Jul 3, 2012SFJake posted a message on Magic Find Gear Swapping and RMAH Commodities Coming Soon, Gold Not Included InitiallyI think option 2 and 3 without any visual clue in details would be all this needs if they care so bad about removing this "feature", as they are not intrusive. Don't know why the hell they care about how players can notice it or not. So much crap in this game is never told to the player.Posted in: News

Why?
Because farming is stupid.
Blizzard got the idea that designing anything in the game around such a stupid concept as farming wasn't good. -

Mar 22, 2012SFJake posted a message on Nephalem Valor BuffI have to say, I do not understand what it does change with its clarification either.Posted in: News
These were pointed out already I guess, but I'll just point out what personally bothers me:
-Very low stacks. It basically brings back boss runs because of it, doesn't it? I thought the point of this would have been having people going all over the place. This certainly doesn't do that. It just means you have to kill champions in the way to the boss. Its better than not having it but... plus, if it doesn't reset after a boss, then you just go straigth to other bosses? Not sure how this plays out ultimately but its not -quite- what I had in mind.
-I still see no point whatsoever in a time limit on something that goes out when you leave the game. Make me get it Blizzard, there's no reason.
-I can't possibly agree that one person changing skill in a group penalizes everyone heavily. Thats just dumb. -
Mar 21, 2012SFJake posted a message on Nephalem Valor BuffPosted in: News
There are no meaningful choices at all. There is actually no penalty whatsoever, you just have to stick to your build for the duration of the game, until you die, or until you beat a boss. Again, that changes nothing. It would have been mostly like that with or without this feature.Quote from Ruppgu
I'm all for meaningful choices and this change is what has finally swayed me into liking the D3 skill system. Finally, we have a meaningful reason to stick with our builds.

thank you for actually using your brain and thinking about the system. you are one of the few
Your definition of having a brain is agreeing with your non-sense.
There isn't even a semblant of permanent choices that this make at all. It does not affect the leveling process, it does not even affect how most people would have been playing end game.
I don't expect you to understand anything further than that. I am NOT for absolutely permanent characters, but the game should reward proper building of a character and using what you have.
Where is the satisfaction of building a character? A lot of it was lost and you probably don't care but most importantly, I don't think you have the ability to even understand it. Like someone that cannot understand challenge and hardships presents rewards and satisfaction from it. Absolute freedom of manoeuvre makes this game shallower.
But I'm sure I'm talking way too dumb for you to comprehend the meaning of rewards in diversity. Apparently, everybody loves to be hand-fed every possibility. Imagine a game with 2 completely different endings and different routes to this. Current generation of gaming dictates that you should just be able to -switch- to the other ending for the sake of it.
Forced repetition through builds absolutely set in stone that can't accept any mistake whatsoever (like D2 mostly was) = too much.
But the absolute opposite, while better, is by no means ideal, and much was lost. Can you see that? I don't expect you to. -

yay people can stop QQing about build devotion/hot swapping on the go and boss loot. hooo-fucking-ra. praise the diablo gods
Its a band aid solution that fixes nothing.
Some level of permanency shouldn't need to be encouraged, it should just be.
This changes almost nothing on that regard. I'm not saying its not nice to have, but its not even a solution to that at all. -
Mar 21, 2012SFJake posted a message on Nephalem Valor BuffI think this is a great idea. I'm actually completely surprised they went this route. I honestly never expected anything but an half-assed solution that would make me run the same exact spot over and over.Posted in: News
As far as I'm concerned, this looks satisfying. A few things, however:
-I don't think a time limit should be given with this. There are MANY things that can remove the buff. A time limit just feels completely ridiculous.
-Of course, losing it on death is more-or-less necessary without a time limit.
-I think if it doesn't stack, it kills 90% of the purpose of this buff. It should have you killing as much as possible up to a limit, where you kill a boss and get good chances for good loot. Thats how it sounds fun to me. -
Mar 8, 2012SFJake posted a message on Diablo 3 Patch 14 - Patch NotesWell, damn, Blizzard! About time you understand that there are no logical reasons to deny people a first run through the game on hardcore!Posted in: News
Well, even that undeniable truth isn't quite understood properly it seems, since you force us to level to level 10. However as the beta shows, thats pretty quick and easy, and shows almost nothing of the game.
Also, some much needed change for the skill system. Still can't see all the skills in one spot, though. Nevermind the runes. Thats one thing you're apparently still too blind to listen to. -

No, they most certainly are not. This day and age of gaming is dark exactly because even the very people buying the games actually look at it this way. No wonder the gaming world is such garbage.Quote from ZombieMuse
On a more serious note, I understand the reason they are making these choices. Almost all of the things they are changing are to make the game more accessible and enjoyable to more people. Sadly, this sometimes means that experienced or even average gamers like the game less as a result. Yes, they want to sell as many copies as they can, get as many people to like the game as they can. Those are their reasons, they're logical and understandable

Are you serious or on drugs while typing this?Quote from Icecubeoli
I would like to test this but then i dont exactly support it. Loot dropping runes are so much more fun. They make for anticipation in the demon huntng world and did in d2. High runes dropping was a rarity which could only be achieved through the farming of a few select mobs which gave out hrs. It made it fun!
There is fun to be had from rune dropping but whenever someone essentially says "I want more farming" I can't take them seriously. -

What the HELL is wrong with developers these days? I can't be polite and respectful when this is how they see things. I can't, its impossible, its beyond my simple frustrated self's skills to understand or even accept the existence of such idiocy. -

No, its completely pointless as in it completely trivialized identification and makes it purposeless. There is absolutely no point to identify, its just a complete time waster as it is, and so it was in D2 as well.Quote from Laevus
I know it seems really silly but I don't like the idea of right click to identify things. Having Cain identify things made sense since he's so old and wise, using a magical scroll is also fine, but having your hero just cast something will take getting used to. Practically though, it's a great idea and a lot more painless

Lets add something ridiculously grindy that adds nothing to the end game at all except more pointless grind which is what the entire game is already about?
I'm not saying the addition is "negative" but it adds absolutely NOTHING meaningful to the game, its the exact same old dribble yet people somehow think this is worth playing the game again?
Are people so stuck up in their desires for a game to tell them they're making progress (even if they're wasting their lives on it) that they become so pathetic to think this change alone is their saviour?
What a joke. Diablo doesn't even deserve the title of game anymore and everyone that's liking this is a sad little pawn that needs to get a fucking grip of reality.

You cannot teleport over certain things a barbarian can leap over. Try the pits in Izual's room, thats when I truly learned about that.
Pathetic. Teleport has basically nothing unique and good about it and has a ridiculous cooldown AND a AP cost (albeit a small one). Leap is so much better in every way.

What have you done to this forum.

I got my Wizard to level 55, stopped cold, never could bother again, incredibly boring. Then played Normal with each class. I'm still not done, haven't touched D3 in a while actually, but its more fun than just playing at high levels.

The result isn't... quite that.

There was a day games were made for fun.
What a bunch of garbage. Who cares if they have to redo everything, they already should with their shitty itemization.

Because everybody is using it, and doing it will just cause more things to happen in the RMAH.
Ideally such nerfs (or buffs) should constantly happen every month to force people to buy and sell more gear.
Blizzard CANNOT hit balance. WoW proved that to me. As long as they expect anything they'll never be content and won't fix anything, they just love to shift balance by nerfing things to death.
0
Never liked Attack Speed. For a few classes the design of the energy resources goes against it.
But I'd like to see how having so much attack speed on a barbarian looks like with Frenzy.
1
Some monsters have dreadfully slow attacks and can't be dodged. If its that bad, some monster's attack animation can be made faster.
They should also ideally, home in (so you can't just move to the side of the monster to dodge it) and have "some" range so that if you're not actively moving before they start to swing, they can hit you.
And besides that, there are days I don't care about weird "balance" decisions.
There's a simple point to make. Is it fun to get hit from 10 meters away? No. Remove it.

Anything that repeats a looping, constant pattern is so....... so easy to detect....
I didn't know hackers were in a delusional world where only .exe interacting with the game directly can be detected.
