Not only is this awsome if you fit the requirements, but thinking game wise makes me believe that we are really close to final game.
***speculation***
the game mechanics and everything that blizzard could be happy with is done, (gameplay, feel, art, graphics etc.) Now they are starting to need some quests/side stories for the game.
**end speculation**
Just noticed this and figured I would spread the word to all you scripters of diablofans.
Nope. This game is not being made linearly. They work on everything at once. I'm pretty sure they said they'd only work on act 1 first to get the beginning of the story down then everything else would be done at the same time. But i have no doubt that they are nearing end of production.

Not even Death will save you from Diablo Bunny's Cuteness!
They have confirmed there will be expansions for SC2, D3 and WoW. So they have a long-term goal in mind for every game they produce, thus, there will most likely always be a need to hire more. I don't think this reflects the game's stage.
didn't think of it this way but i definitely agree with this. the storyline was done, or they wouldnt have had all the acts in production. this could be part of the end-game content they're planning, or even better, for the expansion plans. one way or another, we'll know much more about how fast Diablo III is progressing in a week (can't believe it's so soon).
on the ads for jobs for unannounced games i remember before Diablo III was announced they had job ops saying "The team behind Diablo and Diablo II is looking for etc etc". And more recently they only said "We're looking for X for our Next-Gen MMO".
Looking at the Career opportunity page on blizzard.com I found job openings for diablo 3 quest designers/scripters.

what cool quests can you think of?
or just some really cool things to run by.
I think finding some lore in tristram about the butcher would be pretty sweet to find.
