So after ages of grinding in act3 i finally get a drop that seems worth something: DML
with 301 dex, 241 vit, 10chc, 16AS, hungering arrow increased by 14%
I checked AH, it seemed to be worth quite a lot. I checked general and some one wanted to buy for 50m. That would have been the most i have ever sold something for.
In game this guy was talking about how this item might be duped, that i should drop it, so he could se it wasnt duped. Imo thats fishy, right? Then he walked really far away, and i thought whats the harm, lets just drop quick and pick it up again.
But then i wasn't able to pick the item up again and this other player picked it up instead and logged out
So yeah i feel pretty stupid now.
Just in case, the name of this player is: Dizzy#2655
I am geussing Blizzard cant do anything here?
So i for one wont selling stuff outside the AH anymore. Let this be a warning for other peeps and avoid business with this guy.
The way you describe it I don't see any handle for Blizzard to do something about it. I'm sorry that you lost your item, but then again like you said you "feel pretty stupid now" and that's probably what many people here will throw at you... it was, in fact, stupid to drop the weapon. Sorry, but I guess you learned the hard way to not trust anyone you don't know.
what i really dont get is why ppl dont leave the game when someone asked bs like that? its been like this since D2! how should he see if the item was duped by dropping it on the ground? warden always checks inventory and equipped items aswell
imo you can scratch that "maybe my own fault", it is your fault and nobody can change anything about that. the item is gone for good and the only thing you can do about that is report the play and add her/him to that trade-blacklist
sorry if i sound a bit harsh but thats how it is. for future trades just leave the game if an idiot wants you to drop the item. the item you had there was quite good, so you will definitely find someone else to buy it
€: just checked the battle.tag of that guy on the blacklist and there are quite some ppl writing what you just posted here
Thnx for pointing out the blacklist. Should have trusted my gut instead of being naive Dammit

Any idea why you couldn't pick it back up again? You should have been able to drop it and pick it back up. Some kind of hack?
I tried to pick it up like 4 times, didnt work
I feel pretty stupid tbh. I submitted a ticket, but i doubt blizzard will restore the item.
