I made some updates to the spreadsheet for the latest patch and added a first attempt at firebird dot calculation. It's mostly meant for a rough comparison between gear sets as the actual value should be higher in game due to legendary gems and strongarm bracers. Please let me know if there are any errors.

While CC and CD might give you more dps, don't forget that Int also gives some AR. If I dropped 450 Int, I'd take about 2.5% more damage from all sources, for about a 2-4% dps gain. You might still prefer the dps, but it's something worth considering.

I'm working on some updates for the spreadsheet. I'm not sure why it's not displaying, but I hope to sort it out later this week.

I tried for a little while to get a toughness formula but in the end couldn't figure out what the weights are for melee, ranged, and elite. It could probably be done with some sort of fit analysis, if you wanted ideas on how to find the correct formula.

I just spent a few minutes comparing your spreadsheet results to mine, and it looks like it works pretty well, but I noticed the following:

    • The green cells in the Gear Comparison tab use the Equipped Calculations data.
    • The elite damage reduction does not appear to work properly. If I put 10 in on set, it shows as 1000%.
    • Also, each source of elite damage reduction works as its own multiplicative damage reduction, similar to CDR and CR.

I noticed you changed the damage reduction formulas to account for a lvl 70 mob, whereas I have it as lvl 73. That will get the toughness value to match, but do you have any indication of what the actual mob levels are? I have no idea for sure so I just left it as 3+max level.

My only other comment is that if you want to report toughness, as the cells are described, then I recommend using the actual formula for toughness, which will include elite, melee, and ranged damage reduction, in addition to the averaged resists, in some manner. As it stands, the spreadsheet calculates some resist averaged EHP, so stating Toughness and Elite Toughness is a little misleading.

Yes, I've been in contact with Maikyl, and said I was fine with the attempt to release a version of the spreadsheet for the crusader. I just happened to have been working on mine last weekend, but ran out of time and wasn't able to publish it until this weekend, so the timing is just fairly coincidental. I think our ideas are just slightly different and Maikyl plans to add some things I'm not expecting to include.

Personally, I don't mind if someone wants to make something similar to my spreadsheet with whatever differences they prefer. It does take a bit of work to maintain, especially when patches come around, but I don't see anything wrong with sharing a variant of the spreadsheet if it has features that are new or different from mine.

If you do want to maintain and work on a spreadsheet, I recommend working out the bugs using your character in game. Armory profiles won't really help because they don't always show accurate gear stats, and it's just easier to equip gear yourself to troubleshoot the calculations.

Yes, I overlooked CDR from gear for now, but I can add that pretty easily. In the mean time you can just put it into one of the gear slots as a workaround, just only use one cell per amount.

As for toughness, I don't really plan to do anything with the value. EHP is practically the same as toughness anyway, it just doesn't include other affixes like elite reduction and melee/ranged reduction. In the absence of those extra effects, EHP is the same as toughness (though it won't exactly match the in game value for a few reasons that aren't worth getting into unless people are really interested in specifics). In other words, trying to add some amount of toughness to reach some EHP is a bit redundant.

You can play with the extra fields a little and put in elite damage reduction and add some average of melee and ranged reduction to the elite reduction for a better indication of what your toughness would be.

Yes, I've been thinking about how to do that. For now I just put them in as socket bonuses as a workaround. If I have time this weekend I can add separate boxes like the elite damage ones for extra things like AR, life%, life regen, etc.

This is a Crusader DPS and EHP Spreadsheet I've been working on. It is based around the one I made with a wizard in mind, but adjusted for Crusaders. It should work for any class that is not dual wielding to an extent, though it currently does not support any class specific buffs or passives besides some of the Crusader ones. If you're having any issues with the spreadsheet please read the "Notes" tab to make sure you're entering the correct information.
In case there's any confusion, your Int, Vit, Str, DPS, HP, CC, CD, APS should exactly match the in game value (APS rounds to 2 decimals though). Your armor and lowest resist should match the in game values exactly, though they might differ by 1 due to rounding on the char sheet.

    Features:
The spreadsheet features the ability to input your total stats and weapon stats to compute your dps and EHP. There's also a separate tab where you can compare a secondgear set. The DPS value should match your in game Damage Number, provided all applicable stats are entered correctly. Additionally the spreadsheet computes relative dps gains for a range of dps stats and also reports those values in terms of comperable values of your primary stat, i.e., how many Primary stat points is 1%IAS worth, etc.

Here are some more specific features:

    1) Calculates unbuffed dps, char sheet buffed dps, and effective char sheet dps. Char sheet buffed dps is what you will see in game based on all your skills. The effective char sheet dps is what your buffed char sheet dps would be if it included all the bonuses for the skill you use (such as +Blessed Shield%) and elemental damage type (like +holy damage%).

    2) Paragon point table where you can input how many points you spent on each stat. The table also shows you the relative gain of a paragon point for each stat to your effective char sheet dps and your EHP.

    3) A second sheet allows you to compare two gear sets and displays the difference in EHP and DPS.

    4) Relative dps and EHP gains for each stat are shown (Primary, vit, crit%, etc.).

    5) A comparison of Marquise Ruby vs Emerald is shown for easy reference, or the gear comparison can be used to compare the different gems at higher levels. For most people Emerald will be much better now that weapon damage% has been drastically cut on new drops (used to go up to 50%, now it's like 10%, if that).

    Limitations and Workarounds
Does not compute toughness stat, and toughness is not the same as EHP. I have no plans to implement functionality to compute toughness.

The spreadsheet does not work well with weapons that have a base attack speed of 1.15 APS, or any other base APS not divisible by 0.1. The workaround currently is to set the 1.15 APS weapon to 1.15 APS in the spreadsheet, and put 15% IAS on the weapon IAS cell in column C. That tricks the spreadsheet into computing the correct IAS. If your weapon does have IAS, I'm still working on a solution.

If you have any issues downloading or using the spreadsheet, feel free to post here or send me a PM after you've read the Help tab.

    Planned Updates:

None, but I'm open to suggestions for updates, but currently do not plan to include the option to import your character from the blizz armory, mostly because I don't know how and the armor still doesn't quite seem to display values correctly for everything. If someone knows how toimport character stats and wants to add the functionality to the spreadsheet, let me know, or feel free to make your own variant of the spreadsheet.

I'm definitely open to suggestions for what to add. So far I just added the obvious buffs, mainly that I use. I haven't played my crusader much at all though. I can also add a CDR row.

Yeah, something looks a little off. Here's the preliminary version of mine

It still needs a couple tweaks, but if you want to use it to try and fix yours, feel free. I'll probably post itin a separate thread later over the weekend.

    Minor Change:

Updated APS calculation to account for change in Enchantress contribution. Recent patch changed it from +0.03 APS to +3% IAS. Thanks to DeiExMachina for pointing out the undocumented change.
