, it will save the information needed to pull that character up again from that bookmark. I hope this helps 8).

We have been working very hard behind the scenes, we've opened up our audience to Korea and Taiwan.
We do have other improvements we would like to make, there is always room for improvement on everything.
There was a question as to what our difficulty was meant to be... normal, nightmare, hell or inferno... it is inferno. We are focusing on level 60 characters who wish to find the most efficient Monster Power level to farm.
It has been pointed out a few times that people can tackle higher content than we suggest, this is fair, we aren't denying that you can do higher content, we are just showing you what content would be MOST efficient. If you are taking a long time to kill elites, it will not be efficient, if you are dying too often, it is not efficient... these combined factors will find your optimal mp level.
Not sure if people character's are being down-rated because of specs as well?
We are always trying to improve our website's accuracy. Could you possibly tell me what times your wife's monk gets on elites in solo play? How long does the average elite pack take her to kill?
This information would be useful, we are using builds to help determine our mp levels and it might be we may have overlooked something.
Diablofans is amazing, the community support we have received so far is, quite frankly, overwhelming.
No accurate because it does not take into account the build.
I am using the bell build (nirvana) and the dps of my echoeing fury on OH does not matter, i only needed the bonus crit damage and attack speed. The damage comes from MH.
In summary, it gives scores on each item gear but does not look at the overall build associated to that gear.
To say that the dps of an OH does not matter is not really true, if you had the same stats on an echoing fury with higher dps.. would you not want us to rate it higher? I understand your frustration with that particular item having less value in your mind, but it still has value in ours. We are actively improving the site on a dialy basis and will make sure to look at this aspect. We do look at builds. Thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention though, we appreciate all the help we can get.
Even though I have a better EF, the dps of the EF is not used because the WoL uses the MH. So yes for higher paper dps, but effective dps, it does not impact. Your calculations analysis should be modified based on the build.
This is basically a site with item score.
You are telling me you would prefer an EF with 1dps and 4000dps be rated equally on our website? I understand how it should impact the monster power level, but we are also interested in informing you of what level of items you have in an objective manner.
We are very grateful for the information you have brought to our attention, and we understand and agree that we need to tinker with this area more. We hope we can make changes in the future that will take into account what you have brought to our attention.
