@vegasrage She should have kept vampirism. There have been lots of ways found to play Skyrim, but I haven't heard of a vampiric woodcutter. "I have come... to chop... your wood. Hahahahahaha!"
I understand about the house thing. Collecting and decorating homes was good motivation in Skyrim, though, sometimes things wouldn't stay where they were supposed to be. I was a stealthy illusionist archer rogue, and I would sneak around people's homes looking for decor to steal sometimes. I never cheated by looking up anything online to help me with Skyrim, except the house list. Since my character wasa bit of a dark character, I joined the Stormcloaks so I could get Hjerim as my first home. Then I decided it was drab and hit he military campaign hard, so I could try Proudspire, because once you are a Stormcloak, you can't buy proudspire until the war is over.
As for combat, I can see how someone could not have an interest in it. The system is a bit clunky. It feels like playing a mid 90's vintage first person shooter at times. That's my most hated style of game, so it took some time to get used to it.
As for the House thing, the Sims suggestions was a good one. I've not played the third, but I loved the second. I had a giant Cinderella Castle that used the maximum ammount of materials it would let me use on a full sized lot. There was a pool, and spire's and a giant wall all around it with parapets, and open court yards full of trees. The computer I had at the time could barely handle rendering that block. LOL
@succubus_queen thanks for explaining the logic there, it will make her feel more normal to know others understand her LOL! I think the SIMS is on the list of things to get her.
It couldn't have come at a worse time too, bought a house, have student debt, financing a vehicle and paying for a wedding. I need D3 to distract my worries. On the bright side I didn't murder anyone this morning!
Isn't that the way it usually works? It probably won't make you feel any better but I hear you, the company I work at that got bought out transferred our vesting stock into the new company. Since they bought us a few months ago, the acquiring companies stock has dropped 27%. I've lost many tens of thousands in my total portfolio and I need to sell it regularly as it vests to pay for the house I'm trying to buy right now. I'm fairly pissed off about that.
Kind of reminds me of 2001 when the dot com's all crashed and I watched $3.5 million piddle away to a paltry $26,800 before I could sell my preferred stock. Feels like Déjà vu.

Hehe root beer, hi succubus!!!
Well just found it she still has her job, so yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That sucks about the stock, is this employee shares or you invested privately? I tend to stay away from stocks, too much like a full time job to make it worthwhile. Mutual funds at 5-10% is fine enough for me. You're in Vegas, just sell you soul

I don't completely understand. As clunky as the fighting system is, I still think it is more fun than chopping wood, and a much faster way to afford housing.
@Slayerviper I'm glad she still has her job. I don't know how thigns are up there, but if it's at all like here, it's a very rough time to be looking for work.

It's actually not too bad here, because of oil it keeps the province running pretty well. The main issue is she wouldn't find any similar job with the same pay since she has no education in that field. It's just a time in my life were really dependent on each others income. In a couple of years I'll be making significantly more and we'll have most of our debts paid off (except mortgage) which would free up almost $1000 a month.

I can identify with that. I didn't actually finish my degree in what I'm doing right now, and if I hit the job market, work experiene would be all I have to prove I have a clue what I'm doing. I actually need to move soon, and finding work is going to be a challenge.
Sounds like if you hang in there a little longer things will get better. $1000 a month is pretty good breathing room.
Woo hoo! Glad to hear she still has the job! Awesome!
Yeah it's preferred stock I have in a company that is part of my compensation. When they sold, 20% of my shares were vested and cashed out at the agreed upon price that was very good! 80% of my stock however is still vesting under the acquiring company which is publicly traded. I also don't think the stock market is a great place to be right now, so I'm cashing out as often as I can within the trading windows I'm allowed to trade in every two months.

Long story short your screwed and they won't even let you cash out as frequently as you want.. sad Employee stocks are a good idea but I didn't even think of back firing scenarios like this in school... damn that would have been a good case to make in class, oh well. Must be a bunch of unhappy peeps there, stock will drop even more!!!! Did you have the option to cash out from the start?
@succubus
Have you watched lost girl... can I just call you Bo, it's easier to type than succubus I'm in a similar situation I have a degree but no professional accreditation so even I'm limited with a degree and 5+ years experience. Stupid credential creep... I remember the days where you could be a janitor and not require a high school diploma!

It's the SEC's rules, when you have publicly traded stocks it's considered insider trading so you are given windows where you are allowed to buy or sell stocks in the company you work at. So basically I have a certain number of stocks vest every month I am allowed to exercise inside those trading windows. Unfortunately the company that bought us missed their numbers by just a very tiny bit, but it has caused the stock to drop by quite a bit. Although in the scheme of life I can't bitch because there are a lot of people out there who don't have any equity in their company.
Mine isn't that good. I'll get a song in my head and my MP3 player or the radio starts playing that tune, the only other one I can normally do is "know" when a goal is scored in a sport before it happens (and before it becomes obvious as the play unfolds). That's the extent of it, maybe I just know you well enough on here I figured you would like it hahaha.
@Vegas
Yah I don't keep up to date on SOC, we have different rules here anyways. Funny how I hate the accounting world and memorizing 5 billions rules yet I work in it.

That may be another option for my wife Venom, but she is happy doing her thing in Skyrim for now. She actually mustered the courage to leave town today and killed her first dragon and was ecstatic!
An ex mod who became a paraplegic has been added to dolan comics. Some epic funny ones. (Ps. the guys a c unt and copped it on the chin so its not in bad taste).
Also I like the Sims... I like to build fancy houses and then find some way for people to die horribly in them.
Lmao that's the only reason I every played the sims; Take hours to build huge awesome houses (and type rosebud 4 fucking million times) and then get bored, trap them in a small square room and put the speed to fastest =D
Oh that and take away the shower while they were showering. (was it just me that noticed the devs put in coloring like pubes on their sims? )
