Was just starting to look up the advancements of d3 and while I am glad in some areas to see a sort of new aproach (it's been years now we can't keep playing the same game forever) I was just concerned with some things i've been seeing about character customization. I think i saw somewhere about upon reaching new lvls skills and attributes will be auto filled?? I really hope that is a rumor as the idea of that really angers me. It takes the fun out of lvling and basically limits the interest of a creation of every class to only once. The customization aspect was by far my favourite thing about the diablo series (d2 specifically) in the way that you could take a character class and go several routes with it. I love strolling around with a class looking different from players of the same class and having different skill sets than most. I also loved how you could take some skills from other classes through certain runewords (enigma with teleport for ex). OH MAH GAWD I hope they keep a very similar runeword system. Please, please tell me that these parts at least will hold same/similar for d3 as I see it as a diablo identity.
Dude you get a rep point just for having that jesus pic.
Well back on topic, yea im hoping that we can still do a ton of builds from just 1 class and that some items can still give some of the other classes abilites. But then again it would be kind of weird to have a barb using teleport in d3 or a WD using frost nova. But we just gotta wait and see how its going to end up.

You don't customize your STATS anymore, but you still customize your SKILLS.
No such thing as runeword anymore, but the other possible item customization systems have not be revealed (yes, there are some).
Enigma was stupid. Everyone having access to teleport is stupid.
Items that gives access to other class' abilities shouldn't exist at all, in my opinion.
Yea thats what their used for now, im pretty sure theres a video on youtube showing how some of the runes work ill try to get it for you. Ah here it is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ouYP1zGfd0s

Yes, the stat customization is gone, unfortunately. Probably because Blizzard didn't like how you could get some very unbalanced builds in Diablo 2. People just invested in a few stats, as some were useless, like dex. Still though, if Blizzard had simply made balanced stats to begin with...
Anyways, I will miss the stat customization. I guess that we'll have to settle for WoW-like talent customization in the skill tree, plus runes of course. Once again, Diablo 3 has proved itself to be half Diablo, half WoW...for better or for worse.
