This thread will be dedicated to a specific piece I've been working on in my free time.
I will post each work in progress image as I go along. Depending on how big the changes are, some may be skipped. You will be able to tell by the title of the image.
These will also be reduced to 25% of the size of the originals.
You are more welcome to leave your opinions and comments but do not flame me or other members or this thread will no longer be updated.
Flash or Photoshop? Looks like Flash to me, but the clouds make me wonder.
It's photoshop. Nothing south of the clouds has had anything done to it. It's not even close to complete. Most of that stuff didn't take very long, there was just a lot of different experimentation going on.
I like it with the color in #4 better than the b/w in #5.

I think once the ground, lighting and shadows are complete, you'll appreciate the blackness. It will give it a strong contrast with the ground.

Will his fur get more texture?
Yes, it will.
Sounds great! Looking forward to the updates.

Some of the detail did come through though. Coming along nicely.

Work on this image is entering a temporary hiatus. The reason for the hiatus is so that I may work on the storyline, title, and title images for the comic book I had previously asked if anyone was interested in helping with. Since I got no responses, I've been forced to look elsewhere and while I've made little progress, I'm hoping to take steps to further development sometime in December.
I nicknamed the character Fluffy for reasons completely irrelevant to the idea. If you were observant, I had originally posted this image in another thread using the characters actual name. For those of you that are curious, the character's name is Abraxas, and the book will have multiple titles, one for each arc. As of now, there are 3 arcs planned with a possibility for many more. These arcs don't necessarily have to be written by me, so those of you with a passion for writing can indeed write your own arcs. Obviously, this would come later after the character's foundation is solid and other writers have something to base their stories on. All of these arcs will follow Abraxas with each arc having a different set of main characters and the option of some recurring characters. This will be due to the stories overall timeline which may or may not span thousands of years with the exception of the first arc, which will take place billions of years prior to the rest of the arcs.
If you have not already guessed, Abraxas is an immortal demon of sorts. The first arc will explain his origin and will thus be titled Abraxas - Origin. The other arcs are not to be exposed at this time and are currently untitled. Those with a religious background, or just a curious one, may also recognize the name. It is indeed a "real" demon, and my character is very loosely based on elements of the actual demon's mythos. While the look will be nothing alike, the story will make use of two key elements of the legend of Abraxas. These two elements are the creation of Abraxas Stones and the idea that Abraxas is an entity representing both God and Satan. Due to this, Abraxas is neither good nor evil. This will obviously be explained more as the storyline develops.
My ultimate goal is to put out the first arc, and an issue or two of a second arc. Basically, I want enough of the story and character developed to try to move from independent publishing to either Image or Dark Horse. Marvel and DC are clearly out of the question. Ideally, Image is my first choice because much of the style of this book is inspired by the darkness surrounding characters like Spawn. I feel that there are not enough truly dark characters.
Sorry for the long post. That's pretty much all I have to say at this point. If anyone has questions I'm capable of answering, I'd be glad to.

Sounds quite interesting and amibitous. Though I'm not much of a comic fan, I'll be eagerly awaiting the result of this. Good luck in finding the help you need
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.
I would love to pursue a profession in the arts. I unfortunately, don't have the money to get the hardware to really invest into my digital art. I have a mouse.
Not a werewolf fan, but these look cool. I have to say, S/he did look cooler with the claws visible in my opinion, otherwise s/he does not show up as much.
