This is my first video I used no editing at all I just wanted to show you how fun this spec can be so don't expect much flash ;p. I have been doing Cydea + Azmo for a while now I find it much better for loot than siegebreaker runs!
I got terrible champ packs and an unlucky run but this is how it a lot of times. I recorded this on the first try and did the commentary while playing (I am so so so sorry!). I am happy with the result, it has suggestions, tips, strategy, and of course female barb dying sounds! I hope you enjoy it and in turn inspires you to try 2h also, viva la revolution fight the sword and board oppression!
That axe... and 63m still in the bank... I don't have enough time to compete if that's what it takes. Kudos sir, nice barb. I'll be playing mine again once I find enough gear to go 2h, I'm not a fan of sword & board.
Fantastic video, thanks for sharing. However, between you and my 38k health with 600 resists and 10k DPS, there is a whole world of 100 million to go... hehe =)

Yeah there is quite a gear gap :(. You can pick up a 1400ish 2h with decent stats for about 1/20th what I paid for mine. I wish you luck though!

Did you start off as a 2H from the very beginning? If so, do you mind giving some of us some tips that are just starting
No I started off sword/boarding and when my survivability got high enough I started switching in DPS items until I had around 35k DPS with sword/board. After that I waited until I saw a 2h I wanted and snatched it up!
For example, what do you think is a comfortable amount of HP/Resistance/DPS to complete Act 1 and/or Act 2?
With a 2 hander? Most likely 900 all resists with shout and 7k armor, with a shield you can do it with less. It is important to note that my survivability was not gimped in the video I had 1000-1100 resist all and 42k hp. The mobs just hit for ALOT without a shield to mitigate!
Also, how the heck did you manage to fund all that stuff? There's no way it was from farming Act 1 or Act 2!
Auction house, Auction house, Auction house! That is where most of my gear came from. I have not found myself a single upgrade, I have however been gifted a few by friends. I have been farming act 3 for 3 weeks now or so. I find, sell items I cannot use and then rebuy upgrades for myself. It is also important to note that I have received a lot of my items and a lot of what I found have gone to the other people I play with. It is nice to have friends :)!
To put it in perspective on how uch this will cost. There isn't a 2hander up for 70 million within 100 damage of yours. You are looking to spend at least 70 million on the weapon alone and wait about a week or more to hope one that good is even on the AH. Although I have not seen one above 1600 dps since the RMAH came out.
So maybe its better to stay shield/sword until you can finally fund all of this.
I would say that really depends on your sword/shield and your gear built around it. At one point I had 10k dps a string/ss/lantern and helm of command and I slowly started moving away from that until I thought I was comfortable with my gear being used for going 2h. I then went all in and bought a weapon and haven't looked back!
My real question is... how much of a difference does a weapon make?
I have 28k dps using a lame blue 2H axe (1056.1 dps, +19% damage). If I were to buy a 1300 dps axe (with IAS), would it literally add like 20k dps?
To put this in perspective I went from 35k DPS with a 950 1h with about equal str as the 2h I equipped, to having over 70k DPS when I equipped the 1700 dps 2h and switched around my passives!
I really appreciate you posting and sharing all of this info btw, thanks!
I feel like I am (or was in your case) in the same boat as you. Currently I am a sword/board spec, 14k dps, 10k armor, 63k hp, 1200+ All Resists.. and it just sucks! All my friends kill Siegebreaker/Azmodan in seconds and it takes me at least an hour to get 5 stacks and get to that point. I might just go all in and do what you did
Another question though (sorry for being annoying with all of these too) but is it really necessary to have 1000-1100 All Resists when your dps is that high? (I think I calculated your gear to have 788 All Resist based on the first video.) I feel like when you get to the point you're at, you only need about 600-700 because most of those demons wouldn't stand a chance with Pain/Zerk/Quake up!
But you would still need to replace the lost EHP from the AR so 600-700 resists but a buttload more life would be good, otherwise imho you will get creamed.

It isn't an annoyance I am happy to answer your questions! But yes the survivability is quite necessary because you need to survive long enough to press 3 2 1 and also trash will sometimes hit you especially range. I have between 850-1050 resist with shout, the 1050 being physical which I pair with fire as being the most important. If I was running with 600-700 resistance I am sure I would die more. Also that said I have dropped all resistance in some slots like helm but I plan on getting those back asap. High armor on items is also essential to being 2h because the 10:1 armor resist ratio is much harder to achieve without a shield or armor passives.
Your first videos? These are actually really well done and you should consider doing some more!
Yeah it really was my first video I went through 3 programs trying to combine my 3 minute fraps clips. 3 hours later I finally did it! I uploaded it to youtube and then it told me it was too long... so I gave up for the night and found the willpower to persevere the next morning lol :).
And thanks for the compliment it really means a lot!

The bloodthirst is personal preference imo. Some might want armor instead.

Probably a good 130 million in gear you have,.
