It bothered me for a month or so; those runes. I remember when they looked a lot clearer back with my first Female Witch Doctor wall. I had noticed in recent weeks that the runes got blurrier and blurrier. The last straw was looking at all of my wall art on a 1680x1050 viewing, 21 inch widescreen monitor. The rune’s horrible blur finally was revealed to me.
I want to apologize to any who love my wallpapers, but hated some of the blurring. I spent this week rebuilding the runes and the rune circles for locations and other rune style images for future wall art. The runes were rebuilt with an image that was 6feet by 3.5feet. (21200x12800)... no I’m not joking.
Here is a comparison.
The difference is night and day. I will be able to do so much more in the future when I build new walls and maybe even new series styles. But that is for another time. Hope future walls look better in time.
- Tristram –
With all that said I wanted to finally make the Tristram wallpaper. Violet Joker beat me with his 4 styles of locations. This time on this wall I wanted to get the colors from the des systema to blend and not overtake the Tristram image. I also blackened out the sides of the Tristram art. The image itself was smaller than the 2650x1600 panorama, and left the sides undone. The end result I thought was awesome. It also is my favorite in the sub series of locations for the Fiery Runes Series Two.
Also rebuild the runes for this wallpaper too, as said in the beginning. I hope you all enjoy this wallpaper as I did fine tuning, and polishing up the rune-circle. Let’s hope for a lot at blizzcon, so we can all have more artwork for the fan art gallery! See you next week, hopefully a new class or two will be revealed...
its the "systema des" from the d3 logo, Adobe Photoshop CS3, helped break it up. Violet Joker from diii.net and a member of the Fiery Zod, did that and made it a huge wallpaper, and i started using it in some of my walls, and i still give him credit for that.
each time i rework something it gets easier and easier from time and experience, the first time i did the runes was 10 days, this second time, 3 hrs. and each time i get more creative, and sharper images. If the art isn't clear at least i tried. I try hard now to make these images as clear as i can, each series i raise the bar higher. I dont plan to stop making these even after the release of the game. So ill be doing this a long time, internet connection willing!
I extracted the background from that page and have attached it. It's my favorite piece of art to come out of Diablo III so far--I'd be stoked if it inspires you to make a wallpaper!
The blurring is because of the constant saving. Each time you save something in a lossy format, you lose parts of the code, that causes the blurryness. Corel, Photoshop are also lossy. Even at 100%.
Use a program where it can follow your actions so you can roll back changes if you've made a mistake instead of saving the file after a while.
Interesting work.

lol it can still easily be a ranger since who said you cant shoot arrows at melee distance xD

The Barbarian is from Arreat, a very cold snowy mountain top, but they are much tougher than normal humans, so they don't need warmth.

Where are Barbarians originally from? Sumeria, or more specifically Mesopotamia, AKA Europe. Think the Alps and the Pyrenees

Would you consider doing one using Caldeum?
