Well, it seems like the Heat are doing pretty well, Bulls are totally bust and the Spurs came from behind to grap the nr1 seed in the west. I still have Heat in the Finals, but I'm not so sure who will make it out of the west. Lakers, Thunder and Spurs are seem likely contenders.

posted a message on Runeword and rare item questions?
    Quote from Dawn

I'm only level 25 and in normal at the moment though, so I'm just using whatever items I find along the way (doesn't really matter). But I want to find some really good gear when I beat hell. Any tips/locations on how/where you guys would find all of the gear listed in hammerdin guide above? Thanks!
Can't be done in the window of time we're talking about here unless you increase the drop-rates of uniques etc. in the game files.

I can't recall whether a Hammerdin is gear dependent or not, but beating Hell in SP is hard since you will basically only get shit gear. I'd recommend either going with a dual-spec sorceress (cold/fire or cold/lightning) or a summoning necromancer. Those classes require the least gear and can take Hell with with basically only their skills. It will still be tough though.

posted a message on Adding Recipe lists to Craftsmen pages
I am not sure what you are asking. Are you wondering what templates and pages would have to be set up in order to condense all relevant information about an item into a list? So that one line could display not only the recipe cost but also item data about the final item?

It should be possible to do, but to combine the data of both the target item and the recipe page would require a new template.

Also note that the Recipe pages you are talking about are actually data pages that have ended up in the wrong namespace. Eventually we'll move them, but for now they work as they are.

So what would have to be done is create a list template for this, possibly modify one of the current ones instead. That's actually it, that should be ebough in order to create lists similar to what appear on item lists such as DiabloWiki.com - Belt List Belt List.

The above question isn't a lore question, but the answer is no in any case. Cities will all work much the same as DiabloWiki.com - New Tristram New Tristram.

At the start of the season, I would say Derek Rose for MVP, but how can you be MVP when your team wins without you? I think well see the MVP race clear up when we get to some the end of season and the playoff race begins.
    Now that's a good point :P

The standard title is Diablo Fan.

Some people have custom titles, like staff members and people who've won contests.

Zakarumite, Zealot, Fathful etc. are old titles that were used in aprevious version of the board. For some reason that we do not know, people still get these titles sometimes instead of Diablo Fan.

They're currently fighting for the 8th seed in the Eastern Conference against the Knicks. If the Knicks get their shit together for the rest of the season I don't think the Bucks will make it, though they are on a six game streak at the moment.

That being said they'll end up against the Bulls in the quarters anyway if they do make it, and there's no way they'll get past Chicago.

cant seem to get plugy to work for it, i keep getting errors...anyway il just download a 1.13 copy but i don't see any options in plugy to change drop rates
PlugY doesn't affect drop rates in any way, so you can't use the mod for that purpose.

If you want to change the drop to drop more items, read this: http://phrozenkeep.hugelaser.com/index.php?ind=reviews&op=entry_view&iden=417

The files necessary can be found [url=http://www.diablofans.com/topic/20502-all-diablo-ii-txt-files/]. Put those files in data/global/excel which you place in your D2 folder (so it will probably look like Program Files (x86)/Diablo II/data/global/excel).

Then add -direct -txt to the Target line of your D2 shortcut in order for the game to read your modified files rather than it's own MPQs.

    Quote from Jinshin

Well, yeah, but I just wonder at their lore-related "excuse" to put it in there. If any. :P
I'm fairly confident that it's just gameplay, just as Town Portals and waypoints aren't part of the lore in any way. It doesn't make any sense, the buff makes monsters drop more items, but they certainly don't do that in the lore either. So what would they actually need to explain?

Eastern Conference: I think the Bulls will take out the Heat in the Conference Finals this year. The bulls seem more Hungry to me and Boozer is actualy playing good Basketball this season. If Rose gets healthy and Hamilton gets healthy (and contributes) the Bulls will be Very difficult for the Heat to beat, unless of course the Heat's Super Stars go un-concious.. then they are immpossible to beat. I just don't think it will happen this time.
Well if anyone is going to take them out it's the Bulls. Arguably they're playing even better than last year

Reg Season MVP - I think Lebron should win MVP hes putting up 28/8/8 and shooting 55% from the field. That like a monster big-man and elite point-guard statistics combined. Though I think Durant will win MVP though he is having a fantastic season i believe he wins more because people hate Lebron than Durant actually having the best season.
You could say that already happened last year when LeBron had a great season as well (just not ending that well). If he doesn't get it this year again, with the numbers he's currently posting... it would be unreal.

Tyrael hands down. There is no one even close to surpassing him as my favorite character, though Diablo himself would be second. I always preferred the series more for it's cosmological entities than its humans.

    Wasn't D2's Necromancer supposedly Zayl?
No but Karybdus was supposedly loosely based on the D2 necro according to Knaak in an interview we did with him some years ago here on Dfans.

I was wondering if this thread would ever pop up without Irrational.

Eastern Conference: Miami and Bulls, I can't see any other two teams really beating these two in a best of seven in the east. Maimi will win again this year, so long as the Big Three remain uninjured.

Western Conference: The The Thunder are definitely one, but I could see either Spurs, Lakers or Clippers (yeah I know they can't meet right now, but if the standings change...) facing them. I don't keep up as well with the Western Conference :P

Regardless though I expect Miami to win. LeBron is going to get the MVP this year based on his incredible season. Finals MVP I expect to be awarded to him as well, though that will depend more on how those games play out.
