Ok so I was looking through some images and I came across the "nude" fem barb. I looked at her in sections trying to figure out why she was so unattractive when I noticed her proportions were off slightly so i took a crack a shooping her to pretty her up, here are the results.
Shes not going to win any beauty contests but I wouldn't mind receiving "death by snoo snoo" anymore
Not sure if it was on purpose or not but her breasts shouldn't have been that far down
Edit: I might have made them a smidge bigger as well but whos counting
Well, big broad-shouldered chicks have nasty saggy boobs, so I think it was intended. She's a barbarian, not a super model. Why any guy would want to play her, I have no clue, but it is what it is.
I think it has to do with the political correctness nonsense which has been seen with fat Barbie etc. Basically, Bliz couldn't make the Barbarian the only class without a female counterpart for fear of being labeled sexist; so here we have a pointless waste of coding as a reminder of how screwed up our social priorities are.
fixing the image in no way makes her super hot, I like that shes rugged shes supposed to be but at least make her proportionate. shes a girl and im sure she wants to look her best while smashing face. all I did was give her a better bra essentially and it made a massive improvement
Edit: saggy boobs don't have cleavage that nice, the character model is wrong either way you look at it. if you give her nice cleavage(as blizzard did) put the breasts in the appropriate place -or- don't give her nice cleavage and it will look more natural
What's the difference in the picture? Anyway who the heck cares? The only time I'll see my heroine (let's say I play a female) semi naked is the first few hours of the game till I get her gears. So if you're some kind of pervert who'll strip your heroine more than you're supposed to is just sick and needs to get a girlfriend.

I love all loot fest kind of game! I will be playing all of them for the next few years. Loot fest games I'm looking forward to: LotR: War in the North,Torchlight 2,Borderlands 2 and of course Diablo 3.

Now this post is all kinds of sexist. What your implying is that since this character isn't "attractive" in the modern sense that she needs to be "fixed up". That is utter BS... so whenever you see an ugly girl in life you immediately judge her for being not good enough. This is oppressing women to being that they all have to be hot, thin and basically like super-models to receive any recognition.
The point is, this female bard is NOT meant to look good... she is suppose to suit her environment, so by being a barbarian, her look is doing that nicely. You don't get hot looking girls fighting the demons of hell - you've watched to many movies.
(Sorry if this was not your intention, but you really need to think before you post this kind of garbage.)

If you can't see a difference you are blind. The breast height is also reflected in the armor itself and like I said it looks disproportionate. I only bring it up because there was quite a large controversy over the attractiveness of the fem barb. But by all means troll away.

I guess I'm sorry that you misunderstood the intentions of the post but it has nothing to do with women at all it has to do with the art of the model. It is disproportionate. The model is clothed so its safe to say that in her natural environment she would be clothed. If you look in tribal societies only women who don't wear tops and are older have breasts at the height of the model. The natural breasts of a woman her age wouldn't be where they are nor have the cleavage she does at their current height. When drawing the basic human form it is approximately 7 heads tall. That's how to develop basic proportions. under the chin you measure down another heads length and that is about the height of the areola. the original model is almost 1.75 heads down. So before you go start picking fights make sure you understand the intentions of the post.

Everyone has their own view of what is attractive and what isn't and it isn't (of course in my opinion) sexist whatsoever to think ONE look is more attractive than the OTHER. The real oppression comes from the oppression of free thought, telling individuals what they are attracted to is wrong.
Edit: I forgot to say, if you think this is garbage then you don't frequent the forums much on here. There's plenty of pointless useless garbage strewn across the forums each and every day. Of course, once again, this is my opinion as much as it is yours that his post is garbage to begin with.

Female Monk, Female Wizard and Female Demonhunter.
Fair enough.
However, your last sentence proves my point on watching too many movies, as characters such as the female monk, wizard and demonhunter most probably won't look the way they are if they have been fighting the demons of hell. But aye.
Btw, that witty little remark underneath your submission of the "prettied up" model is what caused me to see how sexist your post was and still is. Also, making the model thinner and plasticizing her breasts also leads to sexism. If you have not seen female body builders before, their breasts to tend to sag so in fact the original model is far more accurate then your "fixed up" version.
I suggest you do a little research before trying to fix something that doesn't need any fixing.

This is in no way a comment on your photoshop skills (which I am sure well outweigh mine), but it appears to me that the only difference here between the two pics is that the one on the left is wearing a push-up bra and the one on the right is not.
I'm sure if you look at real world women (note: not ones with breast implants) that their breasts will do exactly the same thing depending on the type of bra they are wearing.

Why should those 3 characters be "pretty" and not the barb? go cry to blizzard for being sexist not me.
I didn't make the model thinner or taller the only modification I did was the height of the breasts and made them a tiny bit bigger to suite her frame. My edit to the model has breasts slightly sagging to account for her "tube top" thing Also even saggy breasts are relatively close to the appropriate proportional height and start in the appropriate area. If breasts are sagging you don't get perky cleavage which the original model has. The models breasts start nearly half a foot lower if you scale it to real life. Go look again at your research. female body builders have large pectoral muscles clearly visible, which the female barb does not so please before you think you are smart double check your "research". The model is wrong which was my point of the post. I guess I could have used different words in my original post because the laws clearly state I don't have the right of free speech.... oh wait I DO....

breasts sag yes I agree but breasts don't start nearly 6 inches too low and have amazing perfect cleavage. I was merely putting them in the correct spot they would have to be for the type of cleavage they have.
I think realism doesn't need to interrupt your imagination.
I completely agree. But in this case it is about consistency. all the other character models are realistic to the human form. So why is this one different? If its the case that everything is unrealistic I think she should look like a fat viking lady with G cup breasts.
I never would have thought I'd be posting on the DFans about breasts, but today has already started off weird so I'll just go with it.
IMO, both images are wrong. Blizzard have the curve of the cleavage wrong for the breast size. The low position isn't too bad, but there shouldn't be the arc to the cleavage, it should appear as more of a straight line, or at most, a slight Y at the top of a line.
Try to ignore the perverted strangeness, but imagine the top wasn't there, the breasts weren't supported and weren't pushed together. Due to the arc of the cleavage shown, in either of those pictures her breasts are going to be too far apart.
For the altered push up bra picture, that just makes her boobs look smaller, fake and the cleavage all the more weirder. Her breasts also seem to start off too high. If they were this high, they would still need the same lack of arc mentioned before and more of a Y shape.
Of course, as others said, she'll be wearing heavy armour to cover up with most of the time anyway.
In terms of the overall model though, I like that they didn't make her super skinny and athletic muscular etc. I think she fits well for the class and I'll likely make a female barbarian for HC and see how she does.
You are absolutely right. The cleavage is the issue. I saw the cleavage and raised the height to accommodate. It doesn't look Natural either way but the edit looks quite a bit more realistic. As for the armor comment that Isn't correct either because most of the armor has been made to be form fitting to her chest so it looks like her breasts are in her stomach.
