Well there is 800 x 600 too, and then there are some hacks/mods (whatever you want to call them) that changes - well one I know of (don't know what it's called or sites though, just heard of it :D) but supposedly it looks bad.
Just use 800 x 600 (in-game options ;))

Your referring to Diablo II. This is Diablo I.
I do not think you can change the size, I think it's limited to the one size due to the limitations of the graphic engine or whatever it was that was used to make the game, at the time.
Might be a mod or two out there that can do it, but I haven't heard of any specifically.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.

I doubt it, the resolution rules for these games are usually very simple and they just recopy the game area the bigger the monitor gets. It's just that no one ever made a mod for Diablo, which perplexes me. Or Diablo II. Or StarCraft, for that matter.

Not sure if they do that. They are generally content adding stuff. PhrozenDragon will be able to confirm what they do.
