but now that they tried to hotfix the problem with WP, it means they are now serious, and its now risky to go there (possible bans)
I highly doubt if the WP's spread like last time that they will ban 90% of the beta community thats going there cuse the current beta is boring as hell.
If they have a problem with it they should fix the underlying issue: the bug, instead of wiping peoples WP's as a band aid fix.
So wait, if this guy somehow broke the game in a manner that allowed him to see content he wasn't supposed to see, does that mean that Diablo 3 isn't as hackproof as Blizzard promised?

The wps disappear after you leave game, so the person would have to walk through the map again.

First of all it isn't a hack its a bug
Secondly, blizzard didn't promise anything, they stated a fact that diablo 3 will be more "on top off" the hacks/dupes/whatever because it runs on the new battle.net system
If they wiped the WP, then how do you get passed the locked gate? If people are still going there, the bug remains.
Can someone write how to do it?
I already send a video and what I saw to blizz. I do want them to fix this "bug" up, but I also wanted to go in there with my Wizard. SORRY! lol
I dont want them to fix this "bug". thats development time wasted on finishing the game.
Agreed. What do testers get? 2 more areas, a new vendor with 4 dyes and 3 new monster types. With some luck 2 new events. That's still just 2% of the entire game. If you ask me they should actually release the zones for the testers. That way the testers are happy and Blizz won't care what happens further since there's no way to go past the broken dungeon. All the bug and exploit are doing right now is taking precious time from Blizz to fix something that can never occur in the actual game.

Win win.
There was also "no way" to get past the locked gate. What happens if someone finds a way past the broken dungeon? Blizzard's not going to open the floodgates on content they didn't officially release.
Instead of trying to fix it (more manpower and time that could be devoted to the actual release instead) they should just leave it be.
Gives Beta players some different scenery to play in (who isn't sick of it by now) and since there are no spoliers or major quests, nothing is leaked out. Its already there, might as well let us use it.
After all, why in the hell was this part of the download in the first place? And what else is hiding in there as well?
It makes me sad to be honest. Now Blizzard will be forced to commit resources to fixing a problem that the final product wouldn't suffer from in the first place.

It's just a bug in beta.

but something to keep in mind, this IS on the beta servers, all their security is most likely not active =) [not to say we wont see issues at first]

So apparently.... he uses a wizard every time he walks through the map.

who says they are not testing security?
BTW I hope they do start banning... then they will invite some more and my chances of getting in get better
Win win.
Ha. Bagstone.
