SO. Super stoked for Blizzcon. I'm curious to see what people think will be announced at Blizzcon regarding D3, whether whole new systems / tweaks ect. Some / most of these are probably not likely, but it's fun to speculate.
So far, I'd love to hear about;
Open-world mode.
PVP Arena.
Other new gems besides the diamond.
Socketable jewels
Runes!
Whether you Queue up for Loot Runs, or it's something you select in game.
What exactly Bounties are. Do you hunt a random spawn within your game? Are they dailies?
Scroll of companion! Cmon Blizz! Do itttttt!
How much the Pandemonium Fortress takes up of Act V.
Since we are dealing with Death here, any chance at seeing Cain / Leah again?
Also, and chances at seeing any old bosses? (I think Josh said maybe in an interview)
New class skills / passives / runes. So stoked for these =)
Any *new* item affixes? Such as the DPS ones they were talking about?
New champ pack affixes! So far we've heard of 'crossfire' but not what it does.
One interview said the reward from NT will be resplendent chests. They must be upgraded!
They keep saying 'random weather' for loot runs. Is this just lighting, or random AOE effects?
Do we need a piece of gear to xmog every time? Or once it's 'unlocked' it stays unlocked?
A new secret level?!
I'll think of more later. If anyone has any info on these please chime in =P Or feel free to add your own speculation!
Runes are already done in the form of runes for skills, so I don't think we will ever see those. They've pretty much answered in this way about every interview about runes I've ever seen. Maybe if they call them something else, I don't know, possibly.
PVP (outside of brawling) will most likely not be in reaper of souls. I bet my life on it. All evidence points to the fact that they have no idea where to go with this as of yet and they aren't going to implement it until an actual good way to do it has been fleshed out and resolved. Judging from the interviews of RoS that I've seen, Josh keeps shrugging off PVP questions, as if they can't wait to figure out a good way to do it right and tell us all the good news, but there's just nothing there to tell. They probably want to accomplish more things they actually think they can do right, then focus all this attention on a PVP they might not be able to do right, and still have nothing to show for it. Not to mention, they want to fix PVE first before PVP, because that's the core emphasis of the game.
If they don't give an ETA on loot 2.0, I don't care at all what the fuck they have to say.
This game is hemorrhaging players, and most of them are leaving due to poor itemization....now a full 367 days since their last half-hearted attempt at correcting loot via 1.04, which launched on August 21st 2012, one year exactly prior to the Gamescom RoS announcement.
16 months of bad itemization is just disgusting, and they seem to be carefree in regard to correcting it in a timely manner.

Ruksak I'm always surprised by you. On one hand you offer insightful opinions on topics, and on the other hand you spout provably false statements that have no credibility or backing.
The game is not hemorrhaging players. Just a couple months ago, one the 1 year anniversary (or close to it) they showed that D3 is still one of the most played games out there, with MILLIONS of players a month, which is far better than the overwhelming majority of video games.
Have people left because of the bad itemization? Of course. I've personally cut down my play time to just farming paragon when I get the chance, because it's not worth it to farm items. But don't strut around injecting your own personal dislikes as if they are wide spread fact.
Also, this thread was just something fun to speculate what they might talk about as far as 'the huge amount of announcements' they have, since they've said a couple times now Gamescon was just 'the tip of the iceberg' when it came to RoS.
I can't wait for the skill and rune changes. Hopefully they talk about whether they will change/improve the current skills as well as their runes.
I'm excited to see the new abilities they come up with for the classes. Hopefully they're not just idea's sprung from the classes in WoW. That's not me saying a lot of the abilities in the game at the moment are like the ones you'd find in WoW, I'm just saying, with the similarities of the classes between the two games it must be pretty hard to come up with new abilities while making sure they're not considered "taken from WoW"
I'd like to hear about how or if they're going to work on certain weapon and armor stats being a lot better than others. So if it's still going to be "Let's just ignore everything that doesn't have CD, CC, and our main stat" or if we're actually going to want to potentially use all the rares we find.

Bashiok - Blizzard Representative - 08/01/2011 -"So how many skill combinations are there now? Well taking into account 6 active skills, all the rune combinations, and 3 passives we currently expect each class to have roughly 2,285,814,795,264 different build combinations."
"Hey, I thought you'd like the witty irony of grub-on-glowie violence!"

All I know is what I see. My F/L is hemorrhaging, and has been since 1.08 launched 4 months ago (a patch that many believed would address itemization).
@ruksak: Your friends list isn't public, we can't see that.
@OP: No idea, but I like surprises, so I'll just wait. One thing I actually don't want to know more about is the lore. For example, will we fight one of the "old" bosses? Will Leah/Cain come back? Why the hell should they spoiler the entire story at Blizzcon. If they do, I hope it'll all be in hidden in discussions and announcements as "spoiler". I want to enjoy the first playthrough of act 5 and not know every detail about it...

Didn't realize. It doesn't matter. I was acting like a fuckin girl about it so I edited my post out. No reason to piss on the parade. Just have a lot of passion about this franchise and it's such a waste the way things are in limbo. Speculation has worn me down, we've done it to death since launch. I want some action taken.
We know for sure now that there won't be a second class, and it's pretty safe to assume that PvP is not part of Blizzcon's feature (it might even not be part of the x-pac). I also don't think they'll reveal all bosses/areas (Blizzard doesn't do spoilers like that, remember that the beta went to level 13 only to avoid revealing anymore content).
I think we'll see more details about crafting and transmog, maybe some more details about gems (I hope diamond is not the only new gem and they change the existing gems a bit), and details on loot runs and Neph Trials. I'd be surprised if they have real "new" stuff.
I mostly hope they'll answer my 2 main questions left: 1) will there be an option to skip the freaking cut scenes and 2) will there be an option to quickly switch gear/specs. Once all the items and skills are balanced, these would be my two main "concerns". (In addition to a self-found mode which is pretty much off the table for now with the addition of more BoA.)

I don't know, Bags. Josh seemed to brim with excitement. He seemed to be crawling out of his skin wishing he could just spill his guts. When asked in that "Yes/No" interview "Will there be much more to reveal at Blizzcon".....he emphatically slammed his hands together over his head 3 times repeating "YES YES YES".
I seriously doubt he'd paint himself in a corner like that knowing there wasn't much to reveal.
I think it is basically confirmed that magic find is being totally re-worked in RoS, so probably we can expect some news about that. Also after Josh Mosqueira interview with KingKongor I am fairly positive that there will be a new difficulty and its also being announced at Blizzcon.
Yea I'm expecting at least some new MP levels.
As far as MF goes, whats his face read through all the attributes we can upgrade with paragon points and MF / GF wasn't one of them, leading me to believe the values will stay the same. Whether or not we reach max MF at Plvl100 still is another question.

I really really really sincerely hope they lower the overall MF cap. Remember that example in the video? You'll get 6 legendaries per average act 3 MP10 playthrough as compared to 1 right now. So on average about 6 times more legendaries. Right now, the MF cap is 680, which means a capped player gets 6 times more legendaries than a single player at paragon 0 and no MF equipped. However, the capped player probably also has higher DPS and kills mobs three times as fast (and that's very very very conservative). Which means the high-end player will get 20x more legendaries.
This is just too much difference. While the high-end players will find more than hundreds of legendaries after a week of intense farming (~50 hours) it'll take casual players one or two months to play that much and in the end they'll get only 5% of the amount of these legendaries, which is one per week or so. That's just insane. The noobs will complain about never seeing these promised build-changing legendaries, while the pros are bored after a couple of months. Therefore... I hope the fixed MF cap is 200-300 or so, at most. The number of drops should be controlled by killspeed, not one arbitrary stat.
I dare to speak it out but... imho, it'd be best for the game if MF was removed completely.

It's just not gonna happen until 2015+ I wager.

That's how I personally feel about that statement, at least.
