Heyas, I created this gem because i think it would be a really worthy addition to the game, and i don't think it would be that game breaking.
The Armor would raise just like life on hit on amethyst per gem tier
The Crit would raise 0,25% per gem tier
The All resist would raise at half the normal stats rate per gem tier
What do you guys think? worthy addition or gamebreaking?

Well the all resist is like that for scalling purposes from other gems and so it does not become the mandatory gem,
if it had more crit or more all resist everyone would use sapphires, and the idea is more diversity ^^
thanks for the fast feedback btw.

A gem that gives +all res might allows us to actually slots to compensate for lack of resistances in some gear pieces. I kinda like the idea. It could be something like +50 max. Not much more though, imho.
Armor on weapon is an interesting idea, but I don't think anyone would use it on weapons as long as crit dmg is as powerful as it is. 600 LoH would be infinitely superior to 600 armor as well.
Crit chance on Helm is a bad idea imo though. Paired with decent crit dmg it would equal an insane amount of dps boost, and gem Helms should keep their utility/defensive boost theme.
All res should be +50.
Crit on helm is nice, but I reckon most people would still use exp or life% gems, at least until paragon 100, which is quite some time.
Armor on weapon seems nice, would never use it though.
I still wish that they would implement some kind of gem mixing cube thingy. For instance, on my monk, I would definitely drop some %exp from my ruby to have some kind of ruby+amethyst combination that gives something like 20% exp and 8% life.
First off thank you for the positive feedback,
OT: i gave some thought to it and armor would be nice for a dual wield to compensate lack of shield, but i agree it could be a little higher per gem, like 1000, one would lose block but get 2k armor instead, paired with some LS weps and LOH jewelry could make a good alternative to the standard we now have.
@Sexton i really like that concept also, where you could for example mix a 50 int and 50 vit gem into a 25 of both, would be definatly interesting.

I would propose you swap the armor and crit chance placement so the crit chance is with the weapon while the armor is with the helm.
I'd also like the resists to be about 30% higher than what they are now.
I think there should be sapphires and diamonds. They should do the following -
Sapphire - [weapons] chance to freeze on hit, [helm] skill cooldown reduction, [armor] crowd control reduction
Diamond - [weapons] block chance/parry, [helm] damage reduction (melee/ranged?), [armor] all resist (up to 60)
Sapphires focus on strategic decisions that would naturally arise from a gem that mirrors "cold" attributes.
Diamonds have the best, most global kinds of buff bonuses because they're the most precious gems. Diamonds are defense gems.
I have no idea what maximums to put to these, but I think they could all be balanced so they were neither game breaking nor preferred over existing gems for "obvious build" choices.
As others have stated, the resists are a bit low, but my question is why +armor for the weapon? I'm not saying it's a bad idea, just kind of random, as all the other gems have attributes that would normally appear on weapons. Perhaps switching the helm and weapon stats would make more sense?

Hmmm, I didn't even realize until you said something that diamonds are missing too
Maybe in 106 BLZ will upgrade gems and in 107 they will add in crafting slot on armor. 108 and 109 will be polishing these two new features. Then 110, PvP comes to you.

I can't beleive no ones mentioned Skulls yet... some life steal / resource regen would blow my mind. God I loved Skulls in D2.

Seems legit to me...

Current Radiant Stars give +58 primary stat, compared to +200 being the maximum you can get on a piece of armour*
So if you were going to put resist all on a gem, I'd scale that compared to the +80 resist all that is the current maximum for a piece of armour.
I think +23 resist all would be reasonable for a Radiant Star gem.
* leaving aside "special" slots, like shoulders being able to get +300 strength, helmets +300 int, etc.
