It most likely applies to the base drop chance so should be effective for all MF levels.
that's great, seems it is even more effective to legendary drop comparing with MF, since I found no matter how many MF I has, the legendary rate remains little...
I'll hold off judgement until it goes live and I have had a chance to mess with it. As it stands I have found 4, only 2 of which were level 60 or up, legendaries since D3 launched across all my characters (currently act 3 farming with 270 MF) in roughly 300 hours played total and 0 set items. Double the chance of .002 or whatever it is still only equates to .004 chance, but I won't complain if I get a green drop
One thing I can figure out is this. If drop rates are on the server (which they are), why can't they just apply these kinds of changes right away? Like, why do we have to wait a week for this crap?
Even if they double it, some players might still experience some bad luck + they might be low lvl paragon and little MF and will still complain they dont get uber gear every white mob they kill.
This is a good change imo because I do like full act 3 runs every day like 1 or 2 depending on mood and I rarely get legenderies, I've gotten some decent ones that sold for like 40 mil, bu tthen a big pause. And when you look at streamers who play all day, they buy an item worth 300mil have like 2 mil left and after a few hours of farming boom ( E.g. Inna's radiance with resist and phsyical selling for hundreds of millions ) .
Maybe that will shrinken the gap between players who play just the right amount but kinda unlucky and players who play non-stop.
The ones who play half an hour a day and complain go away.

Blizzard is doing well!!
I was really suprised reading that, they DOUBLED the shit out of it, not even a 1.2 or 1.5, literally doubed! That's HUGE! Amazing!
Yeah. They doubled it. From 0.0000003% chance to 0.0000006%. YESSS! ...
These were my thoughts exactly, as I posted in the news post. They should have increased it tenfold, and taken the bottom 10% off of all affix rolls. That'll make loot exciting.
Hardcore elitist-type gamers probably won't like this.
You'll definitely see tons of threads on the official forums with ignorant comments like "eff you Blizz, now everyone gets whatever they want and the set that I dropped isn't worth 200 mil, it's worth 5 mil - game's so easy even my grandma can play it".
For everyone else? That's fucking amazing hopefully doubling it actually means something and I'll start seeing some legendaries/sets (and plans) on my own, without resorting to the AH. Worst case scenario it's not a noticeable change and they'll have to double it another 2-3 times for us to notice
Since all of mine sucked....

Crusader DPS and EHP Spreadsheet, meant for Crusaders

....what?
its a base drop rate increase..(i.e. 1.04 droprate of 0.02% is now! 0.04% !!!!! ) I'm not going to get into how MF works...but Google is out there.
Because that would be too easy, and logical.
