By truly I mean a perfect port. It seems someone leaked some info saying VALVE will release a console. This is why I feel this allows D3 to truly come to a console.
1. No licensing fee so GD's don't have to pay to make games on their console.
2. It's rumored to host Steam, possibly origin and other services... DING DING DING Battle.net 2.0 anyone?
3. It's basically a computer dedicated for games, rumored to be announced at either GDC next week or E3.
Now the reason this makes D3 on consoles so much more plausible is because it's simply allowing the players to use Battle.net on the valve box, which will then allow us to run Diablo and SC2 as perfect ports. Just add some feature for controller support, really only need analog control and aim, then allow us to keybind the buttons on a controller to those in game and viola you've got D3 on a console.. Could this be what the devs were talking about when they said they wanted D3 on a console? Xbox seems too unlikely because you have to pay to be online an play games with other people. And since that is what Diablo's all about I don't think Xbox is a viable option, Maybe PS3 but they'd have to partner with them for this and IDK if they wanna do that. Same with Nintendo. So to me this "valve box" is the most logical option and is seriously making me believe they have a shot at making D3 on consoles, and make it good.
I don't think i will be that unstable, It's just basically a PC that Disables all other windows applications besides gaming services such as Origin, Etc. I think It's a much more viable alternative too, I mean honestly it'd be a bitch towork out a deal with either Sony Microsoft or Nintendo. Maybe Nintendo will welcome it with open arms cause their systems are in the shitters these days, but the toher two might not be as willing to partake in a partnership and Microsoft sure as hell won't.

i have a pc to play steam games why would i buy a steam console to play games i can already play on my pc its a dumb idea and im pretty sure D3 will be on Ps3
Im not sure waht this valve box is? I havent heard of it nor is it in the works of actually being produced? idk but im all for D3 on the console but if this valve box is the only way does that mean we only get to play D3 after its been out for 2-3 years? I think by then the interest of diablo on consoles wouldnt be there. I hope it does comeout for consoles but shouldnt we be hearing more about consoles and blizzards plans to use them

In Urban We Trust- Da Legends...Tim Tebow, Percy(OH MERCY!) Harvin, JJ Redick, Jimmer Fredette, Chris Rainey, and Reggie (The Eraser) Nelson. Da Music- Blink 182, AvA, Dashboard confessionals, the early november/Ace Enders.
They said the box was only for testing some stuff for the moment.
As for the Valve box, it could be good for them to have a direct platform to Steam, that would be one of the point.
It's also easier to develop on console because you know the hardware and its limits.
There's currently some severe drawbacks to the current consoles (closed network is one of them), and a new, more open, console would be good for the market, and for their wallet
This whole Idea was scrapped a little while back. Valve denied making a console. Now I feel the only console they can go with is PS3. There's a 0.00001% chance they'll partner with XBOX, and a 0.001% chance they'll partner with Nintendo. Xbox is a no because you are required to pay to play, and Nintendo doesn't have a market share worth the money and effort spent on porting it to the Wii U. PS3 had a partnership with Valve and Steam for Portal 2 and I'm sure they can work something out with Blizzard for D3 and B.Net, hey maybe even SC and WoW?

If the platform is going to be the PS3 then you can kiss goodbye D3 on consoles for at least 2 years as it will need to be completely re-written to work on the PS3's hardware. I think if anything they will put it on the xbox.

There's a simple reason this won't happen, a) they have to re-write the code anyway, although Xbox is made by microsoft they are not the exact same systems. xbox requires a monthly fee which we all know Blizzard said no way jose. So we can easily rule out the Xbox but PS3 is the one that fits the bill perfectly.

Personally I dont think we will see console Diablo 3 until the next gen consoles. I think this because we know blizzards track record with dev time.

What's the point if the hype die?
