I'm getting close to paragon 100 with my monk and I've been mulling over what to do next. I've been tossing around the idea of a CM wizard but the melee lure of a barb tips the scales. With that in mind, I'm looking for what is good for paragon leveling and farming (mid to upper MP's).
A while back it was the WW build but I've been seeing some things on Weapon Throw and HotA builds. Is WW barbs still decent?
If I go for WW barb is it pretty much the same as it was before where I want as much CC then CD then IAS ?
What about the other builds?
More or less I'm looking at what kind and how much of particular stats I want to aim for. I got quite a large budget after some really good sells this last week and while I could use my entire stash of gold to upgrade just one item on my monk I want to branch out and have some fun.
I find rend/hota-thunderstrike easier than ww. Easier to keep up the fury. Best of all is surrounding monster stun for 3 seconds for every kill. Needless to say, if you get them together, they will not able to move while you smashing them.

cool! so just check out the forum guide for that one?
cold soj (and all other frost damage) adds a freezing (slowing) effect to your attacks, even your Run Like The Wind - Tornados, this way the mobs are stuck in the Tornados for longer and take more damage / die faster instead of running out of the Tornados range all the time if you dont slow em
WW still beats any other build in leveling speed, but there are many variants of it, and other builds are still very solid. I guess it depends on your playstyle in the end and since gearing is extremely similar for all barb builds, with few exceptions like specific SoJ and weapons, I'd suggest trying out different builds yourself and picking the one that fits you.
If you could describe your expectations or desires from a barb, you'd get a more specific advice
Good point, I didn't really say what I'm looking for play style wise.
I know right off the bat I'm not liking the flow of WT builds (tried a few already), and going to settle on either WW or HotA builds.
I like the huge numbers for HotA build, and for some reason it seems more tanking to me because of the stunning maybe.
On the other hand I'm still liking the WW because of all the action. although WW didn't seem as survivable as HotA, but I could have really low/bad gear. I'm looking at just replacing everything anyway as it was a 10m budget build about five months back.
Ok so now that I'm getting the hang of WW again (found out I was not moving enough in a circle to drop tornados) what should I be looking to make it a bit easier in MP10? Most packs I don't got a problem, but some like with pluged/molten + arcane are just destroying me.

Not being a dick but why do you want to play mp10 with your dps? What you need to do to survive mp10 is honestly up your damage considerably so lifesteal becomes a really efficient healing machine. In your position I would stick to lower monster power levels like mp5-7..here is my d3up http://d3up.com/b/315271and honestly I prefer to farm mp8 because I find mp10 to be too slow even at over 300k dps

All good, no dickery received ;p
Things feel more epic at MP10 but more so for keys have 100% drop chance. Although you're prolly right about doing a bit lower MP and just slap up some XP stuff.
Looked at your profile, and I'm not sure why your not doing mp10. Your DPS and EHP is like way higher than mine and the bonus xp and magic/gold find would be awesome. GZ on paragon 80 btw ;p only 20 more to go ;p
You are also using HotA build but almost the same stats I use, so I'm curious how much XP/hour you're getting?

The build that was on there was my ubers build, I resynced it with my farming build which is your typical WW. Its all good if you like mp10 for the feeling of monsters not just collapsing when touched, I was just thinking in terms of xp/hour. I farm with a really solid group and we do mp8 act 1 runs, each run takes less than an hour and I am getting about 2/3 of a level. We have done mp10 on various occasions but have found we just get way more xp per hour at mp8 or even mp7
Don't know how I missed it but I would alter your build slightly to get rid of overpower and replace it with HoTA smash rune. It works really well to take elite packs down really quick and then switch back to the WW spin for trash packs

The loss of the crit from OP is not that big of hit?
Watch Moldran's 100m / MP 10 budget barb guide. Although the price of the 300str/vit Skorn has risen quite a bit as a result of his publicity, it is still the most efficient xp/hr and legendary/hr build I've seen. It does take a little effort to get used to generating fury without Bash/Frenzy, but once you get the rhythm down, it is far faster than anything else, especially with all the new mob density changes.

~<3's thanks guys and gals ~_^

This is what I used. You can replace WC with other skill. Leap, Charge are good candidates.
I don't find sprint much use at higher MP.
You can also replace brawler with something of your choice
This was working out quite well even with out upgrading a single item.
Depending on price of SOJ for that, I might give it a shot and see how it feels to me. If not I can just always turn around and resell it ;p

Zuni boots are way cheaper and very good for dps. I have yet to see a pair of ice climbers that offer me better stats than zuni's
Yes Iceclibmers will provide more ehp, primarily from rolling Vit as well but high str, vit, ms, ice climbers are absurdly expensive.
Check my profile, giver.
