The timing fits, one week before the announcement. The site might even change within the next few days, but I'm pretty convinced now that we'll see an x-pac teaser trailer at GC. And like you said, Jaetch, D3:RoS sounds better than D3:TDB (almost sounds like "to be done", lol).
I think it's pretty clear we're going after Leah's soul in the expac. I hope the story telling will follow the old school way and not the spoon feeding we got from vanilla D3.

I long figured Leah would be centerpiece (or somewhat) in the D3 expansion. The developers and—I may be mistaking a few people here—Chris Metzen (the story/franchise developer at Blizzard), were pretty attached to Leah when they created her as a character. They hinted in the Collector's Edition behind-the-scenes interviews that they'll probably explore the possibility of rescuing Leah's lost soul in the future.
Well, the future's here.
Edit: Imagine there are two D3 expansion packs to be released simultaneously? The Dark Below & Reaper of Souls?
But yeah, in all seriousness, The Dark Below seems it's going to be for WoW. Makes so much more sense at this point.
And, at the End of Days, Wisdom shall be lost
as Justice falls upon the world of men.
Valor shall turn to Wrath-
and all Hope will be swallowed by Despair.
Death, at last, shall spread its wings over all-
as Fate lies shattered forever.
The text on the teaser is from that, the Prophecy of the End Days, which is found in the Book of Cain. Each line refers to an Archangel's aspect, except for Death. Malthael, former Archangel of Wisdom, who wandered off centuries ago and is 'forever seeking answers to the unknowable mysteries of life and deathh' is likely to return as Archangel of Death and be our Reaper of Souls
Yeah, could be a corrupted Imperius or Trag'Oul, but I'm definitely more inclined to believe Malthael lost faith in all good things and became a very very bad tempered Nihilist...
And poor Itherael going to bite the dust... damn, I liked him.
And dude, you guys totally need to go back to the OP and give that guy them +1 cookies /thumbs-up-whore-from-youtube-mode-off
We here so much of corruption in the storylines of video games these days, it's getting kind of boring and predictable (It's riddled throughout the current WoW storyline, correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it in the latest Starcraft expac?)
I don't think Imperius would become corrupted. I mean yeah he's a bit of a dick when it comes to his opinion on the existence of Sanctuary, but maybe it's just that. Also (to my knowledge) we have no hint or knowledge of Imperius even having the possibility of becoming corrupted. We all saw how much he hated demons.
EDIT: Uhh it's been a while since I've read the Book of Cain, my friend borrowed it from me over a year ago and hasn't given it back yet

So what I said earlier about there not being any hints, I guess this one came back to slap me in the face!

Man, I can't wait for another week. Damnit! I hope they present small tidbits on a daily basis on that website until GC, as they did for the D3 announcement.
I'm going to take a wild guess and say: There are applications and/or scripts that will scan websites and notify you of changes/new content.
EDIT: Anyways, I haven't been this excited since waiting for D3. Cant wait to sink another 2-300+h into the expansion. But I really really hope they have listened to community feedback and deliver something more appealing and playable..
Heh, complaining about the playability of a game I've played for more than 300 hours.. :|
So there you go... heard it here first...
(click the image, ffs!)
Hmmm...who is death in the Diablo universe? Someone who can't save you from Diablo?
I see wut u did ther...
Death can be a couple figures in the Diablo Universe. Hints on the thread tags?
A part of the prophecy isn't fulfilled yet as well: the loss of Fate. So that could be another major event in Act 5?

Good eye.
One does what one can.
Death with wings could be corrupted Imperius.
