dev's don't even give a sh!t to fix the season conquest bug or fix the undoable - Kill belial on T13 in 45 seconds or less
honestly they will only announce next content patch "realms of evil" .
those realms that got datamined like 2-3 times in previous patches, "little bonus zones"
I still expect the game after that to be heavily unbalanced like it is right now. Monks do legit 3x more damage than dps barb.
how can number crunching be so bad. even in WoW where u have 5 times as many "specs" the difference is 30% from best to worst class at max.
but no fkn 200%
or like 3600% when twister wizard was destroying it. like how can u be sooo bad on balancing your own game
and they still did not wipe support classes from their game even after they said they're going to (like 1 year ago).
support classes destroyed that game for me. cant even play dps barb since 6 seasons anymore cause SUPPORT on a hack'n'slay game is a thing!
dps barb on the first 2 seasons? yeah- the one who was not allowed to wear XP gear and had to do the dirty work so others could reach paragon 2000 in his party. (get what? 280% more xp ?!) EVEN that took them like 1 year to fix - ONE WHOLE YEAR like ... w t f
IK set still 400% multiplier- that is season 3 garbage. It felt good this season to switch from IK to raekor because I instantly jumped 25GR tiers higher. NICE balance.
these developers are just mindblowing. honest opinion.
and yes those numbers I provided are all plaint true and accurate. I got rank 1 barb many many times and always played on the top of the ladder
Doubt it on the sheer principle that, if Blizzard releases a Diablo 4 right now, they're cannibalizing not only their own fanbase, but any and all potential profits in order to run two games (D3 and D4) with consistent updates to maintain their relevancy to the playerbases. There is nothing D4 can "fix" that an expansion cannot overhaul in its entirety based on the problems I've seen people complain about. Diablo 3 is still, technically, too current and too invested in for Blizzard to say, "Lets drop these X-million concurrent players and attempt to garner back the fewer million to come back."
Can't be Diablo 4, not enough time, although I wish it was.
More than likely expansion #2 for Diablo 3. The leaked product slate back from 2011 hasn't been wrong yet, besides the timing of the dates.
Also could be D2 remastered, but also unlikely, because there has been no word of it. Only word of SC remastered.
Keeping my hopes up thinking maybe the developers haven't leaked/mentioned anything is due to the fact that they truly believe in whatever expansion #2 brings, will be a huge positive turn around for the franchise.
They have to have something to please the Diablo fans this year after the high expectations last year but the no show in the end. If its a no show again, then they will lose their entire Diablo fanbase without a doubt this time.
It is going to be a second expansion "Realms of Evil." There is a lot that can be done with the roughly 12 pages in the "Book of Cain" in the two chapters "The Dawn" and "The Burning Hells."

I'm not sure if expansion could fix Diablo 3 core issues so that's why I would prefer Diablo4.They would have to revamp skill system, itemization, paragon levels. Not impossible but a lot of work. Personally, I wouldn't mind return back to old school D2.
While I enjoy D3, I too think it's too difficult to fix all the core problems and crappy coding with an expansion compared to just starting over.
I'm digging a hole for my expectation bar for Blizzcon, but in an ideal world I'd love to see a fully remade Diablo 1. More classes, one deep, terrifying map (because let's face it everyone just plays Act I anyway, or prays for zombies in rifts.) A decent talent/skill system that involves choices and not "which set does Blizz want me to play." Fewer, tougher enemies that require strategy, with smaller adds for aoe fun. Random spawns on levels to add actual variety.
Move leaderboards to something controllable like uber boss fights, and let the random adventure part actually be randomly changing.
Bare minimum, we're getting a patch with some new features, as they have a qa to talk about new features. Unless it's a red herring for something bigger, but my expectation is just a patch.
I don't think we'll see an expansion for this game, it doesn't fit their monetization model (anymore. You can see their model shifted sometime around hearthstone). A sequel, sure, but not an expansion unless they can monetize it, but I don't think they will it seems more work than its worth. Along these lines, we may or may not see d4 at blizzcon, but I'm sure it's coming.
I love how many speculation videos we had this few weeks talking about D4 or D2HD being announced at Blizzcon. Let's just bring the hype on absolute nothing.
I understand there is a huge lack of news but between job openings, d4 dice and realms of evil, the updates have reached conspiracy quality... It will not help the few left that are really hoping for something great in the near future.

Looks like the iframe was fixed. I can now successfully view the video without disabling ad-block. To be honest I temporarily disabled ad-blocked with the intent of leaving it off for this site, but.... WOW I had no idea that the entire site's background becomes one giant ad. It doesn't even look like a Diablo site at first glance. I've become so used to the pitch-black background I see with ad-block that I thought it was just a design decision (looks more D2 themed).
I'm not sure I'd want a Diablo 4. Honestly, I'm not sure I'd even want a Diablo 2 HD release because they'd probably find a way to break it too. Removing the battle.net lobby, removing stats, reworking Gheed, 'balance' skills and kill trading are some of the things I suspect and fear will be thrown under the bus in order to fit the mmo-theme which has poisoned the very core of Diablo 3.
If all this hype and mystery is to announce another expansion pack, I'll roll my eyes even if it comes with a Necromancer or, to a lesser extent, Druid but seeing as how they're unable to balance anything now I doubt they want to strain the developer any more than he is.

While i'am sure we'll eventually see a D4 and pretty certain that's what Tom Chilton left WoW to work on, what we'll see at this Blizzcon is the optimized re-release of D1 and 2(along with old school Warcraft and Starcraft) like the blue post hinted a few months ago. It is the 20 year anniversary of D1 after all.

That's not how it works, in any industry, ever.
Why would they run both D3 and D4? That makes no sense whatsoever. What "profits" are they making from D3 at the moment?
