My favorite mini game in D2 that I'm gonna go ahead and take credit for is hide and seek. When with a friend, you have him minimize the game window and you hide somewhere in town. Then they come back and have to find you. Obviously though you have to rely on the honor system and trust they do not use their map. But there are actually some pretty clever places you can hide in towns. And you can limit it to one town, two, or to make it really challenging make it all towns and enforce a time limit.
One time actually RobHnk and I were playing and he disguised his Barb as one of the Barbarian guards strolling around Harrogath. Took me awhile to figure out.
I don't know abt diablo mini-games:P
Hitman series offer good leisure time. Skip the first one though- its really hard and gameplay a bit crappy. The second one is awesome and the others follow suit..
it would be cool to hide outside towns and having being all hotile, and you have to find one guy... if you find another they kill you and you loose your turn, and so on... would be cool to see who gets more points
I like Siaynoq's hide and seek idea. It would be very hard but fun to try that in some of the larger towns or dungeons. Imagine being the one hiding and finding one of those secret chambers. Best hiding place ever.
You'd be surprised how many places there are to hide in the Rogue Camp alone. And sometimes you'll even hide in more obvious places and it's like in Where's Waldo? where he's right in front of you but you miss him cause you're thinking too large.
Mm, I don't know about that. It wouldn't take long before it would just become so difficult that it'd be pointless. In ES they have brass knuckle weapons though.
If you could get enough ppl to do it you could do capture the flag with the standard of heroes in the bloody more ive done it a few times with friends and when i was in a clan.
Airandius, yes. Another place that's really fun to race is from the Harrogath exit to the Bloody Foothills. All the steps and path deviations make it interesting. Cause you're hardly running side by side but trying go your own way. Sometimes you'll even get stopped by a dead end. My Sin once raced a Paladin with his Vigor aura activated and I totally kicked his ass.
1) who can die the fastest: run new characters to their death.
-make new chars
-enter a game on hardcore (preferably one where other people are leveling/playing so they can be shocked by your ineptitude)
-remove shields (if you were stupid enough to make a character that has a shied)
-start at the rogue encampment entrance and run into the blood moor and on..
-whoever dies first wins
play best 3/5 or etc
2) who can live the longest: run new characters through act1 without killing mobs or dying.
-make new chars
-enter a game on hardcore
-run without fighting mobs WITH your opponent to as far as you can go
-whoever gets furthest without dying wins
3) charge wars (requires collecting charged items over a long period of time): duel (preferably on hardcore) with items that grant charges.
"you are only allowed to use skills of other classes"
-over time collect random items that grant charges. when you and another person each have a full mule account proceed to step 2
-you and the other person lvl chars to 60 (all stats to strength and dex NO skill points spent)
-clear the blood moore with a capable character
-place the charged items from both mules in blood moore
-lvl 60 characters (naked, all points to str/dex, no skill points used) hostile each other and enter the blood moore
-pick up charged items and duel to the death (when the charges are out of an item drop it and get another till all are gone or one person dies)
